Making resin miniatures is easier than you've been told. In this video, we tell you all the steps you need to build your resin models. We also share some secrets we use to speed up the building process.
The strainer in a bowl idea is great, definitely using that. I was just running water into my strainer but didn't use a bowl before.
Thank you & a Happy Christmas! I'm currently building a WW2 German SDKFZ 251/D in 1/16 scale & have bought a resin 1/16 scale PAK36 anti-tank gun for the half-track to tow. The PAK36 will be my first resin model build & I will be ordering some tools not already in my modelling toolbox. A really helpful video!

Dremel grinding burrs are your friend for weird negative spaces/shapes like ball sockets/joints.
Good video but 90% of it is not unique to resin in particular, it's just sorta...a miniature building tutorial. A masterclass though
I have a question. I just bought some 3d printed resin models. They were still stuck to supports so I had to give them a Hot water bath and seperate the supports. I inspected the models and am under the impression that they are ready for prime and paint. So finally, here's the question.
Since they were 3d printed do I need to worry about the releasing agent and give them a proper wash or did I already fulfill that requirement by dousing them in hot water to seperate from the supports?
Just curious as most likely not all resin is the same and now that 3d printing is more popular and I'm just starting to explore those types of models, thought I'd ask.
No need to wash them more than you have. Release agent will only be on models cast in a form!
@@theminiaturemen40k I thought as much. I was a little intimidated by ordering resin just from its "difficult to work with" reputation. Not all resin is the same. *sigh of relief* Thanks for the vid it was really informative.

I am deep hater of resin minis, and adressing one of your points in the video I can’t buy my minis from any other place than eBay because I live in a third world country with literally a singe store in the entire country that sells ( some ) minis, so if I buy resin minis and they have defects well guess $70 ( which is a lot in my country’s money) to the trash can.
By that same reason I can’t afford to buy most of the tools I would need to work with resin.l or of I can afford them they are not for sale in here.
The only advantage that resin has is that is cheaper to produce minis and nothing else.
I crave the day we fin sly stop making minis with that abomination we call resin”
