    Great Video 👍 You will need ISTA to fix the rest of the problems. Might as well pick up INPA and NCSexpert to easily code the exchanged parts.
    ISTA is necessary to relearn the motor positions used for active steering.
    Be sure to find the right ecu (SZL) that lives under the headunit, otherwise seats will not work.
    Good luck 👍

    I think you said the cluster is from a 545i parts car so at least it’s coded to recognize active steering and ars through the dsc. That’s a huge plus for you considering you’re not dealing with a cluster that’s dsc did not have active steeeing.

      Yes, I did run both Vins through Mdecoder to match up the options. Somehow the navigation slipped through, but I was able to adapt the parts car’s nav system by salvaging some of the parts car’s harness.

    Just a thought - the steering warning light might indicate that the steering wheel sensor is not calibrated or off. If the car did not have its steering rack damaged/replaced/fiddled with, try rotating the steering wheel from one position to the opposite and back about 3-6 times (do the full rotations, of course). Turn the engine on, put the steering wheel into the far left position, then start turning right until it stops, then go back till it stops and so on. Sometimes, it works after 5-6 full circles, sometimes - after 1 or two. However, considering that you replaced the steering column, I would go with checking the cables to the steering wheel angle sensor together with checking the sensor itself. And the replacement column should be in the list of the suspected devices, too. Good luck!

    You have to turn the steering to the left and right and then that light would be disappeared

    Why would they make it so hard to replace the battery in the key fob?

    • @rebuildrevival
      @rebuildrevival  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Alex, it’s very annoying but the battery is supposed to recharge while in the ignition in this type of fob. Thanks BMW!!
