very interesting i changed my clutch about 2 years ago. one problem i remember one of the driveshafts were stuck in the hub. I did get it out eventually but found myself having to change the wheel bearing in the hub also. thanks tony
Hey good to hear from you, that's unfortunate to say the least... I've been lucky with this micra it's owned by my wife so I've done all the work on it for years and years and always put anti sieze on everything... On other cars thay don't play ball I don't mess around I go straight in with a pneumatic hammer
Hi max! Great video. Currently removing the gearbox on my 2002 1.0 micra. All the bolts and mountings are definitely out, and I have seen some people talking about rusted in dowels. Unfortunately the pry bar+ big screwdriver doesnt seem to be working very well. Any suggestions, thanks again
It will come eventually, either persists with the hammer or you’ve missed a bolt or something that’s what it usually is! I hope you get it all undone ok and off 😄 they can get very very stuck on
Also I wanted to ask, to remove the engine, I planning to remove the front right hand side engine mount, an front engine mount by the radiator. Will removing them 2 mounts be enough to pull out the engine ?
Probably not, the gearbox is also connector Via the gear shifter, plus a plate that connects the rear of the gearbox to the engine block, then there is are two mounts either side, one above the gearbox and another above the timing chain section Then there is another mount on the front of the gearbox and the cross brace bar underneath the easiest thing to do is to remove the engine with the gearbox
@@maxautouk thank you. I was going to pull out the engine only an had everything disconnected. But I will now try to pull it out with the gearbox. If that's easier. Thank you
Hello I am going with what you advised an removing the engine an gearbox in one. I'm am going to remove them from the bottom of the car. I was moving 1 bracket from the bottom of the car, right at the back. There are to bolts in the bracket. The 1 bolt turns wity the rachet but will not come out ? Any ideas please ? Also the axle hub nut, the rachet turns an turns, but when I move the rachet off, the bolt hasn't moved ??
gearbox won't come off engine, all bolts removed, will being in gear make it not move off? there's gaps in certain sides but no way of wiggling it off as engine just wiggles with it
Any ideas on a stuck transmission? I've taken all the bolts out and it's as though there's an invisible bolt halfway down on the front side, I believe there might be a dowel in there but cannot get the thing off at all, any help would be appreciated (can prise it away from the engine 80% of the way round)
Some yes they get stuck, we call it a frozen dowel where its corrided in place, nothing a few screwdrivers and a hammer can't fix though That is assuming you've removed the front sway mount from the side of the bell housing....
Hello mate I'm trying to pull out the engine, trying to separate it from the gearbox. I've removed all the gearbox bolts that I can see, but it is still stuck t9 engine any tips ?

At how many kms the timing chain should be changed for this car?thanks
With regular oil changes to keep the chain from wearing out prematurely it should never need to be changed

If the bolts or just are just spinning it usually means the threads are gone and you have to drill or cut them off

Yes put it into neutral
Sometimes you just have to get a bit brutal with it they can get stuck on

What causes a stiff clutch release fork

If all the bolts are definitely out it might be stuck on a dowel - make sure the gearbox is not in gear too
@@maxautouk ok thank you. I will give it a try tomorrow
What are the dimensions of the rear main seal?
Hi there thanks for the comment, I did this job quite a while ago and I'm afraid I don't know what the size is off the top of my head sorry
Schlechte Ausleuchtung und Kameraführung , schade. Ausbau der Antriebe fehlt auch.
