@@cigardock4834 how can you tell? They both look pretty legit to me. I am an original owner of a legit 507 and I also have a rep 382. The 382 here looks pretty dang spot on, just like my 507 but without the gold inlay in the engraving and of course one less complication. It puts my rep 382 to shame. But I know reps are getting better and better.
@@XennialGuy I have a rep Luminor and internals are interchangeable with genuine apparently it's that good. Looks stunning. Reps not claimed to be water resistant tho which would make this test more risky
What I have found is whenever I try to force the patina using these methods, it doesn't last very long, wears away within a few days. I have found that only time and actual use, especially in or near the ocean, is the only way to get a long-lasting green patina on my Bronzo.
@@dhobbyd Thank you. I just took receipt of a new Steeldive SD1958S bronze watch and the bezel is much darker than the case right out of the box and doesn't look right. I expected it to be the same colour so will try your technique and report back
If you just wear the bronzo it will naturally patina. Especially if you actually use it for what it was intended for. One day of snorkeling or diving and you will have a nice natural patina.
@@dhobbyd I'm going to go ahead and disagree. It's like saying Jordan shoes are more collectible if they are Michael Jordan US shoe size (13) and any other size isn't historic. The same goes for the IWC Big Pilot, the 5002 is so damn big no one wants it, historically and collection wise, it is the first Big Pilot sold in modern times, but it's huge. Just like the 47mm Bronzo.
Wow! Awesome video. So cool to see it in timelapse. Really love that blue Panerai btw :D
Gotta give the guy credit for taking a $7000 risk
Try $17,000. But it does no harm, and it can be removed with lemon juice and baking soda, or Sprite apparently.
Replica watches. More like 30k for green dial.

Ammonia vapor works very good on brass to make it look like bronze !
Thanks, plan on buying the 42mm in blue. Now I know how to change the color on them!!
Big thanks!
Will the green patina from vinegar wear off and stain your hand?
Think you! Where did you get the lether strap for the 42mm bronzo? From panerai accessories? Thank you
yes, its the original panerai strap
Stunning

Won't O-rings get damaged?
Nicely done 🤘🏻
Great video btw! Do you rinse both watches in water after the Sprite?
Yes I do

Why would you do that to a beautiful watch!
This is actually the bronze disease, the metal is damaged and has destroyed the property that the watch would get from a healthy patina

Panerai is Love ❤️
Why one do you like, the 42mm or 47mm?
depends on your wrist size. for Asian like me, 42mm sits better on my wrist. But in term of history & collectability, i think pam382 is best.

can it affect the lume?
Yes. I damaged the lume on mine 😖
I think those bad boys might be a tad too big for you😆.
and all seals gestroyed!
So only Sprite Will remove it ... Amazing.
Does the AR can get affected?
@@quepadrequemadreeducadores7237 I think the AR is on the inside of the sapphire crystal, so I would guess it’s ok.
