The factory chimes, turn signal, and back up sensors are a digital signal, but the Camaro dash kits have a box (looks like an LOC) that can mix the aftermarket radio RCA out with the car noises and "sum" it into a single RCA out. Ideally, I would not want to send the aftermarket HU signal through this crummy box. I would just like to use the output from this box as a separate input on the 3Sixty.3 and let the 3Sixty mix the signals.
Clean sweep is ok on basic cars that don't have digital amps, Bluetooth, or On-star. The Rockford 3sixty.3 is the ultimate for integration. You can Auto Normalize and set the crossovers ant the process will give you a flat clean sound. I will do a video on adjusting sound on the next install i do. We also have a killer 499.99 special on the part right now with free shipping in the US.
Frequency normalization- This reference input signal is used to establish a reference frequency response, which is stored in memory and used to select equalizer settings. The system restores missing spectral content by summing multiple input signals from the audio source. The system then normalizes the frequency response based on characterizations of the signal by utilizing equalizer settings from memory.
this is a great eq and processor. definitely better than the JBL ms8. we havent used the arc audio piece, but most good stereo systems can always use a nice high end eq to help tune it.
Depends on how you wire it on a GM. The factory Bluetooth and onstar works with this device. Door chime may not. I will know more once I do it on a gm looking for a will customer. Any sound that comes thru the factory amp will work with the 3.sixty.3 as soon as I can test it on a GM I will make a video. -saturn
My question is more specific to removing the factory radio. If I put in an aftermarket HU, I want to go directly from the HU to the 3Sixty.3. Looking at the vehicle schematics, OnStar is not a digital signal. The OnStar box just sends a low level signal to the factory HU, I would just covert that to an RCA and route it to the 3Sixty.3
Love the info on the 360.3, I now have oe and will install it on a Kenwood 990 deck and feeding five amps. I will need to read the book cover to cover first to understand the complex features of this unit. I had a question about to set up of the twin knob led box. Does the unit program it or does it have its own set pattern of controle? Thanks for any input on this product.
If it was me, I would use the 99-3010s camaro kit from Metra which keeps all the factory functionality and onstar. If you want to incorporate a 3.sixty.3 I would put if after the factory amp on the speaker outputs use the 6 or 8 channel high input and audio will be fine and all will mix. The Boston system is an 8 speaker system the base uses 6. What your describing sound like audio mixing not "summing". If the 3 sixty auto normalized the LOC signal it would never program right.
Depends on how much you are willing to invest on your ICE. I'm current running on a mid-end setup, P4450BT, T2s- Components, P2 Sub, PBR300x1 and PBR300x2 and a 3.Sixty.3 Processor.
Great video! How would you compare this to the "Clean Sweep?" I was hoping this would be more or less "automatic." I've tried EQing by ear and can't find settings that I find to be ideal = ( Please help!
I'm debating whether I should aim for this unit or an Arc Audio PS8 to replace my crappy MS-8 which sounds atrocious in my G37. I figure I was happy with my old Sony XDP-210EQ back in the day with my MDX-C8900 MD deck in a previous vehicle so the assumption is my Sony DSP would be in the same league as the RF rather than the Arc Audio. Would that be fair to say? It might help me justify why I should spend half and get the RF DSP instead.
Can it be used to integrate non-music channels into the system? i.e. Mix in door chimes, turn signal, and Onstar sounds that are normally routed to the factory HU.
i just receved my sound processor a coulple of days ago and finaly got the time to install it in to my car, and every thing is wired up right ive been installing systems in cars for years so i know its not a wiring error, the problem that im have is that it is not being reconized by my pc, ive tryed 2 diffrent computers and reinstalled the software twice im not exactly sure what the problme is. the unit is powering up and the indicator light around the fosgate emblem stays lit white
For some reason the FIRMWARE update will not work, software does but FIRMWARE no, are u aware of this issue? So I can't take advantage of the Bluetooth..
