What a fantastic example of fine engineering and craftsmanship, thank you Lionel and Talbot for giving us an inside look.
I like the fact Lionel recognizes an amazing amateur, whom he had rubbed wheels with at a race 🎉
As a German, it is quite funny to see Lionel confused af cos he doesn't understand the mumbling 😂
E.g. P. Lange is Paul Lange, the German distributor for Shimano parts
😂😂😂😂😂
That was the longest commercial I have ever watched, yet thoroughly enjoyed
Lionel is like: I have no clue what these people are talking about but I just keep nodding friendly 😂
I think that's just his personality, even when he was with the aero guys, even though it's not the case, he sort of always seems disinterested 😂 and just nods
I set this video up and showed it all to my Canyon Speedmax. He felt good seeing how everything was going back home.
32:00 : stolzer görke irgendwo in Hamburg … .
Such a good non-promotional/sponsored video. Makes me want to get a Canyon so badly! So cool to see the process and business in action.
lmao
I set this video up and showed it all to my Canyon Speedmax. He felt good seeing how everything was going back home.
Talbot: "Lionel whats your thoughts on the assembly line"
Lionel: "😐 its absolutely fascinating 😐"
😂😂
Epic series, mistakenly thought that would be a standard tour of the warehouse type thing but Lionel and Talbot deliver once again. Amazing level of support from canyon
Well, that was a fun serie! Thanks Guys for bringing us along!
1:49 C’mon Frodo. ☕️ It’s been a while.
Thanks for the great Canyon tour, all!
What a great video! Looks like a fantastic place to work. Thanks!
Been buying Canyon all my life. Best bikes ever. 7 Bikes from them so far
Absolutely loving this whole vlog series. Extra special for us Germans :-) And as many people, I am absolutely hyped to discover that you are actually coached by Frodo. Best decision, you have ever made. Looking forward to what's next! Please keep up the vlog videos. And of course we are all waiting for those vlogs where Frodo is more in it ;-)
Thank you for bringing all this video to us. Looks like a great company and an amazing experience. Time to get back in the pool and start racing again. Thank you Lionel, Talbot and Canyon.
Great timing, just ordered a Speedmax so now I know what’s happening while I wait.
Love the passion, so many pros give the impression they go through the motions and this guy looks absolutely fired up and ready to go
That was a class tour, you are so lucky! It made me want a new TT
Doo dah dah dah da, wHOO! Love the background jingle. Going to keep it in my head for the IM swim cadence.
What a fascinating episode. I love manufacturing in general, but for bikes... Coolest erector set ever! Canyon really has come so far in a decade. They make some of the most stunning designs avaklable now.
great content - many thanks for sharing. It is super interesting!
Considering getting a Canyon for my first tri bike. Definitely leaning in that direction now that I feel like I “know” the team behind the bikes. ☺️
I'm loving this video - and loving learning about Canyon - a very very clever operation, lots of marginal gains - the canteen alone rocks, but I'm definitely going to make a detour via Koblenz while on the IM Tour to spend a day testing bikes - thanks Lionel, thanks Tablot
Awesome job Talbot
and agree - looks like a great company to work for - sent the link of the video to my son, and said to him, I could see him enjoying a job at Canyon
Thanks for the series, great job
Awesome presentation of Canyon
That was excellent! Danke,
Frittziq!!!!🔥
Loved it! Thanks for making these. Love my speed max and cool to get an insight into the operations.
Cool. Lionel shakin off the jet lag now, he seems much more engaged. German excellence.
Great video Talbot, but please God show LS how to properly hold a fork......pretty please.
Great vlogs Talbot and Lionel. Really cool to see Canyon facility. Good luck Lionel in Lake Placid.
Loved the Vlog series 👍
Great series, interesting with lots of talented people. 👍👍👏👏
Great vlog series! Really enjoyed it!
Patrick Lange uses a new power meter every time he trains. 😅
Thanks for putting together the video series- just placed an order today for a Canyon.
All that factory and they are still never in stock 😳
They most be doing well than holy crap.
"just in time" inventory
Nice series!
i was so bummed that I just missed you by one day. Great that you made the trip over here :)
Let’s gooooo
that was so neat to see
Really cool BTS, nice work!!! 😎
Best vlog ever
So crazy how much resources they're willing to fire towards kona. Thanks for the extensive coverage here. This is the only warehouse tour i've ever watched, despite there being hundreds on here. Probably the last one i'll watch. Thanks for the series. Really enjoyed it.
Funny enough I ride the same saddle as lionel, went to hycys and they offered me the gebiomized saddle as well because of more distributed pressure and narrower nose. 😄 But it didnt work for me, so went back to the ism PN
A warehouse with space for 60,000 complete bikes and they still offer like 6 Speedmax a year on the US website 💀
So much about this video gave insight to how Canyons mess of a supply chain.
