“The Truth Untold” is based on the story of the Smeraldo flower. -In a village of northern Italy called ‘La Città di smeraldo’, there was a small secluded castle. In that castle lived a man with grotesque appearance. He was the love child of a duke from a powerful family in Florence. The duke fell in love with the daughter of his gardener and gave birth to this man. The mother of the man passed away from excessive bleeding after giving birth to him. The wife and children of the duke wanted to kill the man, so the duke sent the man away to let him escape. The man hid himself in the old castle, lonely. probably, it was because of the hatred he received from birth and while he's growing up that he didn’t open his heart to anyone, he got angry and hid if someone tried to approach him. His only joy was growing flowers in his garden. But one day, a girl appeared near the man’s castle. The girl in ragged clothes lifted her heels, jumped over the garden fence and stole the flowers. The man got angry at first, he spent the whole night to guard the garden. But in his brief moment of sleepiness, the girl picked flowers again and ran away. It happened for several days, until one night the man pretended to fall asleep and watched the girl go. He was curious. Without realizing it, the man waited for the girl, and one day he followed her. He covered himself with a cloak and after following here the man discovered, the poor and weak girl was selling flowers for a living. The man wanted to help the girl. He wanted to teach her every method of growing flowers he knew, he wanted to teach her how to grow beautiful flowers. But he couldn’t come forward to the girl. She would be scared of him, she wouldn’t love his grotesque appearance. In the end, the only thing he could do was to grow and take care of the flowers so she could keep coming to his garden. The man decided to make a special flower that doesn't exist in the world. He started to make a flower so that the girl could sell at an expensive price. The man shut himself in the castle to make the flower. After countless attempts, the man made a flower that never existed in the world, and filled his garden with that flower. But the girl was nowhere to be seen. No matter how much he waited, the girl wouldn’t come to his garden. The man grew concerned and went to the village with his face covered. But he discovered that the girl had already died.

The thing that I found the most amazing about BTS is I was so sure, during my times when I was down, that no one would be able to understand how I felt - then I heard "zero o'clock". I was speechless and in awe that there was a group of men that could sing about what I was thinking. I really started to pay attention, and "Magic Shop" came into my life. Talk about a song that can heal your soul; I am an older Army, but I really feel like BTS and Army speak my language. I can't ever say enough about these 7 precious beings...... They understand people (good and bad), life (ups and downs), and the importance of Love; it all starts with self, (your foundation) your building can't stand until your foundation is strong. My husband and I were high school sweethearts. We dated off and on from 8th grade until the end of high school. We went our separate ways after that and reconnected at age 40. I was divorced with two children and Josh had never married nor had any children. We reconnected via Facebook and he moved from Sacramento to be here in Dallas with me and my children. We had just short of 10 amazing years together before losing him to cancer. I understand exactly what it is like to reconnect with that one love. I will never remarry nor even date. I have no desire to. He was the one- the only one I have ever loved completely and know that I was given that in return. I don’t feel sorry for myself that he is gone. I feel sorry for people never knowing the full measure of love when it is genuine and constant. We are lucky just to experience that once in our lives. 💜

The lyrics relate to an Italian story about the Smeraldo Flower and the man who grew them who considered himself ugly and so wore a mask - a girl picked his flowers and he liked her but never had the confidence to tell her ...later he found she had passed away and so his love and sincerity went undelivered. The lyrics talk about concealing one’s true self and emotions and refraining from opening up to any individual. This is because one is under the impression that they will only be left alone in the end once again because of their ‘ugly’ side. So, they either think it is better to not open up at all or mask their inner struggles despite desperately wanting to unveil themselves and their true feelings. this is bts most sadest and beutiful written songs ever it´s so meaningful poetic. and many in korea was so surprised because it is not music boygroups use to make. same with spring day. that is why they have respect from older audience in korea aswell. BTW spring day is the most streamed song ever on Melon witch it koreas largest music platform. the song has never left the chart since it was released 6-7 years ago it´s so crazy it is the longest running song ever.
Hi thank you for this reaction vid. I'm a big fan of Jimin and just to share why I love his voice so much is because I always experience magic whenever I hear him sing. It's like there's this glowing light appearing slowly surrounding him so when he sings my world always stops because it's mesmerizing to watch and listen to him.

