We created this video because the 3Sixty.3 is a PREAMP, EQUALIZER and CROSSOVER built-in to one product. Because this model can be configured in so many ways, we highly suggest having an experienced Authorized Rockford Fosgate dealer install the 3Sixty.3 for you. Find dealers near you on Rockford Fosgate's website.

Great video. I'm having problems with setting the crossovers on my 3Sixty.3. For my 2-way components I'm running active, I bandpass my 6.5" woofer from 150Hz-4000Hz using 24db/Octave Butterworth filters. Then I high-pass the tweeter from 4000Hz using the same filters. But what I notice is a HUGE amount of overlap between the two. At 4Khz the 6.5" is down 3db, while the tweeter is down (looking at the graph) about 1 or 2 db. So they are both essentially playing near 0db... that's a lot of power and overlap! And at 2Khz the 6.5" is playing at 0db but the tweeter is down about -17db. Basically, you do not make it easy to properly cross-over speakers. Using the 3Sixty.3, I have to guess based on the graph. To set this up on the 3Sixty, I would have to set the bandpass filter of the 6.5" to 150Hz-1400Hz to make the slopes SOMEWHAT equal out. And now for my 8" midbass and subwoofers....

Your better of using an RTA mic to see the overlap or underlap if any.. you probably will not see anything or hear anything using the same crossover points between the mids and highs

Does this product have any compressor functions? Such as boosting low frequencies in a certain range at lower volumes and reducing them at higher volumes. Sort of like the DSP in Bluetooth speakers. I only ask because my car's engine typically over powers bass at lower volumes.

Unfortunately no. For what you're describing, you would need an active Speed Sensitive Volume Control so the DSP actively monitors the speed sensor and makes adjustments to the volume automatically.

please respond, i would like to get something like this to control the gains for 45 hertz to 20 hertz for my sub woofers to make roll-off less noticeable. can i adjust frequency gains in increments of 1 hert?

Yes, frequency can be targeted in 1Hz increments. You can download the software and run in "demo" mode to see for yourself at rftech.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1066

When level setting my MAIN low level RCA with the 40htz, 1khz tracks i cannot reach clipping on my optical source. My optical level seems lower than main and cannot be raised without increasing the amp gains. Would the work around be to initially set levels with the optical source and then lower the levels in the UI for the mains to achieve the target gain structure?

You'll want to redo the Aftermarket Setup Wizard explained here: th-cam.com/video/ZQ-5_975U38/w-d-xo.html
The Optical Outputs on most devices should be clean, so the level may seem lower than a traditional amplified source. The 0dB tracks are the "hottest" level signals available on the CD, so that's the right track to use. Most likely, the optical signal is at the threshold of clipping. At timecode 04:00, the Input Level Setup should show all GREEN LEDs (since your optical source is not clipping) at MAX source unit output. At timecode 04:58, you'll setup the Input Attenuator Controls. You can try the AUTO RANGE calibration to see if that works, but you may need to manually adjust the settings. This will help get you back on track to optimize the gain structure.

To properly set the input stage, you'll want to start with the 0dB track since your source will not clip. However, when setting the output levels, you may try switching to the -5dB or -10dB tracks (they are recorded at lower levels) to force you to "over gain" the settings in the 3Sixty.3 versus increasing the amplifier gains. -5dB is great for SQ and -10dB is optimum for SQL.

Windows XP seriously? Let me guess, using Windows 10, I'd probably have tons of issues with getting this working.

This demonstration video was produced 4 years ago on a Mac running a virtual machine. The actual software compatibility chart for the 3Sixty.3 can be found at: rftech.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1066

Ok, Windows 7...about the same difference which means Windows 10 not supported. It's not worth the risk of issues when buying a $600 product. The largest issue is as computers move forward, products like this become useless if you don't happen to have an old laptop laying around. I wish this had manual controls and setup.

We actually had a discussion about updating this list yesterday as many customers use Windows 10 with no issues. We're just awaiting final approval from engineering to list any caveats, if any. It's best to go through the OEM or Aftermarket wizard to properly setup the level adjustments. However, once done, you can manually control everything through the interface. The 3Sixty.3 software can be downloaded FREE of charge and run in DEMO mode, so you should try it on your computer to get familiar with it.
