- Having proven with a drag race that there really is no replacement for displacement, it was on to the first of our many gruelling handling tests… the cross country challenge! Where us and our $1,000 dirt bikes would be taking on a two-kilometre-long harescramble course that featured everything from tight, slippery tree roots, to wide open rolling paddocks and even a vertical bank for good measure… enjoy the chaos that’s about to unfold!

I had an old DR500. It's was as heavy as a house and as tall as one too. I'm 163 pounds and 6'2 so I had a hell of a time on it in some sections but hair scrambles were a breeze on that old tank.
