Wow!!.. I came to this channel to see if you had sailboats in the 60-ish foot range, because my husband and i are looking.. This exceeded my expectations.. We have been finding ourselves favoring Beneteau.. Excellent quality for the price shown on your site.. Benetau seems the route we'll go.. Just gorgeous
On a yacht this size, you don't normally have crew. If you do have crew, you could probably afford a bigger boat with better crew accommodations or you are just taking this out for the weekend and then it isn't so bad. Gets really bad in the winter though, because while they have air-conditioning, they don't have heat. We got so cold one time we came and slept on the sofas. The owners weren't too happy,, but we told them that was fine. They could fire us and drop us off at the next port and then could sail their own boat to New York. So they did. Then tried to hire another crew,, couldn't get anyone and tried hiring us back but we told them no. So that had to hire a boat moving company and paid $40,000. It was a 75' boat and had 4 cabins. 2 were unused. But I totally agree with you. If you bought this bought and wanted me to sail across the ocean and sleep in that coffin, I'd tell you where to shove the mast! This is more of a couple's boat, so they would probably put the crew in one of the unused cabins 1 skilled person and 1 semi-skilled person can run this whole boat.
They decided to install bunks and after the crew got back pain from sleeping on ropes and fenders and a toilet when one crew member throw the bucket with shait and pis on the bridge instead to tip it in the water.
Good ol taxes. Registering it in the US and then flagging it as a US ship only make sense when you are going to never have crew aboard, will never charter it, will live aboard it and you must take it out into international waters at some point and then bring it back inside the US once every 5 years.
