Very funny! (Cooking with the dog!)
Paulo Emmer I caught that too.....cracked me up.
Brasileiro?
Just made this 10 minutes ago... so yummy.
THANK YOU!
Oh god damn this looks so good
I think this might be my favorite recipe so far. It's SO GOOD! Not to mention filling. Thanks runnyrunny!!
Oh my gosh, that beatboxing lol.
Thanks
You did brilliantly, Taro-san. Always exciting to watch your videos!
Dancing rice at 5:52
HAAHAH I SEE OMG LOL
haha I love the ending there with CWD and NGS, been subscribed to them for so long. this was awesome to see haha!
Oh my gosh the intro! XD LOL

If you can't find Japanese rice try to find "sushi rice" in your local supermarket (if there's an Asian ingredient section you could try to find them along with soy sauce & other Asian seasonings) or in Asian food stores. It's basically the same thing or at least similar short grain rice that's more starchy and will stick together better. if you really really can't find them, buy the cooked rice from a Japanese restaurant and u can still make the burger at home. 2 bowls(servings) of
WHY IS THE EGG SO BIG
omg why not as big in america or is it just the camera or whatever?
@LadyLatias No, I actually used Botan Calrose Rice that I got in the Asian section of the grocery store. I use this kind of rice all the time in my rice cooker. I just can't make it stick together to make onigiri. :( I rinse the rice several times before cooking it. Maybe that takes too much starch out, and maybe it needs the starch to stick together?
Really random I know but this music makes me want to watch Yu yu Hakasho lol.
Very awesome video Runnyrunny999!!
I'm very glad I was able to have some part in it!
IT WAS FRANCIS RIGHT HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@balletdancer247, it's japanese short-grain rice, you can also find it under the name sweet rice i think. you could use another short-grain rice like arborio (which might be more available than japanese rice). Japanese sweet rice is what they use to make sticky rice, and a special preparation is what makes it "sushi rice" (I think they add vinegar after cooking?)
you could also use plain long-grain white rice in a pinch, but the taste/texture will be different.
ヒカキンでてるww
@pkkaster so true! always so calmed and composed! I like that with Taro-san they show another side of themselves! and MAYBE one day his face!! let's keep on hoping!
OMG Hikakinn, i love BOth of you
@nightshade4999
Rice burger is quite known in Japan. I just made it more in Japanese style lol Shiso aroma, shiraga-negi texture, teriyaki flavor, and sesame flavor rice patty... You can enjoy every one of each taste only in one bite!
runnyrunny999 you are so cute
Sasaki Umiquema Get him gurlll!!!
You said "both sides" perfectly at 6:16! Great!
Also, this looks amazing, I can't wait to make these for my husband and I.
Cracked up at the sound effect while grating the ginger, that looks so delicious I can smell it through the computer. XD
1. That was indeed, an epic beatbox intro.
2. It was hilarious when you rolled the triangular onigiri, and then "But no!" and ripped it up.
3. This looks delicious, and I believe I will make it for lunch
4. Liked and subbed.
Yay! I got to be goofy laughing guy at 9:02! Recipe looks great, Runny! Headed to the kitchen now! And thanks again for letting me help out. ^_^
If you took some gluten-free bread slices (do they make that?) What you would want to do is use a grater to grate large flakes of the bread. Then LIGHTLY toast the bread flakes. OR let them dry out a bit. That will give you the same consistency as panko. Because really, the only important thing that makes panko special is the thick, coarse consistency of the crumbs. It gives a delicious texture to fried goods. So do that, and you'll have made yourself some fine, gluten-free panko!
@AnnaMayEyes Westerners tend to use or buy long grain rice, which is near IMPOSSIBLE to make onigiri with. Try and buy a Japanese shortgrain rice, it sticks together a lot better.
@ candidly subtle
hi there, I don't know which part of the US you live in, but at least in california I know that most stores carry mirin in the "oriental/asian" aisle. the one I bought is called aji-mirin and it's the kikkoman brand.
hope this helps.
Runny, great job saying *boTH SideS*!! I remember that I cheered and clapped the first time Francis said "thoroughly" correctly on CWD. I felt the same way for you too when I watched this video. I need to make this recipe to celebrate!
