Most people I know that have criticized BotW haven't tried actually playing with the physics engine itself. I thought it was a decent game just exploring, doing combat, and doing shrines... But my current playthrough, I'm actually learning the physics engine and implementing the mechanics/tricks available and it has become 10x more fun. Boomie zoomies are my personal favorite, I use them literally every chance I get. But the other tricks like BTBs, stasis launches, or heck even using octo balloons or korok leaves in combat-it is truly a versatile sandbox.

Don't be dumb like me and accidently throw the ball in the mud(Did this on my first playthrough). It will be like trying to roll out of a deep ditch. It's possible and time consuming, as you have to constantly stop time, and blast it out

Yeah me too, unfortunately it’s much easier in this context to just set a flag (1 or 0) for whether the shrine is complete or not, which is how they choose to show you the first message or not. Once that flag is set by unlocking the shrine, it won’t let you trigger the initial cutscene again
Actually, when he got the final orb in, the game triggered the "I've taken your items" message and gave him the quest right before giving them back and marking the quest complete. That was just edited out.
He would have been able to touch the ground after the shrine appeared, then, right? The quest was completed, so it wouldn't have triggered again. Or am I missing something?
This might be irrelevant here but I felt pretty stupid after watching him take a boat to Eventide island when I used cryonis to slooooowly get all the way over there.

I landed here when I had 5 hearts and still pretty new I suffered but the experience brought forth some outside the box thinking which paved the way of how I blast through the harder challenges later on

I've never seen anyone octo balloon a raft before and in my head the "he might be the best pirate I've ever seen" meme played and I almost burst out laughing
there once was a man who could skip it he blew up his raft just to flip it but stood on a chest and triggered the quest and the whole chat would press F and clip it
This game is amazing. The island was obviously never intended to be done in that way, and the fact it lets you do it in such an amazing fashion is just awesome. I wish more games werethis way
Stupid protip about eventide: when you reach the island, stand in the water close to the shore, drop some good gear, walk onto the island, lose all your stuff, then pick up the stuff you dropped.
