13:17-13:44-One of the reason''s why a lot of movies bombed. Director's were arrogant enough to think they could adapt something without referencing source material. Marvel, Disney, Amazon prime and now apparently anime as well.
Akira Toriyama actually wanted a live-action blockbuster extravaganza of Dragon Ball starring Jackie Chan as Son Goku, because Toriyama can't see anyone playing that role except Chan. The only possible opportunities to actually make that happen is by making both Dragon Ball: Piccolo Jr. Saga (1988-1989) and Dragon Ball GT (1996-1997) live-action instead of animated where Son Goku is old enough to be portrayed by Chan. One thing you don't mention here is the writers' strike - the entire reason Dragonball Evolution exists. The screenplay had been on the shelf for years and then dusted off when the writers' strike hit because the movie studios needed existing content to shoot. I really appreciate that! 🙌🏻 it means a lot
its so bad its fun
I don't see how you can like the game when it's just Shin Budokai with worse graphics.
That’s why I like the game because it’s Shin Budokai lol
@@dillynsden But there already is a Shin Budokai with better graphics and better gameplay.
I know lol I like all 3 games
@@dillynsden Fair enough, bro.
If I had to pick just one, it’s SB 2
Please review the Koreon knock offs great video!
Great idea! Will do 🙌🏻
Heck, this lame ass DB evolution can either be a backstory for a universe 2 or Universe 6 version of Goku on a destroyed earth though this evo movie sort of be a lame version of Dragon Boy's Tantong saga. But hey Dragon Boy's tale could grace Universe 1 above this DB Evo, this DB Evo can even be a one of Pan's dream sequence stories in DB GT
Omg I actually love this. Why not multiverse? There kinda already is because of the multiple Trunks storylines. But making Dragon Boy cannon would be everything!
@@dillynsden well DB Evo got all ingredients of the Tantong saga in Dragon Boy.... Just change the character names and movie title, it can then be incorporated into one of those DB universes that has no saiyajins. It will even be a bit interesting by then for that Time.... Not to be associated to the multiverse because the old DB movies from Asia, in the 80's are way better than Evo plotwise even if they are all looking like muppets doing old Jacky Chan Kung Fu comedy movies
i tried to see it back in the day, it was just another american movie to me, nothing special tbh, def not deserving the hate though
Honestly, it's just a lot of fun! It's really too bad they messed up so much of the adaptation and made so many fans mad. But what they won't admit is that they did get quite a few things right!
@@dillynsden honestly it's true they did a lot of good things with the movie, and i agree with what you said about doing another movie, it's wouldn't have been such a bomb otherwise, but things happen so yeah
and it did have good ideas
I agree! What were the ideas you liked?
@@dillynsden I like the capsules. I like Yamacha I like the idea since its live action it needed to be more grounded in reality. they tried to have humor in there too. I like the different outfit for Goku.
@@dillynsden If they cared this couldve been great. they also cheaped out on the budget.
@Renowildfire1 Yeah! I appreciated that they didn’t take this too seriously and Goku’s costume is awesome
I agree. The fact this didn’t have at least a $100 mil budget is so weird. They should have went all in and tried to make it an epic
Dragon ball super is not a reboot
Is “reinvigorated” a better word for you?
@@dillynsden Honestly, I am not sure what to call Super: a reboot should start from the beginning and Super clearly doesn't do that; it is also not a continuation of Z since it takes place between 2 episodes of Z
@martinbabich1920 Yeah that’s true! Honestly to me, Super was like a brand new Dragon Ball show (not counting Kai) that reinvigorated the franchise that started at its own Episode 1 so I labeled it as reboot but really it’s a more of a spinoff huh?
@@dillynsden I guess
Cool
DBE Total Gross: "yes"
Why do you say "simular"? It's similar, dude.
Who cares ! 😂
@Leolotus4 me lol
Why lol
@Leolotus4 because the pronunciation grates on my brain
@ Don’t worry, your brain will survive-might even grow from the challenge! 😘🤪
I'mma own my Dislike here and give some advice. Cut your pauses, and don't hit the bong before recording
Thanks for the advice! Do you make videos?
It’s a franchise that should STAY in animation medium .
They don’t have to worry about restrictions with costumes and face looks alike!
Or the technical aspects or money on graphics and animations
I agree! What’s your thoughts on Hollywood trying to adapt DB as an animated film? Hypothetically of course. I think it’s the better route than live action but then again seems redundant when DB is already animated
