That first -63 brought back memories of my days with Emery, but the second landing was textbook crosswind. Nostalgic indeed. Great JT3 music. Great video.

These videos are bloody fantastic. Huge historical value offering such a rare insight into aircraft of the past. I’m so glad I came across your channel as I really miss these jets and sadly never got to see many of these types. Here I can indulge in the sound of those engines and the sights of the airline from the past. Superb!

THANKS , i decided to do so realising that it could end soon at the time , i started video from 1998 onward , 707 ended operations early 2004 , DC-8 continued till 2010 , nostalgic times and sounds , so different today , less variety nowadays as well and design mostly disappointing , just me !

@@patrickvereecke6654 totally agree with you! The variety and types of aircraft of today pale in comparison to those of the past. The sound along is less exciting than the jets of the 50s 60s and 70s. I’ve been sharing your videos across social media, you need more recognition for these videos, grow subscribers as your content provides a real connection with aviation history. 👍

@@AIRLINERVIDEOS i decided finally to do so , tribute to real pilots , the younger generations are not interested in this , to each his own , but i know what i do like !😁

I remember those days, I worked at Logan international Airport ,Boston, Massachusetts for 35 yrs. I remember when ups installed the CFM 56 engines to replace the JT 4's , i haven't seen a 707 or a DC 8 for at least 30 yrs now👋

I loaded a lot of UPS next day air on those re-engined DC-8s in the late 80s and early 90s. It was fun to stand nearby when they started up the engines for the flight out. When the burners lit off you could feel the rumble in your chest.

@@bastarddoggy 👍👏 those were the days ! Back then ups subbed out their loading to air general, air carrier support, and a few other companies 🤔 i use to repair aircraft but later switched over to repairing the loaders and ground equipment

A great piece of nostalgia. Aer Turas aircraft, while based in Ireland, spent a good deal of their time flying elsewhere, especially when cargo charter work became more difficult to find.

Loud and smoky now that's what I call good. I don't care about history of these aircraft I just like the noise in the smoke🤩

Amazing how much longer in reverse thrust to slow to 80 knots compared to today's airliners.
