If you ever have trouble with the mod 18 T case get yourself a model 20 T case. It has the big hole in the back because the 20 is a stronger case and the levers will fit the same.
Tanks a lot in the UK Has a jeep like yours only his has tracks it’s really good he is restoring it also. He has a TH-cam channel called TANKS A LOT.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I'm still trying to figure out the transfer case. 2x4x6 and the third lever does something for the front and rear simultaneously, plus separate driveshafts for each rear axle rather than tied together like a semi. Ingenious! All from one transfer case?
One shifter engages the front axle, one shifter controls high and low for the front axle and middle axle. The other shifter controls high and low for the rear-most axle.
great idea,ww2 had made a few duel axle supper jeeps. A guy in northern Ill.has the only one which was a ambulance. The referrence book pictures his super jeep one only.
…this is HUGELY exciting would REALLY like to see it perform some day where are you stationed in the US of A ? (This enquiry is from ZA’s Fairest Cape Winelands) Excellent job and project well done‼️ It should work well But listening to your story, it is fact that you put in lots of figuring and thought, physical energy and engineering creativity I am extraordinarly impressed My first Jeep was a CJ-2A obtained in 1965-66 ex Zululand in ZA and since then i remained fascinated and absolutely sold on this wonderful invention since (ex) WW II Most certainly as intriguing as you can get…👊💯 My compliments : you are doing a really great job and will follow your spoor (tracks!) with keen interest in time to come • Again: WELL DONE and thank you kindly for sharing Its a real thrill beste 👊🔥 🪖
Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm in Ohio in the US. I've wanted to build one for a long time and finally pulled the trigger on it. I will definitely be testing it out here soon!
I love it! It looks fantastic, you definitely captured the spirit of the old Willie’s style.
I would love to see what modifications were needed for the transfer case.
I'll try to make a video on it!
Look out for deer. You really need a windshield at minimum. A roll bar. Yes
You've really outdone yourself on this one! Bravo!
Thank you very much!
That thing is awesome .

very cool!
There was one back in the 1980s in one of the magazines Dirt Everyday, Truck'n, or Jeep called the armadillo!
I would build a cab and cage for it so it would be okayish in a impact

Would it be possible to put a 12 valve Cummins into a Willys
That would be alot of weight (800 plus lbs) in such a small area and lightweight vehicle.
@@BuyFixFlip so you’re saying it’s possible
@@BuyFixFlip 1000lbs for a 12V Cummins.....ooooof! Big girl
4-BT, or a R2.8 Cummins maybe... R28 is only 503pnds, 4-BT IS 794pnds
@@gregmargison1129 it would have an insane power to weight ratio though
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤝🇮🇩
