QB and coach are the fall guys. Just Canales outmaneuvered Young with the front office and was able to point the finger at Young. Once Dalton gets exposed Canales will be done too.
It's not because he's too short, I don't know why people keep thinking this. Do the laws of physics break for Kyler Murray, where he's somehow the same height yet taller at the same time? Are all the Cardinals linemen short and they only play teams with short D linemen? Young isn't good because he's not a good NFL level QB, he had the worst red flag any QB prospect can have- playing very poorly under pressure. He also can't adjust for the increased speed of the NFL over college, something we never know about until a QB plays in the NFL (which is why it's a %70 bust rate for 1st round QBs).
Additionally, Russell Wilson, who’s only an inch taller than Bryce (5’11), was for a period of time an elite level quarterback and has a ring. I don’t think size for a quarterback matters until you start to get excessively short, and I would not consider 5’10 to be excessively short given the average height of a football player is 6’2. I believe size matters if the person in question doesn’t have athleticism to offset it. The two ppl compared to him in Murray and Wilson actually had good to great athleticism for their size along with wider frames. Both can scramble or run when left with no options which Bryce has shown he can’t do consistently. Not to mention his build isn’t anywhere close to those two. I hope the best for Bryce but hight is definitely a issue for nfl QBs. Especially one with no way to offset that limitation. Just like other sports exceptions are usually never the rule.
