Great guide. I am loving this game, it hooked me. The guys who made this deserve so much credit. But the only recommendation needed. Start on easy!!! 😅😅
12:37 - so THATS how you re-access the job board and shops after you cancel out of the menu! I have been un-docking and re-docking! Also, apologies if this was mentioned in the video but there's also an emergency brake you can use and on Xbox you can activate it by pressing in the left stick, or pulling the lever in the cab just to the right of the right hand monitor. Be aware that this uses up a lot more oxygen than usual though! I've only ever had to use it twice so far, thankfully :D
Excellent guide, thank you! I came here specifically to find out if I need to eat and drink, or if it's just something to sell, and I was not disappointed =) [it's purely to trade, there is no eating and drinking mechanics]
New trucks will be a while if at all ? I watched an interview with the Devs , and they said that the truck we play in now took a year to develop as you can imagine
@@juggernaut6498 true, but in trucks there is a lot of similar points in architecture. Also they could move the beds to the back wall and use the sides where they were as storage too. But move circuit breaker panel closer to the pilot area. They have a great interior design and I would not look too much at starting from scratch, just “moving” the internal parts around a bit and offer interior color options, and interior fabric options. Like VIT interiors from Kenworth. So realistically, a player, using this interior layout, could have a system where they could mix and match the parts to move them around. Maybe one bed could be removed for extra shelf space? So when buying a truck, player can “build out” their interior by choosing colors, placement of beds and shelves etc. then it gets built for a fee. Default would be color and wall trim for interior, but pay more for “custom” arrangements.
Thanks, I was wondering what that other stuff in the back was for. I was guessing for trading. Nice guides. I like this game it reminds me of shipbreaker a little bit
@donovanmiddlebrook6937 play the story missions and it will become available hence why it wasn't shown on the video , this was for beginners !!! Hope you are enjoying the game pal and thanks for watching 👍
I absolutely love this game...once you get used to the controls especially the thrusters you'll be just fine...I almost gave up on this game cuz I couldn't figure out the controls or I kept flipping upside down somehow lol...save everytime you pick up and drop off...so if mess up you can load from there... don't give up just keep practicing and you too will love this game
any tips on how to move left and right? I overshoot the docking stations sometimes which makes it a hassle to get it lined back in XD Best way i found was looking to your left/right window, go to a full stop, turn 90 degrees and dock. But I cant figure out how to use my thruster to push the truck left/right instead of turn, forward, turn
Pretty good tour. You might have mentioned that the reason for putting stuff in a hardcase was to protect fragile items from damage in the event of a crash, but other than that you seemed to cover everything inside the cab.
I do sometimes script these types of videos , with this one I did it off the top of my head ! When I do that I do forget things , but yes , great tip !
Another quick tip which I just learned, is to turn off the suit recharge station once your suit is at full power to save even more power. Just don't forget to switch it back on after you go out on space walks!
Still loving this game though my character almost went bankrupt in there as I am playing on default difficulty. Another tip: Keep an eye on the lights beneath the monitors and if one of them is flashing orange check that screen page immediately. That way you won't miss alerts about faulty UCCs in life support or problems with the air filters. If the vision gets blurry because of life support problems it usually is too late to do anything about them.
pharmaKeuticals? xD nice beginners video brother. i didn't realize that stuff in the back was things i could sell and that the lights ate power... *-facepalm
Wish there was something to spend time on when waiting on a job. Messed up and arrived 40 minutes too early in a town. Can't rly move to another as its 1hour+ and 1 hour back. Just sitting here in an alley, chillin', getting the occasional weight in call XD
I've done those jobs yet as not unlocked that side of the tree due to restarting the game so many times , they have talked about the balancing of the game so I'm sure they are looking at that too ?
@@dylanvh9465 Just like real trucking. Cannot be early or late at many places, only on time. Perhaps like EV repairs the players could have a choice of working on their trucks like having a tool kit for… calibration of systems between stops to make things run more smoothly, maybe an extra few miles on a tank of fuel by recalibration of the fuel pumps, better climate control via calibration, clean electricity corrosion off terminals so power cells run longer, polish kit to keep truck shiny and new. Basically like chain maintenance on a motorcycle, simple yet can make a big difference in how well bike runs now and then.
