- Having given the boys $1,000 each to go out and buy second-hand dirt bikes to compete in a series of challenges with, I’d since bought mine and arrived out at the Lake Station farm with it to await the boys and what they’d all got. This was genuinely very exciting as we went to great lengths to keep secret from one another what we’d bought, there were rumours and tales floating around but that was really was it. So, enjoy our honest reactions to each other’s thousand-dollar, bargain banger dirt bikes as we see them for the first time!

I use to have a DR250S with the up side down forks.Japanese domestic model.it was a grey import into australia in 1995 $2000 i paid and it was awesome.thicker fork oil helped.

It's tempting to do something like this with my friends. I don't think you can really compare Canada to New Zealand as they're different markets and different currencies, but I've gotten a 1981 Yamaha IT 465 and a 1989 Kawasaki KDX 200 each for $1000, both in riding shape. It would be fun to see what else I could do if actually in competition with people.