This is simply one of the most exquisite songs ever written and performed. You don’t even need personal context to love it. But if you have ever felt that parts of you needed to be masked to fit into a setting incapable of accepting you as a whole person, this song cuts to your core. We all ache to be accepted for our authentic selves. “To shed the mask and end the play” was a line from a poem I wrote decades ago. So I have always identified with BTS and their desire to shed their Fake Love masks and be accepted for their true selves and not just their Idol personas. Then they use this tragic love story as a metaphor. How can we not love them with songs this powerful and so perfectly executed?

I found my boys in 20-20 having heard that they did an insane Radio one (UK) live lounge performance. I found it and watched and I fell in to Jimin, quite literally. As I've got to know them all and all their personalities I adore them all, all for very different reasons, but for me my bias will always be Jimin 💜 borahae💜

This live is heartbreaking. This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen. All their performances in this are so good but for me Jimin Jin and V bring so much emotion. JK as usual is vocally perfect. Can there ever be better than this.... I doubt it.

This song made me cry when i first heard it. Omg. And seeing others crying makes me wanna cry too. The Truth Untold is a masterpiece and Jimin also made a connection to his album MUSE, the smeraldo flower…i just cant explain it but yeah Jimin loved this song. His voice gave me goosebumps.
BTS is just something special. I have been an enthusiastic consumer of music for decades, and NO ONE has ever hit me like these boys have. I did the single mom thing too - I never did and never will give my heart away again - except to these Korean boys. I discovered them when they performed DNA on the American Music Awards in 2017 and they crashed their way into my life, thank goodness. It was the worst year of my life, as I knew my oldest daughter would succumb to her Cystic Fibrosis disease before the year was out, and it did happen that November. I don't know WHAT kind of voodoo these guys have going on, but thank goodness I found them in time to help me deal with my grief. They can still "grab my hand" and pull me out of the dark places I sometimes land in - they are amazing!!! This song is a great example - the emotions they can evoke is something special in this crazy world.

I am 71 and have been an Army since 2017. When I watch BTS videos they always put a smile on my face and make me feel happy! We all need those moments when we need to put our minds in a place of freedom and calmness and thats what they do for me. So many talented young men that deserve all the happiness they can get! I have even been to their concert in Chicago in 2019 and loved it! Thank you for your coverage of BTS a wonderful group of young men!
I am 75 and have been a BTS lover since 2020. I love everything about them Song, dancing their sense of humor, their humility and mostly their down to earth personalities. They never show off a sense of superiority or a better than you attitude.

Bts has a way of healing and making people's lives better I can attest to that they have helped me through my depression in 2020 and other things that I have been through I feel liberated and so much happier then I was back then and throughout the years bts helped me and gave me a reason to love myself and my worth as well.

The Truth Untold and Epiphany by Jin are the songs that I absolutely bawled to when I started to realize that I needed to leave my husband of 24 years. Unfortunately alcoholism took over and even though it was never physical abuse, I didn't realize that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship. My 3 kids all told me to leave him but my heart didn't know how because when he was sober, he was the man I married. BTS helped me sing out loud what I was feeling. I knew I had to leave but I still loved him. Then I realized that, I needed to love myself. We are currently working on a divorce and almost being 50 yrs old, I'm starting over. My family has helped me and my kids so much, I am lucky to have them support me. BTS, BTS reactors and ARMY have made me feel stronger, feel loved and still learning to love myself more. One of my daughters, and 2 of my sisters are also into BTS with me. We have been able to bond more, experience going to a concert together too. BTS helps me everyday with their music, Runs, Lives and beautiful lyrics. They make me feel better for wanting to be better everyday. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

That song the truth untold literally saved me and helped me during a horrible break up with an ex I was with for almost 4 years and this song helped me through it all and it showed me I'm worth it and beautiful. But now I'm happier I've ever been and I'm even dating again I'm just so happy.
The flower in the story was our introduction to the Smeraldo flower. It is a myth that was created by BTS for this storyline that runs through what is known as the HYYH Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (화양연화), which translates to "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life" era. The story is a trilogy... but Jimin bright it back with The Smeraldo Garden Marching Band. With the original Smeraldo flower... it represented the truth of a love left untold until it was too late. But with SGMB in MUSE ... Jimin's band/song is supposed to be about helping people find love.

