This boat has more cabin space than I was expecting. everything seems well put together on deck . Really well thought out organization of lines. seems real ergonomic!
@@Metal_Auditor - I suppose it all depends on how you are going to use the boat, but for long ranging cruising this boat needs more cold food storage, perhaps you do not know how difficult it can be to buy food when you are out there for long periods of time. But for day sailing and weekending this would be just fine.
@@jamiemcneil9462 maybe. I feel like I could stuff quite a bit in that freezer, but I’m also the sort of person who wouldn’t mind eating non-perishable food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated for a good many of my meals just to make sure the perishable stuff last longer. Then again, I would probably also not go out on a boat this size with more than four people, so I’d convert one of those aft cabins into an office and also stick some extra cold storage and a washer/dryer in there. Not that I am anywhere close to being able to afford such a thing.
That looks amazing, it’s clever how they have managed to get three double cabins in and still have such a spacious salon. I really like this boat. Thanks for the tour Nick, more of these please 🙏
You get so much more boat for the same money compared to a non-sailing vessel. It really makes you realize how much space and money engines take up. Thanks for the tour!
A lot of people have said already, but I love the space inside and it has great layout. All around it’s an amazing sailing boat at a great price for around 45 foot! Thanks for sharing Nick!
Still can not get over how much they can get below decks it's huge. Lovely finishes and well thought out storage.Separate shower and head for owners cabin brilliant. Thanks for another great tour Nick.
i wasn't expecting that .... that's a real comfortable yacht a nice master and two comfortable guest suites with ample storage and a nice big freezer 👍 .... thanks for sharing Nick
I certainly wasn't expecting such a spacious and frankly luxurious interior. That whole interior was gorgeous - lots of light and space, plenty of elbow room for 6 adults at the dinette, and 3 double cabins genuinely surprised me. Certainly felt like a boat you could take on fairly long cruises or even live aboard. I think a lot of other sailboats have started putting more emphasis on sheltered or all-weather second helms, and lost some space to that. This one felt that if you were sailing in wet and windy weather you'd be more exposed to the elements at the helm, but I think most sailors are fully prepared for that, and would regard the spacious accommodation and interior as more than a fair trade.
I'm looking at buying a 2014 Beneteau Oceanis 55 as a live aboard , only reason it's half the price of the smaller new versions but still all the luxury and has all the upgrades done for crossing oceans
I still looking at the Galeon 640 in the background. 😎👍 I was walking by it at the boat show and was invited on to look at around it ! It's a pocket 80" yacht.
Wow beautiful Boat Nick Sir.. Galaxy looks so open.. Love the wood work.. Classic and Sweet... White and Classic woodwork looks stunning.. and as always looking Dashing Nick Sir 😍
I would never have considered a Beneteau until seeing this review. Far more thought put into the design than I expected. The cockpit for example has a number of features I would have totally missed if you hadn't pointed them out.
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this beautiful Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 a very nice thought out sailing boat. I like the little darker wood choise in the living space again a great show from you Nick thanks again
We took delivery of our 46.1 three months ago. Pretty much this spec but with the added BBQ section on the back. So far, so good, though I would say the Davit and pulley system has not been thought out fully and occasionally the cabinetry is not the best, but it's a production boat rather than a Hallberg or a Swann. But the kids love it and it sails well, though we've not really been tested in a blow yet.
Lovely boat, lovely tour as always Nick. As you stated Beneteau didn't try to cram too much and the gorgeous, well thought out interior shows it. I would be well happy spending time onboard.
I love Beneteau designs. They have the practical builds and they make the minimalist look amazing instead of cheap or spartan like some builders do. Uncluttered, but the thought and attention to detail is always good. I disagree with liferaft placement though. The cabins are nice and cozy. Taking this boat up the fjords of Norway and around Finland or rolling through the artic away from the ice of course. Alaska and watching the orcas since you can't do that near Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar because of the resident pod of orcas attacking boats. Such a dream. Fishing for black cod, halibut, lingcod, salmon and haddock. Fish n chips. Grilled salmon. Oven baked lingcod. The best.
I don't recognise the phrase you use "hot sunny day" - maybe nautical code you seadogs use but I love the yacht especially the seahorse figurines by the beds; I'd DEFINITELY keep those xD
Indeed a superb piece of art. They manage perfect the spaces. Pffffuuuuiiii, as i have seen, this boat can take you and another five people around the world just like that ... all you need it.s wind and suplies. Nice tour Nick, as allways. Thankyou ! Pretty wild that this yacht costs the same as a Hallberg-Rassy 40C. Yet I’ll still have the Hallberg-Rassy still. But the Beneteau has some nice ideas!

Yes I agree the back 2 cabins are not as crowded as most sailboats. I would prefer the starboard side aft as the main cabin.
@@laurirobinson8346 I agree! Out of the two forward cabins I secretly picked the starboard one. Something about it looked more comfortable.
