I love to see more people travelling for weeks/months with just one backpack. There are sinks and washing machines to use when travelling, so no need to take a different outfit for every day. Of course, everyone should do as they please but you save money and don't have to carry huge suitcases, which I've always found very annoying.
I love minimalist packing. You really don't need much especially if you will be in a city and not camping. I wish my husband can do the same lol! Enjoy your asia Trip!
❤❤❤ absolutely thank you bro . I’m trying to pack for Europe Xmas market trip 6 weeks and I have the 15” laptop 2 . And same laptop . Was Great to see how much you managed to fit in and thanks for sharing product and material ideas 🙏🏽 thanks
Wow thanks so much! I've been trying to go lighter and lighter each trip, there's still some things I can get rid of I think. Pretty soon I won't be carrying a bag, just some things in my pockets!
That Bluetooth Headphone adapter is cool. I might have to get one of those. Being wireless is key for that. Your food tray wont get caught up in the wires. I love packing cubes. They are awesome. Do you just buy toiletries when you get to your destination?
Yeah I like being wireless, and you can go to the restroom and still hear the movie😂. I don't carry much toiletries, usually use what's provided or buy if needed.
I am curious about the tv entertainment bit and how that works? Would you consider doing another tech video and showing small clips of how it is set up in wherever you are? It would be useful to see - but :-) up to you. Thank you.
Wow! Liked your video. I like to buy stuff, so fanny pack and empty plane pillow stuffed with clothes. I use international adapter. Have that go to usb battery. From that go to laptop or phone, so system acts like an extension cord.
My husband & I don’t travel with laptops so we end up putting PC bags on the laptop compartment & using those as our «personal item» on the return trip. Granted this is Europe to US flights where a carryon & personal item tend to be included. That way we can buy souvenirs but are still packing carry on only. My goal tho is underseat only & I am finding less & less need to buy souvenirs.
Great video! When you travel, do you do so with the intention that this is a personal item? I am considering a similar set up. I see that a lot of airlines have a 6” height limit. It looks like your packed bag might exceed this dimension? Thanks
Thanks! Yes I use it as a personal item, but in SE Asia they allow a 7kg carry on usually, so they never measure my bag. It's a little more than 6" thick if fill it up. Usually since it looks so much smaller than most people's luggage, no one pays attention to it. But i can see issues if you're flying with Frontier in the US, it won't fit in the measuring rack I'm sure
Yes, it's considered a personal item, might be a little fat, but no one has questioned it. Right now I'm right around 7kg, so it's perfect for travel around SE Asia
@@ToddHata That's awesome! Do you wear your heaviest clothes and pack pocketable items in your pockets to reduce your total backpack weight on airport?
@@mosesfebrian i really don't have heavy clothes, usually I'll wear long pants, shoes and a button show short sleeve shirt on the plane. My bag is right around 7kg now
if its only take 18L to packing for travel infinitely, then I guess packing for winter, 0 celsius or even sub zero celsius, or all weathers overall is pretty do-able, manageable for only 1 carry on backpack.
I was in Taipei during winter and just had my light windbreaker and long sleeve icebreaker merino wool shirt. I was OK down to 10 Celcius. Any colder I could use a down jacket

Yes, its' crazy when I see people with two 26" rollers and a backpack each, why do you need to bring everything you own for a 1 week trip?
@@ToddHata I used to be like that and I just cannot understand why anymore.
Disfruta del viaje :)
You are a star of packing!
Thanks Elena!!!
Definitely agree with the quick dry clothes! Especially in SE Asia. Have a great trip 🤙
Thanks Jesse, yeah, gotta have quick dry, gave up on cotton a long time ago 👍
Thanks for this detailed breakdown of how you're able to travel so light! Love it!
Thanks a lot!

Good luck with the new direction for the channel!
Thank you!

Thanks great! I just got 15" laptop 2, will be making a video soon on what I'm traveling with on this 3 month trip to Thailand and Vietnam
Haha, cool. I have been waiting for this update. Thanks!
Nice, thanks for watching!
Your packing videos are awesome . Love how you pack so lite .Been a sub for a long while and it’s nice to see how your travel bag evolves .

This is a great video, Todd. There's definitely some items here that I need to click on to add/update to my packing list. Thank you.
Thanks Andy! Some very useful items, I keep leaving more and more out, so these are my bare essentials right now!
No camera,Todd? ;-) Fjällräven Känken is very popular all over the world!
Just the iPhone and Osmo Pocket 3 for video
Awesome video. I wish I can pack like you.
You can do it!
Is the wireless mic you recommended in the video the same one you use to film this video?
Yes it's the same one, but part of the video it turned off, I stopped for a bit then continued so it must have timed out
You are an expert for real. I enjoyed the video. Thanks
Thanks so much! I've changed some things lately and got even lighter. video coming soon!
Very useful!!
Thanks Jon👍

I just caved and bought a viral travel bag. If I knew a kanken would suffice I would've got a cute one😅😅😅😅
Oh no, that one is pretty big, definitely doesn't pass as a personal item. But it holds a lot more than the Kanken, if you need the space
Youre an inspiration! I really need to start following your lead.
Do you apply this level of efficiency to other hobbies or areas of your life?
Unfortunately yes, I try to do everything efficiently and minimalist. It's good and bad I guess
Great vid!
Thanks a lot!

OK yeah I was going to make a video showing more detail on how and why I chose everything, I could do something about the Fire Stick too
Wow! Liked your video. I like to buy stuff, so fanny pack and empty plane pillow stuffed with clothes. I use international adapter. Have that go to usb battery. From that go to laptop or phone, so system acts like an extension cord.
Thanks a lot! It's tough, I like to buy stuff too, but usually now I only buy something that I can replace that's smaller and lighter.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate It!
Thanks for the helpful video! What color is this backpack?
thanks for watching! I can't remember, I had 2 different grey colors out of the 3 sizes
the bluetooth transmitter is AWESOME. never thought of that before! would you say the sound quality is still okay on the flights?
Yeah, sounds great, and I get noise cancelling which is so much better
Does that work as a personal item or carry-on? Amazed you got all the clothes in.

Are you from Oxnard??? I grew up there
No, LA and OC, but I've been to Oxnard often
Does this hurt your back after a while? And what’s the difference between the no 2 15” vs 15”?
There's a no 2 15"?
@@ToddHata oh ok sorry I meant no 2 lol
The No 2 has a different material, leather straps on top, some other small differences, and it's more expensive
Do you have a link to your packing cubes
I think they're discontinued, they're eBags, but seems they don't hae this size anymore unfortunately
amazinggg🤩