'The Truth Untold' is such a beautiful song in all aspects. This song is inspired by The Smeraldo tale that was created for the BU (BTS universe). Namjoon was one of the main writers and no wonder why is so poetic! it is also so beautifully produced ny Steve Aoki and others and the vocal line of course killed it. They way they portrayed the emotions live is incredible and touching. 💜 One of BTS' top tier songs for sure.
Hi Nesto. Thank you for reacting to this song. A little story about when I first heard this song. I went through a very devastating divorce after a 22-year relationship. A few years after my divorce, I reconnected with a person I knew from high school. Just when I thought I found love again, he passed away. Around that time is when I heard this song for the first time. I cried and cried. Although I have my daughter (she's my only child) with me, I felt so alone for the longest time. It was BTS and my daughter who pulled me out of that very dark chapter in my life. BTS found me at a time when I needed them the most. I'm happy to say that since then (almost 8 years), I'm in a much better place. I have been single since (not looking for love), learned to love myself again, traveled to many places w my daughter, obtained my bachelor's degree, master's degree is in the works, got a promotion at work and just loving life. These guys are truly amazing... they saved me!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This song, the way they sing it, is absolutely breathtaking. Truly gorgeous. The vocals, the emotions, yeah, no surprise it breaks straight into the heart. Probably the most beautiful song I have ever heard honestly. I think the first time I heard it was the moment I truly fell in love with them. Especially when V does that little cry at the end of his verse, my knees fell out from beneath me.

Hi I’m 53 I went through the same I was in bad depression once I heard them that was it , they make my day’s i now don’t take my medication all I do is listen to them or see bts run when I feel lonely or I don’t see a way out I hear there music and they bring me back to life now my 4 year old granddaughter loves them she dances and also sings their songs and knows there names she love’s Jimin and suga . They are my therapy for my heart 💜
When I first heard this song I got goosebumps. I always say this song shows up beautifully each one's special voice. I love it so much that I have it on repeat on my BTS music playlist. The lyrics relate to an Italian story about the Smeraldo Flower and the man who grew them who considered himself ugly and so wore a mask - a girl picked his flowers and he liked her but never had the confidence to tell her ...later he found she had passed away and so his love and sincerity went undelivered. The lyrics talk about concealing one’s true self and emotions and refraining from opening up to any individual. This is because one is under the impression that they will only be left alone in the end once again because of their ‘ugly’ side. So, they either think it is better to not open up at all or mask their inner struggles despite desperately wanting to unveil themselves and their true feelings. BTW spring day is the most streamed song ever on Melon witch it koreas largest music platform. the song has never left the chart since it was released 6-7 years ago it´s so crazy it is the longest running song ever.

This is simply one of the most exquisite songs ever written and performed. You don’t even need personal context to love it. But if you have ever felt that parts of you needed to be masked to fit into a setting incapable of accepting you as a whole person, this song cuts to your core. We all ache to be accepted for our authentic selves. “To shed the mask and end the play” was a line from a poem I wrote decades ago. So I have always identified with BTS and their desire to shed their Fake Love masks and be accepted for their true selves and not just their Idol personas. Then they use this tragic love story as a metaphor. How can we not love them with songs this powerful and so perfectly executed?

