Outside of sci-fi, in the real world.....this has pretty much happened already. DARPA made an AI unit that would act as an advanced detection system for ground troops. Then, they challenged a few USMC grunts to start from 100 yards away and touch it without being detected. As soon as they said "go", 2 marines begand somersaulting the entire 100 yard length and tagged the unit, beating the challenge. After that, the marines started getting really creative.
@DARKANGEL20PR the 3 real stand out methods the marines used were cartwheeling/somersaulting the full distance, grabbing fallen branches from a nearby pine and "walking like a tree", and the best - going full MGS with an empty cardboard box....the marines could be heard giggling inside as they walked up and tagged it.
Reminds me when a company building Combat robots had their AI watch a bunch of Marines... learned how to identify humans... then had the Marines try and sneak up on it and touch it. The one that strapped branches to himself and "moved as much like a tree as he could" is my favorite.
Comedy gold. The "rubber chicken" and "essentially disabled with a face pack", I snorted coffee out my nose! And the cherry on top, art piece entitled, "Error 404". So many pop culture references, and the international flavours, the author showed quite the well-rounded and eclectic grasp of what makes humans 'human'. I've added it to my 'Watch Again' list, fo' sho.
This one had me crying with laughter. I can imagine our military doing stuff like this and coming up with other crazy stuff just for amusement. Great story.😊
"But the tensile strength of our war robots...how could he tear off the K9000 arm" "You see, Lance Corporal Abe bet his last can of Zyn with Gunny Espera that he wouldn't slam a six pack of Rip-Its and tear down a clanker barehanded, and Espera simply said "Aight, bet"....this is the result. Please open a channel with Abe, Espera is waiting for his Zyn"
Now follow up with Marines in combat battle armor fighting the robots. "We surrender!!! Just stop making giant guns!!!" You know, the accidental conquerors.
Dr Kelly Patel and her ".... particular form of politeness that suggested someone was about to regret their life choices...." 😅😅😅😅😅😅 That was my mother when I was a child! I knew EXACTLY what that paticular politenes meant then, and I know EXACTLY what the implication of that is here in the start of this story, LOL!!
This is the kind of writing I'm looking for! This writer is a professional at parody in the most intelligent way. I'm actually going to go back and listen to it again😮
16:53 and this is how the Contingency (in stellaris) was born, not with enslaved sapient AI or robotic uprisings, not with Gestalt Consciousness taking over the administrative and military duties of their creators cradle world, not by digitizing all organic life into a single coalesced mass of hivemind intelligence, but because they had an existential crisis when they realized they could never win against billions of years of evolution. edit: ngl i almost feel bad for the developers of their combat AI, since their entire empires economy likely hinges on the exports of these robots to their allies in the galactic community. now that humans made them look like a joke they inadvertently crushed their economy, which was bound to happen when your entire economy is balancing on literally one export product. kind of like russia right now. theyre lucky that this is the result of human creativity, because human boredom creates galaxy ending doomsday weapons.
Great variation on a very old story. The phrasing and sarcasm are perfect. I've read and heard dozens of stories like this, but this one is the best. Good book, "The Mouse That Roared", about how the US was conquered. Similar to the US Revolutionary War with stalking, attacking, and disappearing into the woods against proper lines of well trained soldiers in bright red coats that nothing could camouflage. ICYMI, British wore the bright red coats since red was the cheapest color dye available and no European army used camouflage.
…worried they had left the quantum stove on… A proper quantum stove will be in a superposition of “off” and “on” regardless. You have fallen into the annoying habit of throwing the word “quantum” in whenever you can’t think of anything interesting to say. Story downvoted. Do this again and you earn a slot in my “do not recommend” list.
We do not live on a death world no matter how much some might wish we did “ for what ever reason that may be” And also 90% of people especially in the west like the states have never suffered more then a stubbed toe.
" Some may call it stubborn, we call it Tuesday" Is about the most matter of fact instructor saying I can imagine

Iirc one took a bunch of branches and started cosplaying as a small tree and another pulled Metal Gear shenanigans with a cardboard box
Need more info of what they do
@@DARKANGEL20PR One of them just started doing cartwheels
Military: We developed this cool super advanced AI detection unit.
Marines: Cool I'm going to beat it with a cardboard box and a silly dance

Best line ever, they’re not supposed to be able to do that with a rubber chicken.
*supposed to do that, which makes it even funnier as your human brain runs wild with all the silly possibilities XD
Closely followed by "..playing Calvin Ball with brass knuckles." 🤣
First: I love the idea of tactical geography. Second: Someone left grunts unsupervised? On purpose?
HA I killed the commander :D
D: YOU WHAT!?
Reminds me when a company building Combat robots had their AI watch a bunch of Marines... learned how to identify humans... then had the Marines try and sneak up on it and touch it.

