I feel so sorry for the owner of this business...watching his livelihood literally "going up in smoke." Hope he had insurance on this business! ☹️

    • @KrK007
      @KrK007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

I'm sure they had insurance, but there's no way it'll cover the losses to all that inventory. A lot of those cars were clearly insurance auctioned vehicles for parts and repairing, etc so the way that'll work is they'll give you what you paid for it at auction when you bought it. If you don't have meticulous records (or if they were destroyed in the fire) it's like those parts didn't even exist. This is going to be an insurance adjuster's nightmare and it's unlikely that anybody is going to be happy with the results.

    • @jt8251

I feel a lot sorrier for the residents in and around this fire. You can see how desperate they are to get their only valuable assets (e.g. cars) away from the fire. I'm fairly certain those people don't have any insurance to cover those losses.

In Europe (by law and insurance obligation) the first thing that is done when a vehicle arrives at a scrapyard is to remove the battery and empty the fuel tank and daily come recyclage companies to collect the batteries and fuel, they do it just to reduce the risk of dramas such as video.

If I had a beautiful detached house in such a warm region. Then the first thing I would do is build a hose (cheap) or water pipes around the house that are triggered in the event of a fire, but also Manuel when it is very warm.
If possible also around the garden.
Then water comes from all sides around the house.
When the fire brigade starts, a switch comes with water around the house and property.

@@chrisfrom8585 That's not an excuse. The volunteer department I ran with, over 20 years ago, was for a town of roughly 1000 people. We had 2 engines with 1000 and 1500 gallons of water each, 1 3000 gallon tanker and a 500 gallon grass rig. We didn't need a water supply to get started on fighting the fire. If the engine they had didn't have it's own water tank on board, that's not the city's fault, that's the fault of whoever designed the truck.....the fire department. And I can guarantee you that this departments budget was at least 10x the budget of our little department, that only had about 20 firefighters, all volunteers.

So are all these people probies or what and where is your mutual aid ground units at this fire shouldn't have gotten out of hand like this had proper response protocols been filled in the first place and why were civilians allowed back into an active fireground

This is why you should have a plan for everything in your city like what resource you need to fight the fire and water supply and everything else you need this was very uncoordinated

I wonder how many didn't read the description and know that they didn't have access to water. Read the description before commenting about water. Oh and I can see that the residents were also running over the hoses

Watching that pickup bed of fire hoses burn up while they are waiting to get more hose to water was a bummer.

you guys can say easy easy all day long but i highly doubt he understands you and second i highly doubt he is here legally at his age. there is a reason his prices are so low he doesnt hire legal citizens therefore he doesnt need to pay for their health benefits insurances and he doesnt have to abide by minimum wage laws neither..
