These are legit and anybody looking for really good (for the money) these are it. Even on my crap PA roads and with things adjusted to about the mid the dampening range, they are very comfortable. I went with a stage 2 extreme sports and absolutely recommend!!!! Thanks for the extra work on these!!
I have been on Sport XXtreme for a couple years, at a reasonable ride height they are great for a street car. As I have become more serious with autocross with 200tr tires I plan on changing to the track springs soon !

Installing my Classics this weekend! I assume winter in CO is tougher than here in the Pacific NW, but the NB is my daily. Any concerns with long term wet winter exposure?
@edwardholt5264 If your local municipality salts the roads for winter, it would probably be a good idea to try to spray the shocks off a couple times per week. These shocks are coated mild steel, so there will be some rust prevention, but can be prone to mild corrosion if you live in an especially salty area. Apart from that, they should do fine!
I currently am upgraded on the bilstiens that came with the Mazdaspeed which I put on my 99. Still the ride quality is really subpar. If I will be mainly daily driving would you still recommend the vmaxx or does it really take away from comfort during daily driving.
@pheonixrising0634 The V-Maxx Classics or XXtreme Sports would probably be a little on the firm side for a Miata that mostly does daily driving duties. However, that will depend on the quality of the roads you drive on every day and your tolerance for stiffer-than-stock ride quality. For a daily driver, our Stage 1 Koni suspension package would likely be the better choice.
After adjusting my vmaxx sport ride height and valving about 50 times I ended up at nearly full soft on my 91 that’s basically all stock. I’m a bit of an old man with a shot back and I love these. In order to achieve that comfort you can’t lower the ride height very much because you’ll have next to no rear travel before you start hitting the bump stops. I think I have mine nearly an inch higher than they recommend
@@FlyinMiataVideo thank you for the response. I may bite the bullet when you restock them, I was thinking about a pair of yonakas of off market place but this video changed my mind!
@@baked9090 You are welcome! If you haven't already seen them, we do have assembly/installation instructions for these shocks on the product listings on the webstore.
Thanks for the video peeps, I'm currently running the vmaxx classics on my na and I'm happy with them but I'm looking for more adjustment. Is the springrate the only thing that you have changed or valving as well compared to the european ones?
I bought a miata with Vmaxx already installed. Seems like the helper spring is above the main coil, whereas your examples are below. Is this an issue I should fix? I know the car was really low when I bought it, so maybe this was an attempt to get it to go lower?
@MaximillionBucks The helper spring should be below the main spring - this is so that the plastic piece that goes between the two won’t catch on the top of the shock. Best practice would be to correct the spring orientation when you're able to. This was probably just an error with the original installation - they may not have read our instructions thoroughly.

which is ideal for city driving with lots of pot holes? the sport with softer damping? thanks for the informitive videos✌️
@muddrock The XXtreme Sport shocks set to their softest setting will be identical to the V-Maxx Classic shocks.

I have a daily the city is filled with pot holes rough streets and bumps which would you recommend
Will they last any taste of salt?

Do the classics come pre assembled?
@baked9090 None of the shocks we sell come pre-assembled; they all require assembly before installation.

Our V-Maxx differ from off-the-shelf ones by the following,
spring rate, spring length and IIRC bumpstop design. Valving is the same.
@@FlyinMiataVideothanks for the answer, I also see you guys sell the affected parts individually, I guess it's time for some shopping 😉.
