So up until Back Door, there was a consistent lore story through a lot of their music videos. The end bit was a part of that lore. Side Effects got a lot of hate when it came out because it was the first psytrance song in kpop and people called it noise music. I think based on the lore and lyrics, I think Side Effects is about them trying to decide to be themselves and the side effects of being pulled in so many ways by society’s expectations. But I could be very wrong lol 11:51 Woojin did leave for personal reasons but Chan has asked that Stays refer to Stray Kids as only 8 and to not mention Woojin in association with Stray Kids. So it wasn’t a very amicable split, especially since Stray Kids have actually rerecorded all of their discography from the first two years so Woojin isn’t in those songs anymore. That being said, I think it’s good to acknowledge his talents in these music videos (because he is an amazing singer) and to support his solo career just to not associate him with Stray Kids anymore. It was a really rough time for Stray Kids after Woojin left because a lot of people thought that SKZ would break up entirely without a main vocalist. (Which Side Effects was the last title track with Woojin, and Diuble Knot from Levanter was the last MV with Woojin) In response, SKZ’s next title track Levanter was mostly vocals to show off how good they were even without a main vocalist, got rid of designations like main vocalist, main dancer, etc (the only official roles in SKZ now are Leader and Dance Leader) and came out with another beautiful OST that is primarily vocals called Neverending Story. Highly recommend that one and Levanter Anyway enough of the history lesson lol. Glad you enjoyed this song and there are now more psytrance songs in kpop (like 17’s Maestro)

Hyunjin choreographed a dance video for all of us after he came back from hiatus...and um....if you think this was sexy...you may not survive Play With Fire. (the original artist even thanked Hyunjin for making his song more popular) TASTE find the fancam version with Felix, Lee Know and Hyunjin trying to kill us in triplicate.

I've been watching your reactions from the start and when Stays started suggesting that you watch Red Lights as your second SKZ video, I was like "she's gonna die. stays actually wanna kill her" lol 6:12 Felix and Chan are the only native speakers, but Han and Seungmin are also fluent (Han has more of a British accent cause he grew up in Malaysia while Seungmin has more of an American accent. He learned a lot of his English when he lived in LA as a kid). The rest of them have varying degrees of fluency and IN and Hyunjin both sound more Australian at times thanks to Chan and Felix lol 8:04 "They're not gonna kiss in a video" you definitely need to check out some of their behind the scenes stuff. Stays like to joke that they are defintely "Stray" Kids and not "Straight" Kids because of how they act (and SKZ have definitely participated in this joke a few times lol). They're extremely comfortable with each other, and in Korea, physical touch (aka skinship) is very much acceptable between men and not immediately viewed as gay like it is in America. So you'll see them cuddling, hugging, holding hands, literally forming a puppy pile, and even almost kissing each other behind the scenes. So your question of if they're together is not that far off lol. None of SKZ have come out as LGBTQ+ or dating each other, but honestly, a lot of us Stays would not be surprised if they eventually do come out. The only other group that I know of (I'm new to kpop so I could be wrong) that is as touchy and sus as SKZ is Ateez (highly recommend them as well, if you like SKZ. While not the same, they do have similar vibes and the two groups are really good friends) Also, if you want something fun and upbeat after Red Lights, I recommend checking out Surfin' or Time Out. They both are fun summer/beach vibes with super super cute m/v

11:19 I don't know if I've said it before on your videos, but to me, Stray Kids whole message/concept is to be unapologetically yourself and I think that's the biggest thing they've given me. I'm so much more confident in how I look. They (especially Changbin) have helped me gain confidence in myself and saved me from going down a very dangerous path for me. I am so glad that I found them <333 3:44 in my opinion, I think Hyunjin and Han both rock this song, especially live. They both shine so much 5:12 I'm so glad that you caught that! It was one of the first things I noticed in this choreo and it made me so excited!! And yes, they absolutely did that on purpose. A lot of their songs reference art, literature, anime/manga, etc. Like Lose My Breath, the new release, is based off of the Hans Christian Anderson version of The Little Mermaid. And FNF is very similar to Walden by Henry David Thoreau (though I think that's more of a coincidence since they both talk about missing nature) (I'm a literature nerd, just got my degree in English lol). Han has a lot of anime references in his lyrics cause he really likes watching anime and k-dramas 7:05 Yes!! They do this performance quite a bit!!
