2016 Mitsubishi Outlander with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Not sure what you are doing here. Just taken delivery of 2016 Outlander PHEV UK Spec and no Apple Play when you plug in iPhone. Plugging into USB in central armrest. Do you need some App on the iPhone ?

I just purchased a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander GT and it looks like the same screen as this but when I plug my Google Pixel 3A it is not even charging. Am I using the wrong type of cable?

This is not the original audio unit. The original unit not pairing with apple.
