Growing up, I served many funeral masses following the Latin ritual followed by the graveside service. I remember it very fondly and with great sadness that is gone.
Rex tremendæ maiestatis, qui salvandos salvas gratis, salva me, fons pietatis. Recordare, Iesu pie, quod sum causa tuæ viæ; ne me perdas illa die. Quærens me, sedisti lassus, redemisti crucem passus, tantus labor non sit cassus. Iuste Iudex ultionis, donum fac remissionis ante diem rationis. Ingemisco, tamquam reus, culpa rubet vultus meus, supplicanti parce Deus. Confutatis maledictis, flammis acribus addictis, voca me cum benedictis. Oro supplex et acclinis, cor contritum quasi cinis, gere curam mei finis. Lacrimosa dies illa, qua resurget ex favilla iudicandus homo reus. Huic ergo parce, Deus. Pie Iesu Domine, dona eis requiem. Amen.
Voglio questo inno quando non ci sarò più .Nella chiesa questo inno elevera'i ❤ a Dio e sarà di ammonimento alle anime fragili, purtroppo come la mia attuale .,😭😢
Szymon Gorczynski No Organ rule is only for Good Friday and Easter Saturday. Since I have been playing in Traditional Masses (8 years) there has always been organ for funerals, which all souls’ day ís basically. :)
Wait, there's another way to pronounce it? Do you mean it should be in the Classical Latin pronunciation, not the ECCLESIA-sctical Latin? That's like complaining that our English is not like Shakespeare, except Shakespeare is 400 years removed from modern English, and Ecclesiastical Latin is more than 1000 years removed from the Latin of the Caesars which makes it worse.
@@occamsrayzor7999 Yes, there is another way to pronounce it, I'm not sure what he is referring to, but in many countries the pronunciation of Latin is different. Many Eu countries had traditional pronunciation (Right now, because of the popularity of SSPX more ppl use Italian/French pronunciation, however you can still hear it even in SSPX chapels, most noticeable is hard "KWI" instead of soft "QUI"). E.g. Polish pronunciation is much closer to the classical one and for me as well as many people in Poland it's easier to say. I've heard (I cannot confirm this), that almost all countries to the south of Poland had this traditional one. You can look it up even on wiki: Latin regional pronunciation
I love this requiem hymn and have requested it for my own requiem mass. I belong to an SSPX Roman Catholic Church in Australia 🙏👏🇦🇺⭐️

Many thanks for uploading. ⛪✨God Bless
It's so sad that they take this chant out of the funeral liturgy...
they played this at my grandma's funeral, it was beautiful
@adolfsnape1481 in what year did she die?

I say if you want it have it added back. Make it one of your requests.
Beautiful
This performance is rare, because the Vatican removed this song from the funeral mass a century ago.

Brilliant! But I thought there's no organ on All Soul's Day

@@TradOrganist Maybe it's a tradition within the ICKSP, because we just sang unaccompanied.
Szymon Gorczynski Yeah, depends on the taste also. We always do it alternating.
But no liturgical restrictions for sure :)

It’s the Italian pronunciation, we are ROMAN catholic. What is your point?