Love it! Cool to see the Kenya 🇰🇪 bracelet... Am Kenyan born, living in Canada 🍁
Hope the Canyon i ordered arrives soon 😌
Super!!!
Lovely
OSHA = Oh Shit, they're Here Again
😂
That is some super cool nerd stuff right there 🤓
incredible Company 👍👍
Great video but seems unbelievable when we tried ordering 2 Tri bikes and were told none in stock and no time range for them to be available
OMG I want to work at Canyon!
I am always amazed by the English-speaking/understanding proficiency of Europeans.
Lionel is taking one for the team 😂
pls more of these series
Thanks to Canyon to support athletes like Lionel!
I see beavis as the tour guide.. but I love canyon!!!
Butthead. Just needs the
curled up lip thing.
Cant believe somebody else caught that. Thought I was seeing things.
He looks a bit like the real-life version that was just on SNL.
Just the video I needed to convince my wife to let me get a new bike (N+1 baby). Thanks Lionel! :)
My Speedmax was born there!
28:30 ….okay so the tri bars will come to the aeroad (eventually) …so I will wait a little with my aeroad purchase 😂😮💨
In Germany it's actually the Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin = BAuA.
The Berufsgenossenschaft is the Union insurance.
Lionel, maybe tell them they need to improve parts availability in the states!
That’s a global issue and not just canyon.
@@rogerc23 Trek has no such issues!
@@gbilya2 well Covid shutdowns and it’s corresponding supply chain issues affected everyone. As well there was massive growth in bike sales and parts were out of stock everywhere, at least across Asia and Australia which still persists today. If you’re not seeing that in the USA then lucky you because most parts are taking 2-3 months to get where I am.
Then companies built up bike inventories and this caused other problems for some, like Trek and Canyon (who discounted a lot of bike sales to clear inventory but it did cause a financial loss for them last year).
I took this from an article in a Cycling Weekly from March.
“As reported by Bicycle Retailer last week, Trek is planning cuts in spending of 10% to "right size" the company(laying off staff) as well as a reduction in its number of product models by 40% by 2026. The measures come in what John Burke, the brand’s president, describes in a message to executives as "turbulent times in our business".
"The market is in chaos," he wrote. “
What's strapped to his side
That’s great story with direct to consumer business model. However, we consumers would go to dealers with our heads down to ask for a service.
Tbf, I want a Canyon now 😂
OSHA Occupational Safety Health Association. Nice "fanny pack" Lionel, you're the only guy that can pull it off.
😂😂. More power for Patrick Lange
Fritz :D
3:00 this is Woody Harrelson! 😀
incredible move vom Radsport Arnold in the mid 80s to Canyon factory nowadays
Oh no, you publicized Patrick Lange's secret weapon that made him even win Kona back in the day. It is to stop the bicycle every 5k and change the powermeter.
Nice track bike, $20k!!
Do they actually use Chat GPT for their storage?
Very interesting insights, but the factory has way more manual processing than I somehow imagined.
Soup to nuts custom build? In green though, has to be in green.
Such along wait for caynon tt bike. That’s why I m not choosing them. Wait time is just ridiculously long. Over 6 months.
You'd think they could have a bike available online for us to buy!
What is that company from Czech Republic? do anybody know them?
Ah so that's why bikes cost so much nowdays, we're paying for staff meals!
There is no Call. You get an Email from canyon. 🤣
Was Lionel holding back about 30 yawns?🥱
New Speedmax
2:42 google says: Occupational Safety and Health Administration
Ali very nice, but they rarely have triathlon bike, mid range for sale.
Is Lange running his own power meter operation via Ebay 😅😅😅😅😅😅
So much inventory and they won’t sell you a grizl fork 🤷🏼♂️
Curious if a bike shop reserves the right to refuse service for a Canyon bike as they do not sell through bike shops...
From my experience, LBS don't care. Had to get my Canyon Grail service because the crank came loose after 100km of riding. That's the risk with direct to consumer, miss that expertise of a bike shop assembling the bike perfectly.
They could certainly refuse, but they'd lose business.
It's odd that he says that a speedmax will be customized, but from talking to their customer service. No customization is allowed. Nothing like crank length or chainring size anyway
well now we know why these freaking bikes cost +10k lol
Tell them to re stock there Tri bikes
Looong advert
I bought 8 bikes from Canyon and every single time something was fucked up. Every time a local mechanic was needed to do major adjustment to the bike. Also very bad expiriance form Canyon Poland.
What's arround your stomach? 27:50
It's a bone growth stimulator
None of the workers are crammed into tight ratholes. They all seem to have ample room to breathe and work. Even on the line
OSHA= occupational safety and health administration
Thank you, was gong to post that.
