    A lot of people seem to be looking for automatic significance (easy)... from my experience from just living, now looking more seriously at astrology.. significance takes a lot of work, perseverance and integrity (hard). I appreciate your real life examples to chart situations! Totally inspired to learn more, Thank you.

    These videos are so precious.I hope there are many more to come.So, what I am confused about here ( and perhaps you'll explain it in some later videos but - how does planet act exactly when it is combusted by the sun or close to a sun? Does it react as an enemy? And how does mars behave when it's 'sleeping' in a moon sign nect to the moon? Does it mean the person is lacking the force (will power) to get their needs fulfilled ?

      IN Parashara astrology the relationships of planets are the most important thing just as in our lives as humans relationships are critical. Its sad that every astrology likes to say they do parashara astrology but they don't use Lajjitaadi avashtas which use the principles of relationships. No astrologer who does not use Lajjitaadi Avasthas is doing true Parashara astrology.

    This idea of the moon standing for change and adaptation is such an interesting one... In a primitive or survival state the virtues are quite clear... but in a modern society the balance breaks down. Does someone living in a genocidal society want a strong moon or a weak one? Is adaptation to atrocities a good thing? It seems that determination, morality and defiance are not lunar qualities. A strong moon is this quite dangerous in a bad environment... unless we say that another aspect of the moon's energies comes to the rescue.

    Great video, thanks a lot Ernst!
    A couple of questions if I may. Are aspects as significant as planet's actual presence in rasi? And another one: how do we judge parivarthanas? I have Shani and Rahu in Mesha, Buddha is in Vrishchika , but Mangala is in Makara, which is quite black and white. Both Mangala's rasis are afflicted, but Mangala himself feels quite good in Makara. And they exchange rasis with Saturn. Someone said that in Vedic astrology nothing cancels out anything. So, debilitation of a planet is never cancelled out by nicha banga. Nicha banga adds something good to something bad. Just like yogurt is sour, honey is sweet. Mixing them together will not eliminate either taste, both will be present. What do you think?

    Oh no, correct - Venus with Sun and Saturn, but what looks bad saved a more undesirable effect of Venus (Venus in 10th cusp, but 11th Cap - while Sun combust Saturn in Sagittarius 10th).

    This is kinda strange but my brothers have Aries Saturn and they refuse to believe in astrology, I have Jupiter Scorpio and I often keep coming back to astrology until I wish to get a break from self-efforts. Their Mars was in Aquarius so I guess that creates a whole new dynamic; of cource it does; took me a while to realize, nvm.

He has a pretty adequate salary, awesome health insurance, and a very secure retirement plan. He keeps working despite his advancing age bc he likes his routine and the ppl he has on his route. He is retrograde in pisces.

    Every planet is referred to as male by you. Drives me crazy. Maybe you should drop the word trash from these videos when referring to people's sign etc. don't like it but I love and appreciate your insights and knowledge.

    • @nilasus9149
      @nilasus9149 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      He refers to planets as male because in vedic astrology and vedic culture the gods or manifestations of god are made primarily of male energy and their powers flow through the agent of female deities. This is a way to show the dual nature of energy. Male energy is creative, female energy is receptive and since planets are consciousness, they are male creators. The same is true about the Moon and Nakshatras, the wives of the Moon. In a natal chart the moon represents female energy, but as a planet is a male deity. Since humans have 2 genders, both of them get half of each energy.

    • @kayisess
      @kayisess 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The planet Earth is considered as female and mother of all earthly beings in Vedic astrology. It is believed that female energy is motherly and protective energy so it can never harm anyone. On the other hand, all the male planets can cause negative effects which a female energy was never imagined to do. About creative and receptive, its not like that. It is said that Shiv without Shakti is nothing but a corpse.

    So generally what I've learned about planetary friendships is different from some of the friend, neutral, enemy guidelines you've outlined here. For instance, in Ryan Kurczak's books (and other sources) it lists saturn's friends as mercury and venus, neutral is jupiter, and enemies are sun, moon, and mars. Are you pulling from a different body of information (such as Parashara vs Jaimini or something)?

    • @ErnstWilhelm
      @ErnstWilhelm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ryan is using the same thing as I am. What specifically did you find different?

    • @RebeccaMahony
      @RebeccaMahony 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ernst Wilhelm, I’m looking at his Art and Science of Vedic Astrology book vol 1 on page 52. He has a chart. I wish I could send you a picture. I think he said mercury was a neutral for the sun (but I think yours said mercury would be friends with the sun), his chart said moon had no enemies (but in your video you listed Saturn, Mercury, Venus as enemies). There were several other differences. So I’m just trying to check. :)

    • @ErnstWilhelm
      @ErnstWilhelm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct Moon has no enemies, but Moon is enemy to Saturn mercury and venus, not other way around. VIc DiCara does it the other way around, but not me and Ryan. I said the Sun is a friend to mercury, but mercury is not a friend back, he is neutral back. So relationships are not mutual, mercury is a friend to moon, moon is an enemy to mercury for instance.

    • @RebeccaMahony
      @RebeccaMahony 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ernst Wilhelm oh, I see! Thank you for the explanation. :) I’m so excited you’re teaching about this topic. I’ve gone back and forth for about a year trying to understand if I should use the tropical or sidereal zodiac. And part of my issue is my friend from Gujarat said that the sidereal rasis have a different meaning (some of the same but also other implications). It seems maybe that’s because it’s blended with different nakshatras’ meanings. But I feel like this is one of the pieces that’s helping me come to terms with the idea that I could use the tropical zodiac with the sidereal nakshatras. So thank you for sharing. :)

    • @ErnstWilhelm
      @ErnstWilhelm  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You got some things mixed up. Jupiter is hurt in venus sign because venus is an enemy TO Jupiter. Venus is okay in Jupiter sign because Jupiter is neutral to Venus. Venus is Neutral or friend to everyone, he is not an enemy to any other planet.

  • @reanimator9
    @reanimator9 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So is mars hurt for being in aquarius ?

    • @ErnstWilhelm
