Interactive Car Projection Mapping Live Drawing - Holoteq (making of) at Tennis Federation 2014

For the first time in the middle east, Holoteq was the first company who implemented the new technology of car projection mapping with live drawing features that allows you to paint and draw your colorful imagination and design onto a car using the touch screen.
This technology has been applied in Qatar ExxonMobil Opening Tennis Federation 2014. All the famous tennis players joined the activity of signing and drawing on the car with a great impressive feedback about the technology.
It was also the funniest thing in the world for children who enjoyed painting their own drawings directly on the car in a way that they could add their design and colors to the car.
About the technology
We did our best to make it easy for any participant to use the technology effectively even children at the age of five, by customizing a simple interface on the screen in a way that you just need to choose your favorite color and brush then start drawing. Everything you draw is streamed immediately to the mapping system and sent to the projectors to be mapped and displayed on the car. Then, with a reset button, the current paint is saved and the canvas clears out to be ready for a new drawing process.

Perfect use of projection. Couldn't the lighting be improved to cut back on the unwanted white specular? or by perhaps using a matte colored BMW. good luck to you.

We were conditioned to the venue's design, we tried to make the glass darker though, and the car had to be like it is without a cover, otherwise covering it with matte material would've been better of course.
