    nice video. I own a ton of gaming mice. Ive always felt that the logitech and razer flagship mice have a better overall feel to them than all the smaller companies. Great video, very complete as usual.
    The problem with logitech is their LOD, too low and picks up far too often, compared to all the other brands that offer us the ability to change LOD, logitech does nothing, yet they just have to add an option to be able to put this LOD at least 2 mm, lamzu has made an update to increase this time before putting the mouse to sleep, which will necessarily have an impact on battery life

    • @Katze822228
      @Katze822228 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you want a higher LOD with logitech mice you can just stick something on the mouse feet so the sensor is raised slightly and then run the calibration tool. Or you could also just lift it up a bit. And I think you could also manually edit the config file and set the LOD value.
      But yeah it'd be simpler if they just added a LOD slider to the software.

    Hey men, great Video! Did you test the Logitech Mice with the dongle cable-extender adapter, by any chance? (The adapter that get shipped with the mouse, where you plug in the dongle, then it's attached to the micro USB Cable). I saw many people claiming it will cut off the 2ms difference of wireless mice, because the dongle will be near the mouse, instead of attached to the PC.
    I wonder if it might even increase lag, because the signal needs to pass trough the dongle-adapter and then trough the USB cable... would be interesting to see, if there will be a difference.

    Really interesting video. I hope I can get the EC2-C with 4K pr wireless one day, hopefully at least the GPX gets 4K soon bec I'm really not a fan of the DAV3 and Viper shapes and coating. Also is the Lamzu suitable for a forward relaxed claw grip? some people say that it's very similar to the XM1 which felt pretty bad to me bec of it's width at the rear and that the shape almost forced me to place my pinky and ring finger in the middle curvature with a curled claw grip, feels too locked in and unnatural to move the mouse properly imo.

    - Bluetooth is slow and prone to signal interferences

    Can you test motion latency between a single mouse when it's wired vs wireless? I've been saying it for years, but it's just doesn't feel the same when I flick around. It's not that I can tell there's latency or anything, it's literally just that it feels different. It's been the same thing between a few high end PC's on both AMD and Intel so I don't believe it to be a system thing. My gut just tells me that motion latency/inaccuracy is more of an issue than click latency. That being said, I'm pretty sure if I started gaming on a good wireless mouse, then I'd be used to that and probably wouldn't be able to play with a wired mouse.
    Also, what about testing the latency between high DPI and low DPI with the DAV3 at 4k Hz. According to Prosettings, Jame was playing 25.6k DPI at .03 in game sense at IEM Rio, and the only thing that makes sense for this config is to reduce motion latency.

    The only place this matters is on multiplayer. However, everybody seems to forget the polling rate of the game server. If you're incredibly lucky, you'll have a 60 Hz server, but most of them are 30 Hertz, translated, that's 17ms to a whopping 33ms. Worse that's taken into account a stable connection with no ping fluctuation whatsoever. In reality, you're lucky to see 50 ms best case scenario.
    Further, most people aren't waiting five or 10 seconds without touching their mouse and moving it around. Unless they're in the bathroom or on a cell phone call and they're going to get timed out and booted anyway for inactivity.

    Especially when I flick from one target to another in koovaks and Apex legends. It only noticeable in motion delay, click latency can't tell any difference.

    So if I understand correctly, by the time the M8 releases there should be a firmware for every CompX mcu that fixes all of these idle delay issues for Aria, Atlantis etc? Or is it only Xtrfy that has managed to fix it?

    • @hausgaming
      @hausgaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Xtrfy has a firmware engineer or subcontracts some other company to write their firmware, so it does not necessarily mean all the rest will have it fixed as well. Xtry mice so much on-board customization that they basically are forced to have a firmware engineer. BUT, I would say a fix will be here sooner rather than later!

    Random question, but does in game sens affect the game engines frame rendering latency?
    Is there a way to test this?

    • @hausgaming
      @hausgaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not, CPI affects the latency, but the differences are very minor. 1600 CPI is the one I'd recommend everyone to use though, but it doesn't make a big difference.

    • @rhyvehr
      @rhyvehr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hausgaming I'm not referring to the mouse latency,
      I mean like the games actual drawing of frames based off calculating reference point.
      I.e. does 1.0 sens go through processor faster than applying 1.73 sens of change to each frame.
      From my understanding in the source engine, the shots are actually related to the rendering of frames or something, and i feel like in apex the game feels alot better at 1.0 in game sense.
      I hope that explains what I'm wondering better, of course this is probably an advanced question for a game engineer

    Going from Model O Wireless to DAV3 (1khz) back to back in the shooting range in COD the difference is noticeable. Less latency is ALWAYS better, even just a few MS you can feel our human body is very perceptive to unnatural motion and of course a mouse and PC are a very unnatural thing for the human brain. Any additional input lag will be picked up on. If you continuously go back and forth between the mice you will go from over-shooting your targets on MOW to under-shooting targets on the DAV3 at the same DPI. It is hard to stop on a pinpoint spot with more latency. It's that simple. The same goes for Pulsar X2 it's a bit better than the MOW but still noticeably worse than the DAV3. I have even considered going back to Wired mice because of all the nonsense with these wireless mice.... you pay a huge premium to cut the cord and in the end get a worse performing product which requires charging daily at 4khz.

    • @hausgaming
      @hausgaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DAV3 Pro for example performs much better than most wired mice do these days, but yes you do pay a huge premium. Less latency is always better, but you will not notice a 1ms difference in click latency for example.