Rachel Burney lol..."FRANCIS said" haha
This looks awesome! I love Japanese food! They don't serve Japanese food like these in Japanese restaurants in the U.S. They mainly just serve seafood or ramen. So unfortunate :(. I have to make these myself to try it.
this was amazing RUnny! I'm so gonna try this out and see if my friends will like it aswell^^ Sorry for that I couldn't join the collab^^;
Beatboxing and cooking...now I really have seen it all.
thanks for ur reply :) i've never seen shiso leaf before and i don't think i can easily find it in NY. i will use cilantro instead, may be. keep up ur good work and more bento recipes please.
These came out so good. I had to make it in two different one with onion and one with out (for my picky eater who doesn't like onion) but they where so good. And I couldn't find a shiso leaf so I used spinach but it still was really tasty. Thank you Runnyrunny!! ^.^ It was a bit hit in my house
bokujou monogatari backsound, love it!
Feed Hikakin lots of food...Go Runny!
Loved the intro. Those burgers look yummy!! Lol I love your videos runny, and your accent!
not only are runny runny 9's videos entertaining , they are also unique and runny runny speaks english very well for someone from japan :p
The ending with hyper CWD is awesome! :D I LOLed~ xD
このビデオ素敵です! 二人とも凄い才能だね!!
@hotkonto
Whatever brand but it should be sticky rice.
Hey runny, I made this recipe and it was great! The meat was juicy and tender. For the rice though, it falls off sometimes. So I either use the kind of paper you used to eat it with or I wrapped with seaweed on one side or used more oil.
美味しそう~~~~
super love how cwd and ngswcooking was cheering with you at the end.. with their icons obstructing theirs face xD this chicken burger looks delicious!
Hi Runny-san! I just made these burgers for myself after work tonight, and they are DELICIOUS!!! For anyone who's curious: I didn't use the mirin sauce because I don't have it and I used ground beef instead of ground chicken because I didn't have ground chicken. Also, I ate it like a regular burger between two pieces of bread instead of making rice patties because I didn't have time to cook rice. My point is, if you don't have a few of the ingredients, don't let that stop you from making it!
Thank U for this recipe. I tried others and they're delicius but this one will save me in the spring or summer picnics since I cannot eat flour... You rock please can you prepeare other non flour containing recipes? Ciao!!!
I LOVE THIS EPISODE!
haha love your vids always love the mistake noises and music, great job keep it up :D
Omg amazing! the very last message sure caught me off guard!
I'll be sure to try this recipe out :D I'll let you know how it goes!
I love your videos runny!!! Keep it up!!!
Thanks for those videos man! i love japanese food and culture you japanese eat so well and healthy and delicious plates!
I love your videos runny-san !
@08jinnodelosreyes
Wow it's interesting. We don't have rice burger at Mac in Japan.
@lazypuddycat I know I'm not Runny, but anywaaay.. as I know it's always better to shape the rice when its cold. And better if you wet your hands too with water. The point is to avoid the stickyness of the rice
I'm really stoned and I really enjoyed watching this.
I saw this at MOS Burger but didn't get to try. I'm definitely going to try your recipe!
I love your narration runny!
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I was having a really bad day, but you really cheered me up. Thanks again! :)
Hello! All those videos are AWESOME!!!
Can I wrap this up from previous day and put them in fridge so I eat them next day?
Don't worry, you are getting better at saying "both" :) I can tell the difference from other videos, so don't stress too much about it lol. Great video!
LOOOOOOOOLL. gotta love this guys humor. YOU sir, got yourself a new subscriber.
@hlahappy
Shiso is MUCH better if you want some accent flavor. But you can just use some lettuce.....
このライスバーガーすごいおいしそうです!
ご飯に万能ねぎを混ぜてパテ作るのいいですね♪
試させてもらいます!
最後に紹介いただきましてありがとうございました!