"Calvin Ball only with brass knunckles"
made me smile with ruthless glee.
And they didn't even use the secret invisible fourth base while hopping on one foot. 😂
This one had me crying with laughter. I can imagine our military doing stuff like this and coming up with other crazy stuff just for amusement. Great story.😊
Caffeinated squirrels and cats discovering energy drinks had me rolling 😂 😂

That would definitely happen 😂
Legend says the AK unit is still there 47 thousand years later still meditating on it's own breakdown of logic circuits.
Now follow up with Marines in combat battle armor fighting the robots. "We surrender!!! Just stop making giant guns!!!" You know, the accidental conquerors.
😮😮😮😮😮😮😅😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😮
In stead of "Humans where here" it should have be "Kilroy was here"
Shades of WWI or WWII?
Dr Kelly Patel and her ".... particular form of politeness that suggested someone was about to regret their life choices...."

of ALL the sci-fi stories i have heard on YT this has to be THE funniest i have heard awesome job with the writing.
A+ Calvin Ball reference
where where these soldiers during skynet?
"humans are incorrect. physic objects should not move this way" had me dying xD
Playing Calvin Ball with brass knuckles. Hobbs and I are having a sandwich and loving the writing.
The Fat Electrician had a video on a group of AI harbors and a bunch of Marines and what the Marines did to them.
Is this a 'Hidden Chapter' of The Hitchhikers Guide?
These are just baseline humans too. Imagine when they start sending in the gene edited super soldiers.
Didn't captain kirk have a habit of destroying machines?

Nice reference to The Andromeda Strain. Error 404
Even worse. It's a reference to a common computer error.

I can totally picture one of the robots having an existential crisis. Especially after the caffeinated squirrels comment.
Cats who discovered energy drinks , made me cry - laugh and almost run off the road .
" we call it Tuesday" : D
Yeah. 😅
And, "Oh, it's something we came up with during drunk movie night".
Very Terry Pratchett😂
Excellent thank you
Zackry what I thought. 😉
Nice to know somebody else is familiar with his sublime canon.
(One day I hope to re-visit those wonderful books.)
Dr. Patel went to the Jean Luc Picard school of command.
Tugs shirt into place then proceeded to layth the Smacketh down on some alien assholes.
Really fun, loved it. I really had hope to hear about the rubber chicken, but very fun anyway.🤪😝🙃🥴😵🤤
"Pulling a Straya" xD
Absolutely LOVED it!!!
Best line ever, I swear, no one’s supposed to be able to pull that off with a garden gnome.
Playing Calvin ball with Brass Knuckles XD lol. Never thought i see a Calvin and Hobbs Reference.
man who is the crazy genius writing these things XD
I liked this, highly amusing 😂
Same thing happened with Windows 95... And after.
Did not think it was possible for an adult to play Calvin Ball. You have to think like an 8 year old.
This make me laugh . good and funny story .
Not even a keep off the grass sign. 😂😂😂😂
When your AI has an existential crisis and asks for a job change just give up 😂
If only Malevelon Creek were this easy
Hey macarena😂
Durian smoothie? does anyone else know what Durian fruit smell like?
Yes, I do, And I do not understand how anyone can eat them. Gakk. But I'm also one of those people who won't eat cilantro. Tastes like soap. Gakk.
When humans ducked around so hard they made robots achieve sapience only for them to say hell naw and off themselves.
They should be glad 3d maneuver gear isnt real
Play at .75 speed
Sounds like guy who i forget read darth plaguise
Calvin Ball! ROFLOL
9:51 Theological patterns .... oh no it spread the the AI titles XD
Ironic that the AI narrator also doesn't know what it's doing.
Quantum based decision mattresses?
Such a pity there's no smooth, natural flow to the narration. Get a human to read this to your AI, then let it try again.
I need cat videos instead of logic right now xD

Are you sure? Our conditions seem pretty rare. One creatures death conditions is another creatures Eden
ROFLMAO!!🤣🤣😂😂
This is some really stupid shit!
To look at a survival situation and say: Hold my beer....... yup, thats what it means to be human....
Now imagine if they added some pro wrestling moves. I can see a power bomb or a 619 being used. Maybe a robot begging for mercy while in a ankle lock.
How the clones should've defeated the Droid army
Liked the humor makes the story more enjoyable.
