Holy…! What an accomplishment. I hope the licensing bureaucrats weren’t too difficult to deal with. Here in Minnesota, USA, I would probably need to show them every receipt for every piece of metal, etc that I purchased. Then they would apply a tax to the vehicle based on that total. I went through that when I built a trailer back in 1978.
I have seen this over and over again there is still one last actual Willys dealership located right here where I live and he would call this guy out 4 the window licking idiot he is since this dealer sells body tubs.. I mean come on man

When we watched this video, my wife said "I wish my brain worked like that" I laughed and said I wish mine worked like that also. I'm always amazed by people like Jaime, people who can figure it all out and make a way for it to work. His passion and attention to detail is second to none. That patients transfers onto the trail as well, he's always willing to spot you through a tough part of the trail and help you learn what you and your rig are capable of. I can't wait to see this rig in person some day. You're a one of a kind guy, Jaime.

What a great job you did. I have a 46 2a that. I got at 18 back in 1978. I have rebuilt it twice once a frame off. I have found parts off old mail jeeps like finders. I built new floor pans and inner finders I know how much work it is . I have a 1964 corvette 327 and truck 4 speed init. You should be vary proud of the job you have done. Had the pleasure of meeting Jamie at Hot August nights 2023, what a great guy with some real talent, he was more than happy to take the time and chat with us about the build. I wish I had that skill and talent to be able to make such a great looking machine!

A small 2 seeter willys jeep/truck. Thinking its unique but after seeing a picture on the internet its not!😂 only even more rare. Greetings from Holland!
The reason I build stuff is can’t afford most stuff .. either build it or go without has been my motto all my life … do with what you have or can get … always looking for resources at a minimal cost … putting things together one thing at a time … old timers dream & collect what they can … & make it happen…

I've had a life long wish to have a Willy's Jeep ever since I saw advertisements in the back of comic books for a Jeep in a crate back in the 1970s when I was a kid. Later on I was in the army and got to play with all sorts of gear including the successor to the Willy's - the M151 1/4 ton "Mutt". I put a lot of miles on the M151 over the years in the field and on the road. In a way, I got my wish. I left the service at the time when they were replacing the M151 with the HMMV - which is no jeep.

Jamie, That is a work of art! I fought trying to rebuild a CJ2 for a couple years, and I had two old ones to work with and I STILL couldn’t finish one. I understand just how much work went into your Willy’s-clone and that you did it in less than two years is absolutely amazing! Im betting that the body parts that you fabricated are a far better fit than the stuff you can buy online. I wish you many years of enjoyment in your handmade classic!

You are a true Master Craftsman in the traditional sense who may inspire younger people in the value of reaching for their dream.
What a feat of accomplishment! My father was a combat infantryman in WWII in Leyte Philippines and he said one day he would get a chance to ride in a jeep. He always mentioned it but did not get the chance. It encourages to me to think it is still possible to ride one this coming Memorial Day coming! Great job SIr!
