      G'day Linda.
Thanks so much. This is something I remember my nan making on a regular basis and then my mother and now my children have grown up with me making it quite often.
I actually make curried a few ways, but this is my most common recipe and I am so happy to share it with everyone and I really hope some people will give it a try and see how wonderful it is.
All the best and take care Linda.

I remember when crock pots were famous. Set things up at night, turn it on before you go to work. Get home with the dinner ready 😊😊

I can't wait to try this! I love my crockpot and have had it for years. I am handicapped and have more strength and energy around mid-morning, so that's when I get everything prepped and into the crockpot and at dinner when I am "spent' for the day we can have a delicious, healthy home made meal for dinner!

    • @MyAussieGardenKitchen

      G'day Tabbichat.
Yes, I can absolutely understand how this would work for you.
The only downside for me is that I have to spend all day smelling the delicious food in the house and knowing that it is still hours away. 😂
I really do hope you enjoy this and a lot of people say that it actually tastes better the next day. I agree!
Take care and all the best.

I am so happy to be in this collaboration, as we use ours a lot and I had so many choices to pick from.
It is filling, but it's not uncommon to see a few people go back for more later and we ALWAYS make extra as this is popular as lunch the next day or dinner 2 nights later.
      Take care LeAnne.

      G'day my friend.
YES!!!!! The only problem with a slow cooker/crockpot, is that if you are home all day, you need to endure the lovely smells and try to be patient. 😂
Oh, honey gives such a delicate sweet tone that that curry flavour. I do this in a few recipes.
I also like to use the honey and beef sausages from the supermarket for this.
I do make a few versions of this, but thought that this would be a good introduction for our friends overseas and beginners everywhere.
Thanks so much and take care.

Hey Daz! Getting caught up on everyone’s videos. I love watching what people use in other countries and how they are different from us in the US. We have sausages like that but ours are usually bigger those are more like the size of our breakfast sausages. This looks delicious I love using onion, sausages and potatoes! This dish looks delicious! It was great collaborating with you again!

Thanks so much. I wanted to share this one in the collaboration as it was a chance to show people overseas something a little different.
      Well, that was the plan.
I make this a few ways, but this is the basic and more common recipe, but I added honey, which is not that common. I love the hint of sweetness with taste of a mild curry.
I thoroughly enjoyed this collaboration and we will be eating a lot of new things, which is exciting.

      @MyAussieGardenKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      G'day Lisa.
The problem I had with this, was that I could smell it cooking ALL DAY and it was driving me crazy. Nothing I ate to get rid of the cravings would satisfy me, as I just wanted to eat this.
I grew up on this, as did Emma and we do this a lot!
I usually sauté everything, rather than "dump and go", but I wanted to shat that this is a recipe that really packs a lot of flavour with all the sautéing.
      Thanks and all the best.

Oh before I forget, do I spell your name Vicki, Vicky... I keep on forgetting as I had a looong time friend Vicky years ago and I'm so worried I will spell you name wrong. I need to writ it down. 🤦‍♂️
Dinners can be quite good as my wife is an incredible cook and she makes a lot of international dishes.
On a good week, we'd have Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Turkish and maybe another from one of those countries or some basic and more common Aussie or USA foods.
Having said that though, if I'm having a bad day or my wife is too busy, it's cheese toasties all round or frozen pizza, so it's not always that great. 😁
      Thanks and take care.

    • @MyAussieGardenKitchen
      @MyAussieGardenKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      G'day.
      Oh I hope he does.
This is very close to the most common recipe people would do over here, but I add the honey just to give a hint of sweetness, which is great with curry powder.
I occasionally use honey/beef sausages in this too. Yum!!!!
I think you would find that most Aussies would cook it in a pot on the stove too.
We do make it that way too from time to time, but I prefer the slow cooker, as the sausages soften up so much and the constancy is just awesome!
The curry powder is also meant to just add that flavor and not really have a burn like a traditional Indian curry would for instance.
Thanks so much and good luck!
      Daz.

      G'day Joan.
Oh, thanks so much. The beauty of this recipe is that it does not have that spicy hot burn of a traditional curry and the addition of honey for a hint of sweetness is absolutely delicious.
I really hope she likes it.
Thanks so much and take care.
      Daz.

@@MyAussieGardenKitchen That's good to know! We, Husband and I, can't eat anything to spicy anymore. Our daughter loved the recipe and she's going to try it!

      G'day Laurie.
This is a nice, mild curry, with a hint of sweetness from the honey.
It's a combination we enjoy here and I do it in a few recipes.
All the best and take care.

      G'day Tarra.
I hope you and hubby enjoy this one.
It's bit of a fave over here in Australia and I think a lot of people my age grew up eating a version of this.
Take care and all the best.

      G'day Lisa.
Yes, I was talking to a friend in the USA recently and we were discussing how this is something my Nan and mum used to make and it's very much an Aussie fave, yet my friend had never seen anything like it and was amazed.
I just love the way we can use TH-cam to share things with each other.
All the best and take care.
