  • Bleeding the clutch in a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12. If clutch fluid has been lost from the system or air has entered due to a leak, make sure the fault has been fixed before bleeding the system. If the clutch is not working properly after bleeding the system then there could be a fault with the master or slave cylinder. Also, if the clutch is being bled due to a significant fluid loss, you should also check the brake system and bleed it if necessary, as they are both supplied with fluid from the same reservoir.

    I recently asked myself what kind of strange plastic line that leads to the slave cylinder is.
    Until now I only knew rigid lines or such reinforced rubber hoses which are also connected to brake calipers.
    Thanks for your effort 👍👍

      @screwsnutsandbolts scrap yard saved the day, just unclipped one from a nissan Juke, It's a different fitting, but it's the same clip inside. It was stupidly easy 😆 I won't temp the mechanical demons, though, I'll take the win.

    Hey quick question as I'm stumped looking for answers online.
    2004 K12, clutch was replaced a while back due to wear after I bought the car, however the clutch pedal biting point has always been insanely high up, to the point I can move the clutch pedal a few cm and shift without issue.
    Anyone know what could cause this/ how to fix it and move the pedal biting point lower? I've also read micras do have a high biting point in general, but surely not this high.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

      I'm not so sure, a lot of people in online forums have mentioned the high bite point in a Micra K11 and K12 so it maybe normal for certain cars

      I had the same issue I think my clip was the reverse had to push down and pull the pipe out at the same time.
      It rested in the up position, I think there is two versions on this the one in the video and the one I had.

    Sorry for the dumb questions, but why should i bleeding the clutch? What are the symptoms that can lead to bleeding the clutch?

    • @giuseppedavi7229

      And another question, i have the diesel version what oil should i use if I need it to bleed the clutch?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Change of the pedal travel, difficulties when disengaging the clutch or the clutch pedal may feel 'spongy' when pressed.

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว

      The clutch fluid is the same whether it's a diesel or petrol engine. Is you car the same model Nissan Micra like in the video ?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว

      It should state the type of brake/clutch fluid required on the fluid reservoir cap. In this particular vehicle it's DOT 4 brake or clutch fluid.