One thing that a lot of people don't like is how fast systems consume batteries. By the time I was 1.5 hours into the game I'd spent 4 times as much on batteries as I had on fuel. If you start the game (or restart) in custom mode, you can turn down the power usage so they last longer and change the focus of the game to cargo hauling instead of battery changing. Keep that in mind before you get too far in since it's pretty easy to restart a game that you don't have a lot of time in. ;^) (no way to change that setting for a game in progress without restarting)
How would you use the fuel canister inside your truck? The fuel cap is outside if the truck and when I go into the airlock it says I can’t bring anything but myself when I try pressing the lever
I've been playing for a few hours now and I've been wondering what kinds of situations would be best for turning off the thrusters? Does it save fuel to keep them off?
@@CGDGAMES The only thing that seems to happen is that it cools down the thrusters. Maybe it's for if they're running hot, but not hot enough for the vents?
Hi lee hope you are well this game looks fantastic. Oh yeah just been looking on the ps5 Space trucker cago is coming to ps5 I don't know if it's the same as this game. If you know about it please let me know
Cool! Yeah the irony of it is I am an American long haul trucker…30 years and counting 😂👍 When I saw the interior I thought it was well done. The default paint job matches our “Flying J” truckstops that use the same color scheme and so the truck needed a name stamp on the exterior. I think the beds should lift up so player can use that space for storage as well. Also, would be nice to tilt open the hood to fix the engine(s), swap out good and bad parts so having a “tool kit” for that would come in handy. As for the APU, it would be designed to only work when the truck is not in motion as it draws a little engine fuel to operate. So driver/pilot would have to turn it off and on before moving. The solar system would work in motion but charge slower as a trade off. They thought a lot about adding a sense of realism/ logic to freight hauling. All they need now is a cab over version like the double bunk Kenworth K100😂 Would be nice to play it on the PS5 also.
@@adam.p98 Then truck needs a small kitchen or set of portable appliances. A boost system could be used like extra stamina if you eat this vs recharge health if you eat this. Other aspect is cost. Often times food in truckstops is really expensive but a time saver vs store foods you make into meals that cost less, but take prep time. So giving the player the ability to choose cost vs time could work. Truckstop would have preconfigured stat bonuses but cost more and no prep time. Store food could be prepped to mix and match to see what works to players advantage but cheaper by far too buy. Of course you have to balance the power draw as different appliances for different foods like sandwiches vs pizzas require sandwich grills vs oven and if you connect too many at once, something randomly shorts out in trucks power system that needs to be reset😂 So a power load balance needs to be added that can be upgraded via higher capacity inverters to easily run bigger wattage loads. So either APU runs when parked to cook with and supply power to appliances, or when parked running the whole truck at idle powered everything but uses more fuel. At this point, I half expect a log book for hours of service for when truck can be allowed to move or not. That may overwhelm the players so likely not recommended unless loads paid a whole lot more for playing inside the HOS rules to make it worth while for planning and running. So, how is time done in game? Real world 1:1 or scaled like one minute game is one second real time?
Great guide. I am loving this game, it hooked me. The guys who made this deserve so much credit. But the only recommendation needed. Start on easy!!! 😅😅
I agree , starting on easy is the way forward until you find your feet with the game !
They need to put it on ps for more support

What do the PR1-4, ST1-3, and SU1-3 mean on truck status?

turning off drive assist, thus thrusters, when going a semi-straight line helps heck alot with fuel consumption.

How do you unjam your shutter
It will unlock further on in the story buddy
Does anyone know if you can recharge power cells or do you have to buy a new one every time?
You have to buy new buddy , but you can sell your old ones !!
How do you stop the cab from losing oxygen out of nowhere?
Could be a hull breach , could be that you have lost power from the power cells , or your air filters need changing !
is there a way to recharge the battery?
No buddy , but you can sell you emptys
Truck needs onboard APU or solar charging for power cells😂
Will see what the Devs bring to the table in the future , they held a lot back from all accounts!

Currently that is not possible on console
It looks like a great game but they could of added the ability to eat and drink and sleep . Just to add to that immersion
