Welcome Back my friends to another boat ramp video. Today we are back at Lake Norman. The Drama was high to day for one group. Make sure to watch the entire video. #boats #Boating #boat #lakenorman #drama #fails
The blue and white I/O needs to pre prep his boat at home . The only thing I have to do when I pull up is the two rear straps and the winch . And if there is a line , I will take those off while waiting and get my bow line ready. I usually am by myself so I have a long bow line that I secure to my hitch , back down bump the brakes boat slides off then pull up slightly jump out secure boat out of way of launch ramp and go park. On a busy day a few inconsiderate people call cause a lot of delay and flaring tempers.
There are just way too many people who don't have a clue to know how to back up and launch a boat. They never think to go to some big empty parking lot to practice on how to back up the correct way when being at a boat ramp. Instead they choose to take up everyone else's time. It's that all they think about is me me me. That's all I had to say.
I read but have not tried the following method of backing a trailer. When backing a trailer grasp the wheel on the bottom instead of the top. Then steer normally.
After boating for around 50 years, it seems that boating knowledge, including trailer backing is becoming a lost art. Between being subjected this during the launching and recovery, unless you have a really great time in the boat, it’s just not worth it anymore. Especially at my age now, I just don’t have the patience. I will still try and help if I can, but a lot think they know what they’re doing and don’t appreciate the gesture, or they’re drunk.🥴
To reverse a car with a trailer attached only use your mirrors and if the trailer swings to the right .... Right hand down on the steering wheel and naturally opposite with the trailer swinging to the left .... left hand down.
@@BadBoats I've been a truck driver for 15 years. I learned to back trailers while I was growing up on Lake Norman. Now, I back 53' trailers into near impossible places. I love it.
Backing a trailer is easy once you know the secret. Put your hand at the BOTTOM of the steering wheel. If you want the back of the trailer to move left, move your hand to the left & vica versa
So why exactly did the other boat on the trailer just sit in the lot? Load and tidy everything away from the ramp. and the bozo backing up 1,0000 times? Walk over and tell the other guy to move. Some people need to NOT try to fake it until they make it.
Growing up as a kid we learned how to operate small boats, trailers, learning your way up to a larger boat & trailer; These days people with no boating experience starting out with large boats & trailers while making themselves look lost. I heard a guy ask one time at a marina if the newer boats [ which he had ] still had drainplugs but then again it does make for good videos right. lol
It would help a lot if the pick-up trucks would lower their tailgates so they could see the trailer better especially when backing an empty trailer up. Don't use your mirrors either. Turn around and look where you are going.
Spoken like a true buffoon biden voter 🤣... just another jealous "Dumb"ocrat wishing their leftist libtard looser state was as successful as the great state of Florida 😅😄
The bloke in the grey truck needs to be told to hold the bottom of the steering wheel to make the trailer go in the direction you move the wheel. He could easily have launched behind the loiterers 3 times, and chickened out each time. I'll bet he had a big red face....
I grew up launching boats & fishing alone in S. Louisiana near Lake Charles. Ya got all kinds of fishing down there but the key to good fishing is having the boat on the water. Some of these Kats are bad news & it's not a learning problem. Anyone can learn to back up ~ getting everything out of the car & in the boat isn't done while you stop all the boat traffic at the ramp! One group not only tied up the a launch but blocked other cars from going across the top of the Ramp to get to other launch slots. Bad manners or dumb? IDKnow what it is but common sense says you have your sH!T in the boat & you back in. But you can't count on much common sense out there so don't go falling in the water?
That guy with the big boat is a true ass.I don't know where u r filming at but in La. he would have a big problem blocking the ramp like he did .A BIG problem.
If your going to buy a boat, first make sure it's not to big for your vehicle. Second, go to a parking lot and learn how to back the damded thing before you try it at the ramp.
If the guy in silver truck was sober he needs to start drinking.
Once you pull out, get away from the boat launch. Prep your boat before launch, and clean up or tidy your boat away from the launch.
There should be a separate trailer test required on your driver's license, not to mention a certificate of competence for boat operation.
As well as motor homes especially pulling atrailor
Lol! Brothers and boats !😂
курица с яйцом
It’s rare to see in my area of Maryland I don’t know why ??
This silver truck is comedy gold!
The first amateur actually finally got lucky. Pure luck to get it in at all
His transmission will be wore out by the time he gets the boat in the water😂
There are some people who should just stay on dry land and NEVER buy a boat. These are the same people who will end up on a reef, sand bar or rocks.
The big boat and black truck family needs some lessons on boat ramp etiquette. Seriously!
It is amazing what you see at boat ramp.
Does not apply to them...
Junkie Jones needs to learn to how to launch his boat. They were the much bigger dung show. The small crap boat owner was clueless.
What in the world is really going on!! When u thought you seen it all at the boat ramp but apparently not this is crazy.😂😂
I have a Nortech 392 Superfish. 39 ft without joking i never took more than 3 minutes unless the ramps were over run with people!!!

This is what I call entertainment
The lesson here is to PRACTICE backing up BEFORE you get to the boat ramp !
Nothing to practice!! Super easy
@@vikings1960 you’re the reason we have boaters like this. Giving people false confidence..
Driver's education would help

I was backing my dad's boat trailer when I was 13 years old because he couldn't back it for shit.

If I had planned to get in that boat that couldn’t backup, I would change my plans. Oh my. 😎
It is funny to watching them back up but they should go a empty parking lot to practice
damn lake gonna dry up before this fool gets to the ramp.... geez
My goodness me. Someone needs to learn which way to turn the steering wheel 😂
say mojo be havin' a hard time wiff dat backin' up ! lawd lawd , need mo practive for sho !

