If your storage puddle has two-way access, it's best to put ladders over the water tiles to avoid the wet feet debuff; dupes can run across the top of ladders, and unlike mesh tiles items can pass through them.
pneumatic doors should work too. items pass through them & dupes should be able to reach through for items (even if door is locked). good point! dry feet are happy feet.

You should try Stationeers! It’s like a 3D infinite world, with realistic atmospherics and thermodynamics, much more deadly and hard, and experienced from first person ONI! Don’t start with Europa. The moon and mars are nice, though. Europa is cold. But mars is nice. Even though the solar panels can’t catch as much sunlight, at daytime you don’t even need to have your suit AC on! Just remember if your sealed room is cold and you’re not going to be breathing in it anytime soon, run your gas welder to rapidly heat it! Edit: Do die. You come back as a new person with lots of new equipment, and you can run your old equipment through a recycler, or just use it. Just take off all of your equipment first, or you’ll have to wait until your body decays to get it back. And if your corpse rots outside, all your stuff will probably be lost. (Unless you’re on a planet, not in space.)
could you make a 'super modded super dupe' series and I am amazed that such a great youtuber like you has so little subs by the way I just subscribed love your vids ,keep it up
Hey brothgar when you make a oxygen fissility put the buddy bud next to the pump and it spreads the “ germs “ throughout the base I used it in my base and it works great
I vote for a buddybud science video. Testing if a wheezewort, or oxygen diffuser, or the algae terrarium will enhance the buddy bud. Or, how does a tile full of the spores work when vacuumed up, then split apart and released
what i think would be, at least a very interesting mod, would be a machine that can make a geyser/vent dormant or active at will. i do not know what kind of crazy science would be involved, but it would be extremely expensive to build and operate

Cool steam vent outputs at 110C which is too cold for direct turbines. Should be able to cool the steam 15C to 95C then use that for hot water uses like electrolysis.

So I noticed a buddy bud in an airlock will pervent slime lung from coming in. Found it out by accident in my base.