Damn i made a fault in my question, I actually got a 3sixty.2... Do you know what the problem could be? When I try to find it over Bluetooth my laptop won't find him.
I can't wait for that video! If you can show me how to set it up and help me out (I'm pretty tech savvy) then we have ourselves a deal =D. Can I email/call you?
i had the same problem the usb cord supplied by RF dont recognize the unit we change for another one and bingoooo, also we have a problems conecting it using the hight power input we did all adjust setting etc at moment every thing is working perfectly you save every thing close the UI unplug the usb cord the unit continuos working then you shut off the unit swith it again and unbelieble as the first time no settings no sound at moment you reconect the usb crd to the UI the system work
Great video! I just ordered a 3 sixty.3 and I have seen some horror stories of units not running 100%. Have you witnessed any truths to this. The reason I bought this unit is because the audio control DM-608 is not available yet. That is the unit I really want. Because of the stories I've read, I'm thinking about returning the unit and just sucking it up and waiting on the DM-608 as I haven't even opened it up yet. Any thoughts...??
Just curious about your workflow. You set the x-over points appropriate to the drivers. Then do you run pink noise through the system and adjust the bands for a flat curve based on the RTA feedback? What's your reference? Cheers.
i have some questions I'm thinking about getting one of these 360.3s but curious on how to install it on my car.. i have a 2000 monte carlo ss i have 8 selenium 8w4p mids and 4 st200 tweeters on each door and 1 fi btl 18 in the trunk. each door is powered by an american bass vfl 350.4 and the sub on a american bass vfl 175.1..i also have one of the 2013 pioneer flip out head units as well as a clarion 7 band eq..any help would be greatly appreciated.
Great video. I'm having problems with setting the crossovers on my 3Sixty.3. For my 2-way components I'm running active, I bandpass my 6.5" woofer from 150Hz-4000Hz using 24db/Octave Butterworth filters. Then I high-pass the tweeter from 4000Hz using the same filters. But what I notice is a HUGE amount of overlap between the two. At 4Khz the 6.5" is down 3db, while the tweeter is down (looking at the graph) about 1 or 2 db. So they are both essentially playing near 0db... that's a lot of power and overlap! And at 2Khz the 6.5" is playing at 0db but the tweeter is down about -17db. Basically, you do not make it easy to properly cross-over speakers. Using the 3Sixty.3, I have to guess based on the graph. To set this up on the 3Sixty, I would have to set the bandpass filter of the 6.5" to 150Hz-1400Hz to make the slopes SOMEWHAT equal out on the graph (where one slopes down, the other slopes up). Is there any way to have the 3Sixty.3 do this itself?? Every single passive crossover makes this easy: what is crossed over from one speaker goes to another (ie: all the highs crossed over from the woofer go to the tweeter).
I, IJCOBRA you really need an RTA to dial in the 3.sixty.3 and it does have an auto normalization mode in the set-up menu. Also if you not getting the sound correct, Check you phase on the speakers. some times crossovers are mislabeled and having a good phase check helps. especially if integrating to OEM you need a Sonic Scope to check incoming and out going phase.
if you have to ask this question, i'd recommend using the crossovers. Not using the crossovers require a certain depth of understanding about active network setups.
have you ever ran a system with only tweeters in sails and 6.5" in doors with no rear fill? I can't seem to make my ms8 happy so I'm looking for other DSPs. How does the sound stage and imaging compare?
+Delreycustoms I ended up going with the 3sixty.3 very happy with it so far. I was afraid I would be able to put the front stage together myself as well as the ms8 did when I got a decent calibration out of it. waiting on a new measurement mic to eq with. only set TA so far and it already sounds better without touching levels or eq yet. the only thing I'm trying to figure out is how much to cut the 3sixtys output to closer match the 6v max input voltage on my amp to the 8v on the 3sixty.
i am getting feedback form my bleutooth radio the guys at sound shop is telling me wil this help to get rid opf the feedback for my bleutooth radio that is what they tell me really need some help

