Thanks for the video man. I picked up a generator for $50 that they said the governor was bad. Cracked the case after ordering a new one, put the new one in and it did the same thing. I'll try this adjustment tomorrow! Fingers crossed
I have the same model, used it for the first time. WHen there's no load the my voltage is 123-124. but adding load the voltage will quickly drop, around 250Watts it drops to around 110. Using a 1100 Watt leaf blower (draws 1100 on my ac outlet), on the generator it would drop to 90V. Should i make the same adjustments or there's something else i should be looking at?
The governor controls the throttle. With the generator you have to keep frequency of the voltage as close to 60hz as possible. Depending on the electrical load the governor adjust the throttle basically. Yeah they aren't the Cadillac of generators but for the price and availability at the time plus the sale home depot had on it....it still seems like a good deal to me. Mine has worked fine but its rarely used.

May i know how did the gavernor function and why did the shaft connect to the crabkshaft
