- Brother Muhammad Yakub Genel was once featured on OnePath Network’s Living Muslim show two years ago speaking about the virtues of Ramadan, yet today we farewell him after he passed away in his sleep last week at the young age of 18.
His death comes as a shocking reminder that death doesn’t discriminate. It does not come for a certain age group, a certain class of people, it isn’t even restricted to the sick; it simply comes unannounced and it has been guaranteed for all of humanity.

I met him at the library when we were 17 years old. (2017).
Subhanallah, at the time he told he was bullied in school and he was a really nice guy who met me with a smile and left with a smile.

Today, I am still alive, healthy and strong, and have every opportunity to do good deeds. But still I haven't do anything good. Death keeps coming to me closer and closer every single minute, every single hour and every single day.

I’m 16 turning 17, I have not prayed for maybe about 3 months (Allah please forgive me) sometimes you get wrapped up in this world and it blinds you from reality.
I am in my bed now, I was going to go to sleep but it just so happened I clicked on this video, this has really touched me and opened my eyes to reality and inshallah I’ll be better as well as be consistent🙂

No where in Islam that it says by ANY means.. "you dont have to pray to be accepted*" On the contrary, Prayer is the First thing you will be asked for on the Day of Judgement, if it was fulfilled then the rest of the deeds will be.
So instead of telling them no need to Pray! Although they clearly mentioned that they want to repent to Allah and start praying again! Terrible poor useless piece of advise. Seriously bad! May Allah forgive us all.

We die in this world and in the hereafter we are either in paradise or in hell. If we follow the path of the prophets and what Allah expects from us then we will live for ever in beautiful paradise. Otherwise we will suffer for ever in hell (or just a certain time - depends on your religion)

My father died in his sleep on new years eve...When we woke up on the 1st January I called him but no answer,I kept feeling odd...I just said to my Mum I think he's dead & she said no...I just wanted to talk to him so bad but I hope it was peaceful...A loved one dying suddenly and without us saying goodbye hurts.And someone young hurts even more.