yes it comes with the tuning disc. we recommend also putting it on your ipod in case you lose it.
hi there. the software allows you set what each knob does. primarily master volume and sub control. push in to select a new eq preset or source.

we really like pxa because it has the display. so u can do it anytime. 3sixty is great but limited to a laptopb on hand. what kind of amps do u have?
Depends on how you wire it on a GM. The factory Bluetooth and onstar works with this device. Door chime may not. I will know more once I do it on a gm looking for a will customer. looks great. wish I was in the states to stop by

definitely after the stock amplifier. i think that amp is internally cross over, so the best signal will come from the amp.

Great thanks I just picked one up. I'm waiting on some type rS n will soon install.:(
it depends on the car. what kind is it? usually after the amp, bc the signal out of the radio may be to low or not full range.
Does the 3Sixty.3 have any auto tuning abilities?
3sixty works with mac?? i mean to set it?
For some reason the FIRMWARE update will not work, software does but FIRMWARE no, are u aware of this issue? So I can't take advantage of the Bluetooth..
Damn i made a fault in my question, I actually got a 3sixty.2... Do you know what the problem could be? When I try to find it over Bluetooth my laptop won't find him.
I can't wait for that video! If you can show me how to set it up and help me out (I'm pretty tech savvy) then we have ourselves a deal =D. Can I email/call you?
does the disc come with the 3.sixty.3?
3sixty.3 only works via usb for tuning. the bluetooth is only for audio streaming
rockford had a technical recall on the usb cord on there web site
i had the same problem the usb cord supplied by RF dont recognize the unit we change for another one and bingoooo, also we have a problems conecting it using the hight power input we did all adjust setting etc at moment every thing is working perfectly you save every thing close the UI unplug the usb cord the unit continuos working then you shut off the unit swith it again and unbelieble as the first time no settings no sound at moment you reconect the usb crd to the UI the system work

try another bluetooth dongle, also reset the 3sixty.2

how do you store the presets?
It will signal sum and auto normalize. you need to tune it your self. i will give you a Flat freq response to work with. RTA is need for tuning.

Now contrary if you make a installation using RCA/Low Level Input work great
Do I hook this after the hu or after the factory amp
I need your help please... How could I down lode the software for the 3sixty.3 on to a MAC if u could help me out I would really appreciated
You should be running the Windows OS
How can i setup the knob to control the subwoofer
what can i do if my car doesnt have a cd player ?
Am I suppose to leave the amp gains as they are or set them all to zero ?
start them at zero. then up from there depending on amp and head unit set up.
+Delreycustoms ahh thank you very much
does this work with any deck and works on any amps or does it have to be fasgate amps only ?
ya this processor can work with just about any radio or stock system
Is this meade916 use to control his 4 subs wit?
ya, 360 works best with factory stereo
+Delreycustoms he has facorty in his lexus. but his tahoe dont. i always wondered how he controled his 4 subs wit knob
You can do that without a 360 as well :P, Rockford Power and Punch amps can be controlled with a PEQX3 (tripple to 1 remote), look it up.
I have got a Bluetooth dongel but the problem is, my PC doesn't find my 3Sixty.3. Can anybody help me out? Thx.
I have a 360.3 that i just bought with Rockford T2 components. Do i use the crossovers that came with the speaker's or leave them out?
if you have to ask this question, i'd recommend using the crossovers. Not using the crossovers require a certain depth of understanding about active network setups.

have you ever ran a system with only tweeters in sails and 6.5" in doors with no rear fill? I can't seem to make my ms8 happy so I'm looking for other DSPs. How does the sound stage and imaging compare?
+Cameron Smith so far we do more fosgate. ms8 had issues integrating. mosconi also offers a dsp system called the 6to8 DSP
+Delreycustoms I ended up going with the 3sixty.3 very happy with it so far.
