    Great video! :) I can also only attest that Rothenburg is one of the most magical places in Germany and Europe, especially around Christmas. It's like stepping right into the illustration of an old fairy tale book. No other town that I visited, and I visited a lot throughout Europe, can compare.

    Очень люблю этот сказочный город!! Мне посчастливилось посетить 8 лет назад этот город. Осталось прекрасное впечатление. Хотелось бы ещё вернуться и побродить по его маленьким улочкам.❤❤❤

    Wonderful video. I have been to Rothenburg several times, but not for the Christmas Market. It was heartwarming to see the town once again.

      Thanks for watching. No video yet but here is my guide on the best places to stay www.bigboytravel.com/germany/rothenburg/top-ten-hotels-in-rothenburg/ Cologne is great and a center for nutcracker making but I do prefer rothenburg which can easily be combo'd with day trip to nearyby Nuremberg (Europe's largest market).

    Can anyone recommend a moderate hotel to stay in?

    • @Bigboytravel
      @Bigboytravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Janette, we made a list of our favorite hotels and for moderate pricing you'll want to look at #2 and #3 on the list. We just stayed at the new apartments at #2 a month ago which were amazing

    Can I get there by train?

    • @Bigboytravel
      @Bigboytravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely, where will you be coming from? The train schedules and bookings are available at the official website www.bahn.de/en
      It requires a couple quick transfers from Munich. We recently drove from the Munich Airport to Rothenburg which was easy but usually go by train and stay overnight. On one xmas market visit we stayed overnight for 3 nights and the last day left early, stored out bags in thr lockers of Nuremberg station, and visited that market for the day being continuing by train to Salzburg later in the evening

    How many days do you recommend to stay in Rothenburg to enjoy the Christmas Markets?

    • @Bigboytravel
      @Bigboytravel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd day I'd you've been to Rothenburg before then youd still want 2 full days with two nights hotel. If you havent been there before I would do 2.5-3 full days with 3 nights hotel. I am currently working on a suggested itineraries for Rothenburg page on our website at the moment.

    • @Bigboytravel
      @Bigboytravel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I go there often and when I took my family (who had not been there before) to the market last year we arrived on a friday mid-day and stayed until Monday morning. It was the perfect amount of time for them as they were also able to visit the various museums and be part of a couple walking tours. As we left Rothenburg that Monday morning we stored out bags at the Nuremberg train station and visited their markets for the day before continuing to Munich.

      @@Bigboytravel Hi, Thanks a lot for your suggestions I really appreciate them. Most probably I will stay for 3 nights in Rothenburg than 4 nights in Nuremberg. I am already planning for next Year's Christmas Markets because this Year I am going to visit Wroclaw Christmas Markets in Poland. I am from Malta.

    • @Bigboytravel
      @Bigboytravel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sounds like a great plan. From Nuremberg, there are a lot of other markets including Bamberg and Munich which you can take day trips to also. many people fly into Nuremberg to see it for the day before visiting Rothenberg and then when you leave you can train to Nuremberg to get the 4-hour bus to Prague. You will have a lot of options.
