❤ 👍👍 I currently use a BIG FISH 120 it’s Huge, Deep hull, and I swear on everything it does NOT TIP! I can stand walk around kayak doesn’t Tio ever! My med size dog 🐕 can walk around and again does not tip or move.. Extremely Sturdy Small to med Dog 🐶 Kayak…
I’ve taken my German Shepherd out on my Bite on multiple occasions. He usually has done quite well. He has jumped out when kayaking with my wife. Good swimmer and always has his PFD on. Worst that happened so far was when fishing with me he decided he needed to bite a crank bait. Ended up with 2 hooks through his nose. A night I’ll never forget. He made it through it all.
I really like my Perception Hi Life kayak/SUP hybrid. Most versatile paddle boat ever! Two "Swim decks" allow my 100lb shepherd mix to jump on and off without (hardly ever :-) ) capsizing us. The cooler and cup holders get a good amount of use, too. We both love it.
Wish there was a video like this when I was looking 3 years ago. Great info! My old kayak was a Catch Mode 110 and was great for dogs. I added some extra deck padding up front for my pup.
I try to take my dog out at least once a year, but he's too excited about swimming. All he wants to do is jump off the nose or the back, do a couple laps around the kayak, he tries to tip me, I haul him back in. Then he shakes, and repeats the whole thing over for the whole ride. And it's a short ride because I can only haul a 65lb dog over the side so many times lol
@@thebeardedpaddler Thanks. I'm taking my kayak on the river, so I'm hoping that the Hobie cat Lynx eventually will be Thermo formed in the future... That would be my dream kayak and I would build a little nest up in front of the pedals with shade. In a perfect world... Lol. Thanks for the quick response and wishing you well!
thanks, a big help. i think the bite fits the bill but would the Yupik be even better, or is it overkill? I'm short and 70 but I have a trailer to transport it.
Please hit that like button for me! Thank you for the support

Ouch!
Glad he's ok!
Bought the SKF117 just for this reason. My dog loves it
Nice!

That's a very good option! Very much like the SKF117

The Crescent crew is perfect for solo paddler and a large dog

Ours does the same thing
Any pedal kayaks that you would recommend for a dog up front? Thanks for all the great videos and information...

I love the Yupik. Definitely not overkill.
Perfect timing! Thanks for posting!
No problem!
Thank you for watching
Great list Andy! Now imagine if the bow well of the Yupik was flat.
Yupik didn't make it due to price but had to mention at the end. It's literally the perfect dog kayak
You forgot a vibe cubera. It is a hybrid and foam filled for a huge weight capacity. Fully padded deck. I chose it for my dog 🐕 ❤️
Fun topic, great video 😊
Thank you!
