My best friend's younger brother was an extra in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. He had to sit on a staircase, and Benedict walked right past him. I was watching the DVD with my friend and said brother, and he said, "I had to wait around for ages while we did all these takes of that same scene." I think the entire time I was internally chanting, "you don't know how lucky you are."
Sigh...I saw him in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy", and thought he was cool. I saw him in "Sherlock" and fell in love with him. I saw him in "Hawking" and my respect for his ability as an actor grew exponentially. I started reading interviews and watching him on talk shows, and I was done for. Hey, I love Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, but I wouldn't necessarily want to have coffee with them. But I could talk to Ben for hours. What a great guy. Is there a support group for Cumberbitches?
i also first saw him in Tinker Tailor. Then got attracted to him in Sherlock. Then "The Imitation Game" comes along :)

Emy F. Have you seen both shows live and at city showings? My friend and I have seen both shows. Yes he does play both roles, but not at same time. He and another actor Jonny Lee Miller are both starring roles and alternate each show. Jonny will play Frankenstein and Benedict will play the Creature, and vice versa each show. But they both are not fully naked on stage, they wear sheer clothing.
