- Eventide Island can be tough without any of your stuff to back you up. But with this new glitch, you can keep your whole entire inventory during the challenge, including your weapons, armor, food, and more! Here's how to do it.

Just drop whatever loot you want (excluding armor) on your raft, before the trial starts, and then just drop the loot before the trial ends too.
here's a couple of ideas to make eventide easier:
1. if you have amiibo, use them before you set out to eventide, but don't open the chests. instead, use cryonis to build an icy path to the island, but remember to move the chests as you go or they will fall into the water. (if you're lucky, you may get some clothing to protect you in the amiibo chests. just a theory though cause I didn't think of bringing an amiibo chest with me when I tackled the challenge.)
2. when you arrive at the island, drop into the shallow water but not onto dry land, for some reason, only dry land (excluding rafts, flying machines, climbing on trees) can start the trial. drop some items such as weapons, shields, food, and chuchu jelly. (don't drop bows because there's not a good source of arrows on eventide) (the chuchu jelly can make a good trap to slow down enemies if you find yourself spotted and swarmed)

Yeah the challenge is easy
If you just land in the shallow water right before you step on to the island you can drop anything you want from your inventory. Walk onto the island, trigger the monk, when he finishes his instructions and takes your remaining gear you just turn around and pick up the inventory you dropped, food included.. Viola, easy trip to the island..
But you don't have your food and your armor, that's the point of this new glitch

I wouldn’t recommend doing this if you’re stuck.. takes the fun away. Do this if you’re bored and have already beaten it as I have.

I mean it’s not actually that hard too, I think you keep your arrows too, so you can get a bow and bomb arrow everything.
If you don’t have bomb arrows, any other arrow works fine. Bomb arrows just do the most damage, aside from ancient arrows.
I dropped some savage lynel weapons by the shore before the monk began his dialogue. Picked them up when he took my inventory.
That also is a good method, if you're OK with no armor or food

@@RG_Cardthree drop them before you put the orb on the last base. I usually leave the one by where the shrine appears and drop the shields, swords, bows and ancient arrows.
I drop them at the shore and then drop them again right before the last orb by the shrine
You also could use moon jump to slide in eventide without activating the monk’s dialogue

@@ungratefulape9121 You need to do a fall damage cancel while you’re paraglading to slide then you can use zl and a direction to change the direction of your slide

Just be SUPER careful ! I tried the glitch and before you enter the shrine you NEED to save and reload ! If not, the quest will infinitely stay in your inventory ! When you have finished the island with the glitch, (for me but I think all SD cards are the same) the environment sounds will be off, so if you use revali's gale for example, we will hear revali's voice BUT you won't hear the wind. Same for running, climbing, we don't hear it. But we can hear the sounds in the menu etc. Once again be careful !
I would be interested in knowing when "CalamityGames364" made this "discovery". Not saying two people couldn't stumble upon the same thing. It seems a bit sus that someone reached out claiming to have found something I posted a video on on April 12th. Would love to hear their explanation on why this occurs, or the other methods of producing it. You are great though ThornyFox. Fantastic job explaining this. Keep up the good work.
Oh hey Cactus Plant I watch your videos too! CalamityGames came to me about a month ago saying he found the glitch a few weeks before writing (Seems to add up with the April 12th date). He said he was the only one to know about the glitch even after researching and sounded genuine, but still definitely possible he saw your video. To be safe, I'll put your tutorial in my description seeing as yours was the first ever video on the glitch.
Actually I was the guy who found this. I can't really provide a source proving that i am myself, as this is just as different Google account. I found this when I wanted to dupe korok seeds using the previously discovered eventide glitch (to dupe key items). Then, because I have the dlc, I wanted to keep the divine beast emblems in my inventory, so I beat the illusory realm in all of the divine beasts, therefore only spending the copies, so I could keep them after I was done with the glitch. After I beat the Ganon in the illusory realm I noticed that all of my stuff was back, which I thought meant disabled the glitch, but when I returned to eventide after forgetting to save and reload, I noticed that the glitch was actually still active since the monk didn't start talking, which is where this whole discovery led to. So I didn't see any video or article online pertaining to this exact discovery, which is why I wanted to send this to a youtuber to see what they thought. I still don't know if I'm the first to discover this, though I'd imagine I'm not. All I know is that no one else had posted about this until I told ThornyFox.