I found my boys in 20-20 having heard that they did an insane Radio one (UK) live lounge performance. I found it and watched and I fell in to Jimin, quite literally. As I've got to know them all and all their personalities I adore them all, all for very different reasons, but for me my bias will always be Jimin 💜 borahae💜

BTS is just something special. I have been an enthusiastic consumer of music for decades, and NO ONE has ever hit me like these boys have. I did the single mom thing too - I never did and never will give my heart away again - except to these Korean boys. I discovered them when they performed DNA on the American Music Awards in 2017 and they crashed their way into my life, thank goodness. It was the worst year of my life, as I knew my oldest daughter would succumb to her Cystic Fibrosis disease before the year was out, and it did happen that November. I don't know WHAT kind of voodoo these guys have going on, but thank goodness I found them in time to help me deal with my grief. They can still "grab my hand" and pull me out of the dark places I sometimes land in - they are amazing!!! This song is a great example - the emotions they can evoke is something special in this crazy world.

I am 71 and have been an Army since 2017. When I watch BTS videos they always put a smile on my face and make me feel happy! We all need those moments when we need to put our minds in a place of freedom and calmness and thats what they do for me. So many talented young men that deserve all the happiness they can get! I have even been to their concert in Chicago in 2019 and loved it! Thank you for your coverage of BTS a wonderful group of young men!
I am 75 and have been a BTS lover since 2020. I love everything about them Song, dancing their sense of humor, their humility and mostly their down to earth personalities. They never show off a sense of superiority or a better than you attitude.

The Truth Untold and Epiphany by Jin are the songs that I absolutely bawled to when I started to realize that I needed to leave my husband of 24 years. Unfortunately alcoholism took over and even though it was never physical abuse, I didn't realize that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship. My 3 kids all told me to leave him but my heart didn't know how because when he was sober, he was the man I married. BTS helped me sing out loud what I was feeling. I knew I had to leave but I still loved him. Then I realized that, I needed to love myself. We are currently working on a divorce and almost being 50 yrs old, I'm starting over. My family has helped me and my kids so much, I am lucky to have them support me. BTS, BTS reactors and ARMY have made me feel stronger, feel loved and still learning to love myself more. One of my daughters, and 2 of my sisters are also into BTS with me. We have been able to bond more, experience going to a concert together too. BTS helps me everyday with their music, Runs, Lives and beautiful lyrics. They make me feel better for wanting to be better everyday. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

That song the truth untold literally saved me and helped me during a horrible break up with an ex I was with for almost 4 years and this song helped me through it all and it showed me I'm worth it and beautiful. But now I'm happier I've ever been and I'm even dating again I'm just so happy.
The flower in the story was our introduction to the Smeraldo flower. It is a myth that was created by BTS for this storyline that runs through what is known as the HYYH Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (화양연화), which translates to "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life" era. The story is a trilogy... but Jimin bright it back with The Smeraldo Garden Marching Band. With the original Smeraldo flower... it represented the truth of a love left untold until it was too late. But with SGMB in MUSE ... Jimin's band/song is supposed to be about helping people find love.

'The Truth Untold' is such a beautiful song in all aspects. This song is inspired by The Smeraldo tale that was created for the BU (BTS universe). Namjoon was one of the main writers and no wonder why is so poetic! it is also so beautifully produced ny Steve Aoki and others and the vocal line of course killed it. They way they portrayed the emotions live is incredible and touching. 💜 One of BTS' top tier songs for sure.

Hi Nesto. Thank you for reacting to this song. A little story about when I first heard this song. I went through a very devastating divorce after a 22-year relationship. A few years after my divorce, I reconnected with a person I knew from high school. Just when I thought I found love again, he passed away. Around that time is when I heard this song for the first time. I cried and cried. Although I have my daughter (she's my only child) with me, I felt so alone for the longest time. It was BTS and my daughter who pulled me out of that very dark chapter in my life. BTS found me at a time when I needed them the most. I'm happy to say that since then (almost 8 years), I'm in a much better place. I have been single since (not looking for love), learned to love myself again, traveled to many places w my daughter, obtained my bachelor's degree, master's degree is in the works, got a promotion at work and just loving life. These guys are truly amazing... they saved me!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
