    I'm a man in my 60's. In 1985, I was in the Marines. Another guy was showing me a photo of his wife and I commented about how pretty she was. I think she may have been holding a little white poodle. He then actually sold me the photo for $1. He was pretty goofy, obviously. Anyhow, you look exactly like that woman. This would be so weird... never mind.

    Thanks for the video. I have succeeded in loading the elastic thread in the bobbin but now I can't get the elastic to pull up through the bottom of the machine. Any tips please? I have a brother se425

    Very educational. Thanks. How is the thickness of the elastic measured? Where can buy the thicker version? Thanks

      This video aired on It's Sew Easy, on PBS, and the policy is you can't share brand names. However, from memory, StretchRite is fatter than Dritz. There is no way to measure, other than comparing one with the other. My pattern, Sensational Shirring gives ALL the how-to's and lots of fun designs with all types of shirring techniques. How do you attach the free motion square to the garment? Are interfacing the back of the garment or the flower?

    • @londasews
      @londasews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for asking - I just tacked the flower to t he garment by hand. It's lasted through washing - hang to dry - about 5 seasons now.

    I have elastic thread in my bobbin and I am stitching with a 4.5 length stitch. I am not getting enough of a "ruffle" it's really kind of flat. What am I doing wrong? I need more pull up.

    Great video! The free motion technique has so many possibilities. I can't wait to show this technique to my granddaughters.

    Does the elastic thread also go thru needles?

    • @londasews
      @londasews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no - elastic thread ONLY in the bobbin.

    That’s a cover stitch there’s no blade

    • @londasews
      @londasews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may look like it, but truly - it is the Chain Stitch, not a Cover Stitch. Both of those don't use the Blade, but rather move the blade down, below the surface.

    I noticed that your knife was not in the way could you please explain I have a brother 1034D

    • @carlcaputo222
      @carlcaputo222 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the 1034D is only a 4 thread serger, the machine she is using is a cover-stitch machine. When I don't want the fabric cut with my 1034D, I move it out of the way.
