Great job, there is usually a sweet spot between speed and bow attitude that works best for wave size and spacing. I fish out of a Procraft 185 and a little too slow and it’s a wet ride, a little too fast and it’s too rough but there is a sweet spot where I can get the speed and bow attitude just right and it’s a smooth (relatively speaking) dry ride. Also for me, I prefer hand throttle over hotfoot in rough water, probably not a popular opinion but I find it easier to control when it’s rough.

@@dillonroth8415 try to learn to drive in inclement weather a little better. My '87 350v handled that water at 35-40 mph. I only slowed down when turning towards the launch. Gotta keep that nose up and the boat ON TOP of the waves. I learned on the Great Lakes. St. Clair and Erie are the worst! St. Clair doesn't need bad weather to get gnarly, it can be just as bad on sunny weekends in the summer with little wind. Known for separating top caps off of inferior designed boats.

We had stuff like this on 4/1/23 on Lake Hartwell, SC, and we took some waves over the bow. Not sure if it was this bad but stil extremely rough

One thing I noticed, boat not jarring on landing,but was soft. Well built boat it seems. What brand is it? I could not make it out.

Turn the bilge pump on and try to not take anymore waves

I didn't take as many over the bow and didn't get nearly as wet but, then again, a Bass Cat is a wet ride in bad weather.
@@DatGuy960 hard to tell in the video but my bow is all the way up, this boat is only a 19’1” and it’s not the best when it come to big waves
