      @@TheGeno2001h I'm from the UK & rarely see marvel oil and never Seafoam, with your miles it's damn good you change engine oil 3,000m. Problem with us UK drivers is they seem to get it in their heads the average yearly mileage drivers do is 12,000m....yes & no. Many do more & less but the 12,000 yearly miles is said when we sell or buy cars.

    Yep I do a drain and fill on my Tundra Transmission every 30K but do my front diff and transfer case every 50 because they didn't seem too dirty due to not being used as much. Rear diff is done every 30 also.

    Just some info on my UK spec 2015 Yaris 1.3L CVT....3 yrs ago with 88,000m i drained & refilled x2 with genuine Toyota FE fluid that came in a 5L bottle,each drain is 2.2L so 2x drains is perfect for the amount. Now 3 yrs later i decided to do another drain & refill not x2 as i'm keeping the the rest (2.2L) inside the house not the garage so no damp gets inside & do another drain in 2yrs time. Got a good price on ebay (Discount code) at £66.49 was £69.99 (5L bottle) BUT 3 yrs ago the price was £59.99! Today another seller priced it at £74.99, WOW! So today on my 3rd drain at 98,500 miles the fluid looks a nice decent red when i checked the level.

    Thank you for the knowledge packed videos! My 2020 LX 570 has 23k miles, but it’s 4.5 years old. So, I’m due for an ATF change. Would you go for HPL ATF, or just stick with Toyota WS ATF while under warranty?

      This is what I use in my Lexus and Toyota. www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-fuel-efficient-100-synthetic-automatic-transmission-fluid-atl/?zo=5257753
      I have never heard of HPL, I don’t know if they have any test data for their atf. However, you can any fluid you feel comfortable with.
      My recommendation is to use what I am using for best protection and results , however feel free to use any fluid you are comfortable with

    Yes. I do an ATF drain and fill every 30k miles with OEM type 4 fluid (changes about 50% in my car). 2006 Toyota Matrix 4WD with 226,000 miles and shifts perfect (never dropped the pan/it has a screen filter). I also do the transfer case and read diff every 30k as well (Mobil 1 full synthetic 75w-90 gear oil). I do it myself for under 50 bucks.

    Hey, I saw you comment on a different channels video to check you’re change out you seem very knowledgeable, I had a question for my 2012 tundra 4.6 v8 5speed automatic trans, it’s at about 139k miles, I don’t think the previous owner ever serviced the trans, should i drain and fill the trans or just leave it sealed as is. I keep hearing mixed stuff to not drain it since it’s already been to long others saying it’ll be fine if i do drain and fill it 30k miles since in the next 3-4 it’ll 'complete' trans fluid swap the old remains. I appreciate you’re thoughts thank you

      @@repairvehicle i got this recommendation from someone would you recommend?
      Drain and fill, drive 50 miles, drain and fill, repeat till all fluid is used. On the last fill follow the technical manual to make sure of the proper level.

    • @repairvehicle
      @repairvehicle  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @rod.e10 instead of driving I just idle engine from 5 to 10 minutes. Yes you can do per someone’s recommendation, make sure every fill has correct amount of fluid inside transmission before driving.

    Off topic, what’s your opinion about Amsoil OE Motor Oil for Daily? I’m still using the Signature Series. Its for my daily car. I feel like I’ll save more money with OE. I change oil about 4500-5000 Miles.
