Great video! The computer animation and narration is done extremely well! I've installed several of these Delta contemporaries over past couple years. Customers love them! Good quality and will continue to buy these. Thanks Delta.
I had it professionally installed and they messed it up. The doors slide open to the right while taking a shower. I put a level on a top track and it is off. Now they are giving me the run-around to come and fix it.
For the delta classic 500 door, I drilled and screwed in the top bracket next to the top of the jambs (exactly like this 3:20 video). Then found out later that it has to be below the jambs. So now I have to take everything out and I’ll have holes in my tile that I need to somehow patch up. Instruction manual wasn’t clear at all and didn’t even show the collar below the jambs in that step
Would be nice if you uploaded a video showing how to install it with a rounded bottom. My shower has a rounded bottom and I can’t find any video showing how to install it.
I used plywood an painted it to match. cut to the dimensions of the jamb and collar can’t even tell. Hope this helps. If I could upload a picture I would
I have this same shower door but for a tub, the design is made where there is about 1/2" gap where water seeps through and splashes on the ground. Has anyone experienced this for the tubs with this shower frame/track.
My doors are banging each other and cannot bypass each other. I’m super frustrated. I wish there was a FAQ portion of video or troubleshooting at the end.
yes, just tape it down for the rest of the installation time and it should be dry enough to remove tapes and finish when its time to silicone everything up
So how long should the side jambs be for a tub installation? Measurement of the glass door is 58&1/8 in., but would cutting it to that amount be too short?
I ran into the same problem. Instructions dont show height measurements for side jambs. Did you figure it out by any chance? I’d appreciate your input .
@@KendallHall From the Manual: "NOTE: Wall anchors MUST be used. For ceramic tiles, appropriate wall anchors can be used (purchased separately)." It does not say "Unless you are screwing into studs." So While it seems like you shouldn't need them with studs, it does not say that in the manual. This may have to do with preventing water penetration into the hole, which would quickly rot enough wood for the screw threads to lose grip. I would definitely contact the manufacturer to clarify this.
@@ziyarules Some people can't follow simple instructions. The number of product review I have seen of people complaining "It don't work" while showing a picture of it being clearly installed wrong is mind numbing. It's like a large number of people no longer have functioning brains.
just installed it today, me = 4 hours.
tip = time - 1:45 , 3:48 , 10:05. I had to use #9 x 2 1/2 " screws to grab behind the wall.
great vid. thanks.
This video was the most helpful I've seen.i could not have done it without you thank you so much great work

Use a metal file to file it down to match the curve of the tub..
Use a quarter to get the radius and file it down with a grinding wheel or metal file or even metal sandpaper
We have a one piece bath tub and surround. It is about 1.5 inches from the wall. How are we going to get this anchored to the wall?

Silicone is the only thing holding the bottom track?

How to fix scratch marble I can
Anchors not needed if securing into wall studs. You should mention that
People generally know that, I hope

I had 5 people at Home Depot scratching their heads. The instructions suck. If you really hate your life buy this product !!
Not worth the money. Rails are junk. This video says to drill and 1/4” hole and the installation Manual says to drill a 5/16” hole.
Video says 1/4" for the pilot hole and then 5/16" for the anchor hole.

This video was decent.
