Finally!! Thanks Peachy... This was the song that got me into BTS, and that time, the members that stood out to me was Jin with "Come be my teacher"😊, Suga with his blue hair and dancing on the piano, and RM with his all white suit and hat, and his my bias 😊... This never gets old... Love it💜

What a great idea... watching "Boy In Luv" and "Boy With Luv" back-to-back to get the full context. The Boy With Luv video is soft, fun & endearing and of course the guys are so cute. But the lyrics are everything! Peachy, make sure to give it a 2nd look. RM's lyrics are so poetic, but Suga & J-Hope's raps are also so meaningful, along with the rest of the lyrics. This truly is a "we're grown & now we get it" love song!

I think they're saying there's a difference between boys IN love and boys WITH love. The first is more centered on their own feelings, while the latter focuses on the other person, and that is real strength. It's one of my favorite things they've done. Love your reactions! Keep it up!

She's ARMY and brings receipts.) There are a number of reasons for them to end their careers: contracts end or are dissolved, lack of profitability, etc.
You asked about whether BTS modified their choreography to accommodate Halsey. In the behind the scenes video (you can find one for every BTS MV on BangtanTV- however pre 2020 they might not have English subtitles so get it from BangtanSubs TH-cam channel) Halsey said she got a choreography video to learn separately from BTS.

Answering your 2nd question, this is one of their most popular songs but I think it isn't really representative of what their music is and means.
Those are two of my favorites as well! They’re both so emotional and both Youjeen and Woosung have incredible voices.
I don't think there's an actual connection in the lyrics but just a growth and maturity in understanding what real love is. It's going from selfish to selfless and that comes with age. the Boy With Luv music video was an homage to Singing In The Rain

also, additional info, bangtan didn't really released boy with luv just because boy in luv received hate before. the main reason they released it was because they were revisiting/reimagining their school trilogy era during their map of the soul era. yes, boy with luv is an answer to boy in luv so as on as the answer to n.o. intro persona (namjoon's solo on mots persona album), used a sample from the intro song of their skool luv affair album. interlude shadow (suga's solo on mots 7 album), used a sample from the intro song of their o!rul8t,2? album. and outro ego (hobi's solo song on mots 7), used a sample from the intro song of their debut album, 2 cool 4 skool. mots era was meant to be their last era before they enlist in the military in 2020/2021 that's why they reimagined their first era. they even performed no more dream, n.o., and boy in luv again on different award shows in 2019 to indicate that they are revisiting it. but since the pandemic happened, their initial plan didn't go as planned.

Just an FYI Peachy, both of these song don't have the kind of connection that they were making up for "Boy IN love" or something like that BUT it's more like before they were just teen boys who were IN love but after "love yourself" era which was from 2017-2019 in which they released trilogy album, Love Yourself: Her [2017], Love Yourself: Tear [2018], Love Yourself: Answer [2019] Boy WITH luv was part of the Love Yourself: Answer album which is the last album of this trilogy.. SOO they went from teenage boys who were in love TO the boys who learned to love themselves & hence became the boys WITH luv.
ALSO Fun fact, the korean title of Boy with luv is "A poem for small things"

You are not throwing shade on Stray Kids, they love BTS for mostly their dance moves and how effortless they make things look but also how strong their dance moves have always been through the years, in fact Lee Know was a BTS backup dancer. They went from a mostly yellow background that showed all their different colors to a blue background that made the blues pop, you are not going crazy.

Thank you for your reaction I love this song but some small advice because it was a thing in Army for a while be careful about using the first time tagline too much especially when it isn't actually your first time watching video boracity magazine I don't know if you know her but she is a real well respected Army who does video essays on topics that is within the BTS Army reactors using the first time clickbait was is one of them
She's heard the song on the radio, doesn't mean she'd ever seen the music video before! I think it's fine. 99% of her reactions on here are first time reactions, and it doesn't feel like clickbait to me.
Exactly when Reactors put Reacting to BTS for the First time in the title of the video, and the title of the song, I automatically know that it means it their first time reacting to this song not to BTS !! Especially if you follow these reactors through their journey!! I don’t know why BoraCity would say that cause I watched a lot of reactions to that specific video and the reactors all say the same thing, it’s their first time reacting to that song!! Anyway I love BoraCity’s videos and I understand where she is coming from, I have also followed Peachy from the beginning of Her Journey and Knew what she meant!! I knew that this wasn’t her first reaction cause I had followed her from the beginning is all I meant, and some fans of other Reactors that are in the BoraCity’s video also know that it might not be those peoples first time either but know it is their first time for that specific song !! Bottom line I always check other Reactors channels first and read comments before watching the videos!! The comments will usually inform you if it is clickbait, that’s just how I do it!! Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. My intro song was Boy with Luv ft. Halsey. She got me curious about the guys. Jimin also caught my eyes. With his pink hair and singing and dancing. So bloody cute. And I hate pink!!! I was a Jimin stan for a long time until I became OT7 and than Suga came as my wrecker. This is a weekly struggle yearly too. lol. Yes, Persona is the album the song was in. The full name of the album is MOTS: Persona. MOTS stands for Map of the Soul. Jhope is the 3rd rapper, sub vocal and main dancer plus dance leader. All rounder basically. =0} He is a vocal chameleon. His Jack in the Box album will shock you and thrill u at the same time. Peachy, girl, no other collab asked begged BTS to do choreo with them. Halsey wanted to dance with them! She was the 1st and only Western artist to ask begg and insist they teach her. U really need to watch all the behind the scenes for this one. Halsey was not able to do the full choreo. She said it's too hard. So she learned what she could and did her best. Halsey was only able to do a little of the choreo. They do real choreo in Korea nothing like what they do here she said behind the scenes. She is a good friend to them. She text's RM all the time. The guys gave her her own sparkly mic. She really loved theirs. I don't know if u noticed but now American artists are using sparkly mic's too. BTS sets' the standards u know, lol. Halsey gave the guys as presents a pink tennis bracelet they loved it. So cute! For a long time I did not know that this one was a deep song. It's an Army song for Army. So yes, it was filmed the year the song came out and they only now sharing it with us. They horde a LOT of videos. The last one was for a music bank or award show. Boy With Luv - they realize that the truest love is their relationship with ARMY. (Halsey represents ARMY here. She wasn't expected to dance, but she decided she wanted to try).
Both choreographies end with them doing "I love you" in sign language.

As others have said this song is for ARMY. RM said it's like we are family. Because they ACTUALLY tweet and fancafe all the time asking about us and what we're doing but we do the same to them. We are always asking have they eaten, did they rest, how are they feeling etc. He called ARMY Mom because we worry so much over them. Suga did change his voice up for the beginning of his rap. He plays with sounds a lot. The dance is so simple because this is a video for us, so we can do the dances as well. Also the video is an homage to Singin in the Rain. The movie shares dates with BTS: the movie opened on April 12th and came out officially in theaters on April 13th, the same as this comeback. In the RM part did you notice all the neon signs, they were the titles of their old albums and maybe a hint to the next album.

Don't know if they told you but the Boy With Luv MV was based off of Singing in the Rain. The MV was released on the same day Singing in the Rain released worldwide which was April 12th. RM's scene especially I believe was a homage to the film.

A curiosity about Boy with luv. In the verse where Jin sings "come be my teacher" we see in the choreography Suga pointing at Jhope and vice versa. They do this because Suga taught Jhope how to rap and Jhope taught Suga how to dance when they were trainees.

Suga and Halsey are very close friends, she calls him her twin. They have a couple of songs together and during Yoongi's tour she performed with him.
