German Shepherds are thought to be the third most intelligent dod breed - with some people even ranking it's intelligence at second place. I think one reason they look funny to many people is because they are too smart. 😂 Intelligent, alert, obedient, loyal, watchful, confident, courageous - there is a reason why this dog breed is often chosen to be police dogs.
I have a German Shepherd myself, and I can confirm that they are very smart dogs. They are always eager to learn new things and are always up for a challenge. They are also very loyal and protective of their family. I'm so glad I chose a German Shepherd as my pet.
Yep. My friend is dog police (I mean he work with dogs) and they have only German Shepards. When he talks about his new pal, I'm jealous how good partner he got. Funny, brave, inteligent, curageos and loyal.
My 30yr addiction with German Shepherds has proven them to be the combination of toughest yet still most capable of being gentle dogs in the world. I currently have 2, they would fight to the end to protect me- yet are gentle enough to pick a 2-week old kitten by the scruff of it's neck to return it to mother. One tested to know 75 words, 50 hand signals - but we communicate with facial expressions. They will "go" in overdrive all day long, but rest with me for weeks after a surgery. I love all dogs, but there are none better.
My German Shepherd surprised even me one day. She was just sitting in the room and I smiled at her and she smiled straight back at me. I just burst out laughing as I wasn't expecting it. My sister breeds Spaniels and I took my dog over to see them because I knew my dog would love it. Except she jumped into the pen that the tiny pups were in, ahhh!, then walked around so slowly and gently that she ended up with 3 of the tiny pups were hanging onto the hair of her throat with their tiny teeth. I don't think that she particularly liked them doing it, but she just let them until we 'freed' her.
@@AussieFossil The smile is just the tip of the iceberg with your dog, I'm sure! A few other examples that I've experienced with more than one dog- One pup I kissed on the cheek with a friend sitting nearby, he immediately turned his head and "kissed me on the cheek"- not a typical lick but gently pressing his nose and mouth firmly on the same place on my cheek. The friend freaked as it was so cute. "He just reciprocated and mimicked you!" - it was the first time with this dog, but I wasn't surprised. A longer story that I have shared many times. With a house on a golf course in Orlando where a couple pro golfers live, it was not uncommon to see them on the driving range in the middle of afternoon. They knew me, knew my dog... off leash, always heeling. I'd often sit on a park bench nearby to watch for a few minutes and the dog would automatically lay by my side without a word spoken. The dog was trained to retrieve trash and put it in dumpsters in parks. And while rare in a nice community, one day a candy wrapper blowing across the range. The dog locked onto it, looks at me waiting for a signal to go. I politely asked the golfer I will call Ben... "Ben, can you please hold-up for just a few seconds?" He knew me, politely said "Sure, why?" I looked at the dog, just nodded... she bolted to the wrapper, ran to a trash can, put it in and returned to laying by my side without a word. (I should mention he was the only one on the range.) He just cracked-up "Oh my God! That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen!" Again, I wasn't surprised in the least. These dogs are so smart, so loyal, so willing to please. They're the best.
@@TomRolfson I work 9-5 Mon-Fri and usually fed my dog around 6 PM after taking her to the park when I got home from work. One Saturday afternoon I was relaxing inside after a big day in the garden and around 4:30 PM I was just sitting there watching TV and I thought to myself "I think I'll feed her now." She'd been lying down on her side and suddenly she got up and looked at me intently as if to say "Yeah, I agree. Now!" I've told a few people and I can tell that they don't really believe me that it happened. It was almost 2 hours before her normal feed time and I wasn't even looking at her when I thought it. Yes, it was a weekend so maybe she knew it wasn't a workday and expected something like that to happen. But I was just sitting there, didn't say anything, didn't move at all. I'm the biggest sceptic you'd ever meet and I wouldn't' believe it if someone told me my story. But, she read my mind. I'm convinced.
My friend just adopted a German Shepherd from one of his tenants who was moving out and couldn't take the dog with him (irresponsible) and I get to train him in about 2 weeks. I used to do dog fostering for Samoyeds, Huskies, Border Collies (they are too smart for me), and Australian Shepherds. I'm looking forward to the time. I've never had a GSD before although I've known several, my aunt and uncle were fond of them and had a couple.
I have 2 they are complete war beasts tough strong fast, sounds like theyre killing each other playing and wrestling, but you can put your newborn on the floor with them and they can be so gentle!! Bottom line dont mess with momma or your gonna get rag dolled by 2 100 + lb insanely strong war beasts! They will give their life in a second protecting my wife or kids!!!
I've had a GSD cross, and a full-blooded GSD - they're wonderful dogs; and they don't live long enough: our first one lived to be 19, our pure bred GSD didn't get far beyond 10: she deserved so much longer - I'll never have one again: I just can't stand the loss - but, if you're younger than I am, and think you can take it, get yourself a German Shepherd - they're the perfect dog, limited only by their relatively short lifespan.
Im so excited to experience the adventures going forward w my German Shepherd puppy of 13 weeks.. I've had different dog breeds over my lifetime, all working class.. But so far..Brook is a comedian.. I'm looking forward to the beautiful shanigans ❤
German Shepherds still scare me. I was 8 yrs old selling candy bars for my baseball team. Went to a neighbors house and asked the girls playing in the front yard if their parents were home. "I'm selling candy bars for my baseball team" One of the girls said "Sick him" One of the 2 German Shepherds leaped the fence and went after me. I ran into the street and the dog took a bite out of my right hamstring. Scarred for life!!!!!
Great video. You captured the essence of the GSD very well. I have 2 GSD's and mine haven't been that messy, but they definitely are that playful I fenced in my whole backyard and put gravel down 4 inches deep then grassed over it, it keeps most of the dirt and grime outside. I love playing with then they are this funny for sure, keep up the good work.
Germa Shepards are extreamly multifunctionals. The know how to find something, how to guard yard and home, they know how to protect person, how to be shepard. I love them, but I cannot get one (i live in small flat), but my friend have one. He's... Specific. He bark for sure, but from 2 meters and if you step closer to him, he dtep away :-D
Had a pair of German Shepherds. Never interfered with our cats. As if they didn't exist. But neighbors cats was forced to be up in trees. To foreign cats bad things happened.