The best boat ramp video I ever saw, was the guy that launched and took off in the boat and left the trailer and truck at the ramp.😲
I wish our ramps had them big red topped poles to mark the ramps. That would make things way easier. Except for these people.
I’m getting Peter Griffin vibes 😂
Exactly why I launch at 7:30 and retrieve by 11 when going to Blythe.
Wish they would get out of there. I want to take my boat down to the ramp and work on it.
I wonder how much money I would make if I put a sign out at the boat ramp "$20 to have a professional driver back your boat in."
You would win lottery
@@BadBoats I've been a truck driver for 15 years. I learned to back trailers while I was growing up on Lake Norman. Now, I back 53' trailers into near impossible places. I love it.
Just because you can buy a boat doesnt mean you should.
Put your hand at the bottom of your steering wheel and move your hand the way you want the trailer to go
If your 12
This video gave me major angst
I am truly amazed how many people have no freaking clue about backing up with a trailer. Unbelievable!
Backing a trailer is easy once you know the secret. Put your hand at the BOTTOM of the steering wheel. If you want the back of the trailer to move left, move your hand to the left & vica versa
i have tried to explain it many times
At 12:50; add to launch checklist, "stow anchor". ;-)
Hope plug is in

Omg some people should practice reversing a trailer in a big car park before attempting a boat ramp!
I'm more than pretty sure that that trailer isn't sized correctly for that boat.

People who block the boat ramps are the worst people on the planet! No consideration. The other family trying to back in was extremely patient.
Whenever I pulled up to the ramp, it usually took me no longer that two minutes to have my boat in the water and my truck/trailer removed.
People just need to practice and be considerate
Two minutes?? Wow. U should practice then. Too long
@@vikings1960 Well, that's because I had to do most of the work.
Ha looks like someone else needs some backing practice 😅
Dude in the silver truck needs to stick to fishing from the bank
People go buy nice expensive boats and can't even back a utility trailer.
It hurts me to see people can't back a trailer up. I get practice makes perfect but it is always the ones with boats lol.
Need a bigger parking lot! My husband drove semi and he tells me I need God and five acres to back up.
The way I saw was the big boat was there first and both ramps was empty on both sides the black guys cut him off
And the ramp next to that one was empty and much easier to get into 😂😂😂😂
I'm confused to. Unless one side is for launching and the other for loading.
amazing

Really ..,tailgate…??? Wait are you the guy with the Boat???? Lol
People there is a new item out!!! Mirrors!!
@@vikings1960 I am not the guy in the video. I have never had a problem backing up my boat and trailer since I was a truck driver.
I would not like to be near these people in the water either. New boats new drivers. They should get a ticket 🎟
Yeahh!
They just want others to know what an expensive boat they have. Most have zero idea what they're doing!!!!!!
Is this in Florida ? I enjoy your videos ! Never seen so many Gilligans in one spot !
Lake Norman NC
Spoken like a true buffoon biden voter 🤣... just another jealous "Dumb"ocrat wishing their leftist libtard looser state was as successful as the great state of Florida 😅😄
They did not block the ramp 😂.. 5-6 lanes
Why choose that ramp to begin with? He was lined up with the ramp straight behind him. 🤦♂️
Driving issue I m a skill driver it's total 1 reverse &1 fwd 🤔🤔
Wow! Question! How many times does it take for this man to back up a trailer on the boat ramp? Answer! As many times as it takes! Unbelievable! LoL 😂
A life time
@@BadBoats It certainly seems that way! LoL 😂
He should have used the empty one. Looks like he pushed in ahead of another person. Typical!!😂😂
Oops, someone forgot the Plug,
We all do it Once !!! 😅
Can't handle the level of not capable

Just drive in truck first problem solved. Omg
The joker in the white n blue had all the time in the world.
Can't back in May as well go home
This guy needs to practice backing up... Lol
Lol, lots of practice
Highly protected species
Was there a gas leak in the area? Some reason that so many non-drivers are at this ramp?
They came back because they probably forgot to put the plug in :)
I wonder how many have a boat operator listens?
Some states do not require it.
They have the boat running is that save
Sombody was taking some Extra Strength Stupid Pills 😂
I agree with other comments. There should be a test on trailers with your drivers license before you can use a trailer.
A certified test
Glad he didn’t have a dead battery an needed a jump
Finally………🤣😂🤪
Most of the people, their line of credit is much bigger then their brain.
Anyone else see the Thought Bubble over everyone's head?
"IQ87"

Why didn't they use the other ramp?
I guess pride, or I was here first syndrome

I think it is that way everywhere.
An 8 year old could back up better then that guy!!
Big boat-blue / white needs flager as they cannot see.
They really need to practice disconnecting the boat from trailer at home for 16 hrs.
so what if the blocked ,everybody is a rookie at some point in there life
People like to complicate things
Just a friendly suggestion...maybe get a tripod so ur camera is a lil more stable.
In area I film tripods are not allowed. The city considers tripods commercial productions. And a permit is required.
I didnt see a problem with throwing the bone in the water...?
If you can’t back a trailer any better then that you shouldn’t own a boat
Laughing HARD here.
Launching a boat for me and my wife is like sex. I can be in and out in under a min.
😂😂😂😂🎉
That's what she said
Boneheads at the boat ramp !
Hi, u need to zoom out more, like to see all the docks and ramps please 👍
I think there may be drugs involved how could any one be so ut of it ….
Non backer uppers
They should not own a boat
I hope he sinks the boat and truck so he wont have to do this again.
Way too much steerin, lock to lock. Needs lessons
Where is this? Everybody black!
Lake Norman nc
I swear all boat ramps are designed for failure and mishaps
Why did they have to have that ramp??? So ignorant. He was lined up better with the ramp on left. Guess just to be an a$$
That is what makes the boat ramps. A prime research area for the unknown!
Very selfish
He had it the first time