It happened to me once by accident and I thought it was a wrong loading of the game until someone mentioned in a different video that it can actually happen if you stare in the sky for a while
It's strange to know that the one hit obliterator is just sitting in the sky at all times
@@ThornyFox That and it is resting in the Shrine of resurrection too. Maybe it's following Link around and teleports back to the shrine when Link enters it or there's two of them. One is in the shrine of resurrection the whole time and the other is in the sky and falls down when Link looks up
In the time it takes to set it all up you could just complete the island the way it was intended but this is still pretty cool and fun to mess around with on your 2nd+++++ play through

Nice but I think it's just quicker and easier to complete the challenge. One tip- you can slam into the hynoxs head and his eye will pop out. Grab it and run up the hill to the drop off portal. You may want to dispatch the enemies camping up there beforehand. Drop the eye in the portal and take off. At the end of completing the island challenge you can go back and finish off the hynox (thats what I did anyway).

Eventide is easy for late game players like me who have max stamina almost all hearts master cycle zero all divine beasts permanent 60 damage master sword since I’m used to being in low resource moments like in the master trials eventide island is a mere 1 level in the master trial not even

This exploit confused me for so long when I was trying to keep the Devine emblems in the champions ballad via eventide storage. It brings sort of a 3rd temporary inventory because you have your stuff but eventide is technically not completed, so your key items will still all be returned after saving and reloading even tho u used them in your “real inventory“ when interring the rematch...? Weird

For the people that do not have the DLC,
you can teleport to Chaas Qeta shrine and sail from there to the stable, then drown and sail to eventide then just teleport to divine beast, leave and teleport to chaas qeta again and your good to go

I tried to drop all my stuff on the raft but it all disappeared. Thanks for the glitch!
When you try to do it on the ref you get close to the island with the raft without touching it then drop all your weapons on the boat then step on the island and then after the scene you go back on the raft and get your weapons back with no closet glitches
Yeah the catch with the drop-trick is that is at the end of the challenge, the monk will take your weapons away
@@ThornyFox No problem. You just drop your stuff again. You have to remember to drop your stuff before you sink the 3rd orb. All in all, the "drpo stuff" trick is much easier than the trick in this video, but you can't take things you can't drop, e.g. armor, arrows, and meals. So this new trick is better.

But there is a glitch easier, go near the iland with boat, just drop Shields , weapons bow…
And use polaris to drop the weapon on the iland , go on the iland , and after the cutseen you weapons are on the ground.

thorny fox there is an easier way for people withought the travel medalion all you have to do is get near the island and throw you're stuff to the island then after that you just walk in and grab you're stuff, then at he end before the end you drop you're stuff again and caboom. (if you don't drop the before the end you lose them)

That's true, if you don't have the DLC that's a good option. With this you get to keep everything else you can't drop, including arrows, armor, and food

@@ThornyFox just use electric ChuChu jelly to drop bows and shields... There are enough arrows on the island for you to beat it...

I was thinking of using this in a challenge run I'm currently doing, but I can't do any divine beasts. Is there any alternate way to get inventory back other than divine beasts?
not that i know of unfortunately, but there is a way to keep your weapons at least. simply drop them on the ground, start the challenge and then you can pick them up

What happens if you just set up the medelion on the island and then exit it and teleport back? Or set up the medelion near the boss fight and teleport to the medelion from the island then back?
You probably could set it up on Eventide Island, since you have to go there after drowning. The reason you can't put it anywhere else like at a divine beast is because you'd need to race to the island before the minigame ends, since you wake up at the Medallion

Or you could take all your weapons and use magnesis and put them on the island and put then get on the Island and take them and I'm guessing you can do the same with your inventory but you have to take it all out again before you put the orb in the thing to get the shrine or it will he deleted not the exact thing but still works