また生でコラボできたらうれしいです。
I´ll try it, Taro! Seems to be an easy recipe ;-) Love the japanese cuisine (since I have subscribed to your channel!) and the way you presenting it. Keep on running!
aaaaall the sauces are made with: sake, soy sauce, mirin and sugar XD
Runny you are so cute :3
@runnyrunny999 I love how there are such wonderful recipes like these that are not known cross country. If I were still in a Restaurant I would not hesitate to add this to the menu as an appetizer, or possibly a side dish or Amuse-bouche
The music when runnyrunny cook the rice patty kinda remind me of my pokemon childhood XD.
@cookingwithdog
shouldn't watch this at mid-night but I can't stop it, damn.
Runny I love you.
I'm a new fan, have been wanting to learn to cook healthier foods and you teach so well! Love the videos, and like how your personality makes the videos that much better. Thank you! :D
That really looks good. maybe I'll try to make it. And the beat box guy is great. Thanks for the post.
Great video! Thanks Runny for sharing the recipe now I can try to make my own rice burger even in Italy! How cool is that! ^_^
Wow ..I tried it yesterday and was super delicious!! Thanks runny
This recipe seems awesome. I remember eating orange-flavoured, pan-friend, chicken-filled rice balls once and they were absolutely delicious, but I'd never thought of substituting hamburger buns like this... I HAVE to try this next time I cook chicken.
Lmao @ the cooking trio :D Seems you guys had a blast.
I love watching the rice grain dancing on the pan at 6.00 :D
。You have magic hands !!!!!
have to try this for my hubby's lunch , thanks. but one question what can i use in place of shiso leaf?
I'm going to try and make this for lunch! :D Will be using lettuce as substitute for shiso leaves though 'cause I don't think we have that from where I live.
I LOVE this youtube channel!!!!
I will definitely be incorporating one or more of these recipes into my life now that I am moving out...
This is excellent!
Domo arigato!
Se ve realmente apetitoso!!. Un saludo desde España
Love how you put CWD and ngswcook in your video. And nice recipe :)
WHAT? RUNNY NGWSCOOK AND CWD?!?!?!!? DUDE! THE COOKING TRIO OF AWESOMENESS! YESS!
Acho que se econtro aqui na Madeira, deves conseguir encontrar onde moras também ^^
Lol when I was a little kid I couldn't say "both" either. It's a hard word! You can actually guess which region someone is from by how they pronounce it (at least in America). People from some places, like parts of the North, add an L, so it sounds like "bolth"
Love the cooking with dog reference!
I know in california some kids pronounce Both as Bowth with a W. I sometimes still do.
Question: What parts of the chicken goes into this minced chicken you used? Here its not common to have those in stores and I'll need to mince them at home.
I love your intro theme song xD
it's amazing :P
@KamedaFamily
ほんと堅い話になってるじゃないですか。。。^^;
架け橋なんてそんな大げさな事自分には到底できませんが、応援コメは最高にうれしいものです。ありがとうございます!
This was my very first runny runny video I watch! Thinking of you bro. Hope all is well miss you videos and you!
That's GORGEOUS! It's so inventive! Did you create this recipe yourself? I really enjoyed the video and hope to see more new and inventive recipes from you
@AnnaMayEyes Calrose Rice is supposed to be a good rice for making sushi, so I do not know what the problem is.
This is my first time watching this channel and I already love it.
@midbaconator if I remember correctly its sweet rice wine I'm not so sure but u can google it to double check
I'm very curious about the best way to eat the sandwich, I suspect the rice patty will not hold together. So, how does one try to eat it?
runny san, thank you so much for your cooking channel, its such an inspirational for me..., i actually use some of your food for my idea for tapas menu in my kitchen..., and it work well, and the guest love it!!!!
OH, another option is to toast the bread BEFORE you grate it. Just make sure you grate it with a large holed grater. You're looking for bigger crumbs, not fine dust. :)
This looks so good runnyrunny! seriously delicious!
honestly this video BLEW MY MIND i never thought NEVER thought you could do something like this sounds rediculous but seriously my jaw is on the floor
Great great stuff and looks very easy to cook, thank you very much!
And by the way, boTH your English is and cooking is awesome ;)
This was so amazing, Hikakin is my favorite beatboxer and runnyrunny999 is my fav cook. ^u^ they're so great!!!