My boy is number one. Bet.
German shepherd dogs are truly a wonderful gift from God
I agree, they are not only funny but also very loyal and brave 😂😘
I couldn't agree more! German Shepherds are amazing creatures.
@@MAIPM1102 I could agree more❤My Shawn always wanted a kiss goodbye, when he knew we were leaving the house. He would pout his lips❤

This video brings back happy memories of my precious boy when passed last fall at age 13.
Had many dogs all my life, but the best dog I ever have was Shawn, my German Shepherd, the best❤
The dog in the first clip: "YOU CAN'T RUN FROM MY LOVE, HUMAN!!!"
Gorgeous
Watching these German Shepherds in action is pure joy! Their antics are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. 🐾❤
They're one of the best family breeds
It's great to have a German Shepherd as a friend, they are very smart and loyal.
Love these dogs Soo smart and playful
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ahh yes, battling the offerings of one of the Sheppard's known worst enemies, the nefarious postman. Lol
they are kool but you will never have a tidy home.
Haha I laughed so hard that my mom had to come into my room and throw my phone away 🤣🤣

J'aime bien le berger allemand avec le courrier. Ainsi pas beaucoup de factures. 😂
6:15 I can relate,my Ruger does the exact thing to our vacuum(and with all his shedding we go thru this a lot)
The dog weaving through the concrete balls probably went through Agility training.

I liked the videos, but couldn't have the sound on because of the commentary ruining it.
Omg ain't no way I would listen to all that howling from two dogs they better get it together cause they would be evicted

Btw my german shepard will be named tashigi
Wondering eagle 66
why does that woman not stop the brat puppy , from annoying the big dog ??👎👎
Can do without the narration, I’m out.
God is good but I would not use his name in vain like that
great video
But you
Dont give your dogs leftovers most human food is bad or even poisonous to dogs
A great way to improve your video is to STOP talking.
why is the narrator so bad.