When I do it, I don't keep all my stuff. Just chuck a couple of weapons and armour pieces on the beach while I'm still kind of in the water. Then put them back in the water again before I leave. Its a lot easier than moon jumping and doing all this but this is definitely useful for some other more abstract situations.
What happens after you've beaten Eventide? Normally your inventory gets reset to before and you lose everything you have at the island, so this is kind of a paradox in my head :D
Surprisingly (and thankfully) the monk doesn't reset your inventory when you beat the challenge with this goitch

Monk doesnt reset your inventory after youve beaten it (ive beaten it and my items are back)
I usually go to the sand right before the trial starts and drop all my weapons than enter the trial, after that I just go pickup the stuff I dropped 😂

You could use the Shrine near Eventide instead of the travel medallion, but you'll still need the DLC for the boss rematch sadly
I dont have the champions ballad dlc, but can anyone atleadt tell me how to get up the last mountain? ( the big one near the hinox)
There's a spiralling path that starts at the right side of the Mountain that you can easily carry the orb up
Is there an easier way to get your stuff back? I'd rather not have to do the whole champions ballad.
I think that Eventide is way more fun to do normally. Dropping weapons offshore or doing this glitch makes it easy, which is boring. But still this is a very cool glitch and I bet it can be used for other stuff too.
I've been trying to do a glitchless, no death run or I restart run. I lost when the eventide honor sat on me bc I got careless

The easiest way to keep you weapons is fly over, land in the water and swim until you can touch the bottom. Before walking out of the water on to the beach, drop everything you want to take, weapons, durians, then walk on shore. After the challenge starts, turn around and all your stuff will be there in the water. BEFORE you set the 3rd orb, drop everything you want to keep and when the challenge ends and you're dressed again, your stuff will be there to pick up. I took the Amiibo Twilight Bow to Eventide Island and never needed arrows. Just DO NOT forget to drop it before right before you set the last orb!
whats a travel meddalion
After you complete the challenge, do you lose your stuff? It wouldn’t make sense if you did but I am curious
Thankfully you don't lose anything, so it's safe to complete the challenge

You need the DLC to do it, then you can get killed by Thunderblight Ganon hundreds of times like me :)

I passed on the eventide island shrine before freeing my first divine beast. I was kinda weak so for me I needed 2 days for it... anyway before touching the dry part of the beach I dropped some of my weapons so I could use it, and I knew if that was so easy to cheat I wouldnt get my weapons back so I didnt dropped the better weapons that I had, and I was right
This is probably old news but with Hinoxes I just found out that you can glide over them while they're sleeping and come down with a sword attack on the knecklace ball and knock it off then just take it and steal it from them lol

You could, but that means that you lose those items once the monk returns the items that you didn’t drop.

The monk will take dropped items at the end, but for some (good) reason, he won't take your stuff afterward if you use this glitch

I used cryosis from the tiny shrine island to get there cause I didn’t want to drop a weapon. And then used like 60 bombs to kill the blue hinox.

Ah finally someome noticed it lol. That is the sword from the dlc that fell from the sky. For some reason the developers put a copy up in the sky near Ruta, and if you stand nearby for long it enough you can watch it fall all the way down.
does this work for trial of the sword
If the trials were in the same map as Hyrule it would work, but because you need to teleport to get inside, it doesn't work sadly
The largest takeaway i got from this is that the blue flame lady has a mini game😭😭I’ve never activated it w her any time i talked to her
Dude all I did was take a raft and before you touch the beach drop a shield and bow and weapon and they'll still be on the island when you get your stuff taken
This took longer to pull off than just doing the island. Took me 3 tries and one was because I had to leave and you cannot save on the island.

You can refigjt the illusion realm bosses as many times as you want so you should be fine
I just threw the heat I wanted off the raft or was it on the raft. and then activated the quest. Then recollected the gear

The quest for the shrin does not complet if you did the glitch
Easy way just drop your weapons where you can just reach I on a raft go on to the island grab your weapons boom done. Btw you will lose the weapons so if you do t want weapons do the glitch!

Yep you can also do it with the Flight Test minigame on Ridgeland Tower. Though you'll have to fly all the way to Eventide Island without touching the ground, so you will need to use wimdbombs or the new BLSS glitch to get there.
