...our lovely rottie Strider did the same thing in his water bowl...was just lookin at my very last photos of him today...lost him at 13 yrs exactly 4 yrs ago today...the next day i took photos of his perfect footprints in the snow...those made me cry...he was the best dog ever...had a terrible start to life ...abused & neglected by a nasty woman from 8-10 weeks 😤...then he came to us for 13 wonderful yrs...took 6 months of love to get him to not fear hands...almost broke my heart but never gave up on him...he was a great goofy lovey boy...its always worth the effort to rescue...😥🙄🐕

They seem to steal your heart with their undying loyalty and make it their own. I love watching gorgeous Bruno 🐻 as he brings me back fond memories ♥️ I've rescued many dogs over the years from the Sspca where I volunteer, and have at present a Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) who had a horrendous abusive past, but has now went on to be a Therapet bringing hope and happiness to a lot of poor folks in hospitals and homes. I'm so proud of my rescued D'Arcy 😊 Strider will be in Heaven chasing Big Toro I'm sure. Another Rescue will come to you soon I'm sure. Hugs from us in Scotland 🏴 💚 💜 🐾

Mr cat and Rottweiler play like that all the time. When the Rottweiler stops the cat races at her bites her tail then takes off . But stops if my Rottweiler is not chasing after her
This was playing no attack, i have seen this many times. Animals can recognize these differences very well. You would be surprised how well they can read our behavior. This is why i am very conscious of my behavior around animals.

I used to be scared and I still kinda am of certain dogs like pitbulls but eversince I got a jack Russell when I was like 11 my fear almost went away to the point where I started playing with my dad's extremely aggressive German Shepherd. And I realized that the German Shepard just wanted to play

Maes ears are so cute it makes you just want to kiss them! They are so adorable together! Bruno was so gentle and kind with her. They are going to tire each other out by the end of the day for sure, wishing you much happiness with the new baby (Mae) and of course, Olivia too!

No because the Rotty is a male. German Shepards are one of the dogs who know their biological place. The female will submit herself to the male eventually. It is called dominance down. This will transpire in playing or fighting. The only thing that will keep the female Shepard fighting, is to attack her pups or human family. The G.S. fully understands the laws of nature.

Absolutely love it! I’ve had Rotties for over 30 years and can’t think of a better dog. When my Rottweil heard the puppy barking in the beginning he came running over to see who was here....🤣
My G.S. alerts me when the mail & Ups/FedEx are delivered EVERY day! She cocks her head to the side when she hears mailbox open & comes over to nudge me. Her job is done!
Yeah there a cracking breed very unique in there mannerisms & stuff compared with other breeds, Our Gsd was the most affection dog you could imagine loved being around & close to people. I used to sit on the front door step & our gsd would walk over to me & sit her chin on my shoes, i still think about her and miss her she passed a just over a year ago but had a great life & lived to a great age 15 years old ! Best breed Imo but i like all sorts of breeds to including rotts, dobes, English bull terriers, & Irish terriers are some of my favs :-)
Bruno is such a good boy. They played together incredibly. Love both breeds. I have a 7 month old rescue pup whos quite possibly mixed between these two breeds
@@AllthingsRocco yea it can differ alot :D Maybe she also was a bit calmer because there is a adult dog near. They tend naturally to be a bit submissive / careful at the start before gradually building confidence. Anyway, love the dogs. Great video!

I have had 3 Rotties over the years and found that the best "fetch" toy was a traffic cone, esp if you have a hill, or a raised deck (or better yet, both). It is easy to throw but it's big and sturdy, a great way to tire out the pups before nap time. (:

How social and giving the Rottweiler is ...first overrunning the puppy a bit, giving him later a lot of space to explore and then just letting the food go to the puppy.
That "chicken" lying down position, "butterfly " as Rottie people sometimes call it, is supposedly a good sign that there is no hip dysplasia or so Rottie people tell me. So I think I'd like to see Bruno do it more.
My Rottie Bella sits and lays down with her back legs out . We call it the froggie position!.The Vet said she was double jointed with no hip dysplasia!she never out grew that puppy position & she is fine & will be fine .She is 20 months old now ,Bella the Rottie girl is the only one that ever did this position as an older Rottie! LOL:)(Shout Out from TEAM ROTTIE)
My Rottweiler Roxy drank just like Bruno. The only thing he doesn't do is try to go for a swim in that bucket. She could stuff herself in a full 5 gallon bucket of water and be just as happy as a fish in the pond. That laying like a chicken is a good thing, it means he has good hips. Take care.

Very well socialized Rottie. A lot of adult Rotts don't tolerate other dogs they weren't raised with. Most of the Rotts I've adopted wanted to fight any dog that approached them. Always wanted a Rottie pup, so I could socialize it myself to be around other dogs, but always had older rescues instead. Most people don't know that Rotties require extra effort to socialize them from pups to meet new dogs properly. You obviously do, and have done an excellent job of it.

I've never seen a cat so calm whilst being mock attacked by a pup.

When I was younger my GSD had a best friend who was a Rottweiler. They loved each other. Both are great breeds.
He was so...gentle. He didn't even really tackle her or anything. That's so cool! What sweet babies. They'll be fast friends for sure.

My dog does that but she can also jump my height she is a old English sheep dog cross with a red setter and she is almost 2 and sorry for your loss

I have your Rottweilers twin, Duke is 7.5 years old and looks just like him size, face and personality! One difference is, Bruno has been fixed!

How do your dogs react when the door bells ring? Like when the postman arrives or a friend the dogs do not know walk into the home?
