Love these videos. Did not know that about Girty, grew up in Shelocta & would go back & play in crooked creek all the time

I used to spend a lot of time in Shamokin, Frackville, and that general area. It was a different world from the Philly area where I am from. I remember going to the Schuylkill Mall before it got knocked down; it was a real great relic of the 70s and it's a shame it's gone. Also, as much as I want to be a snob about Philly cheesesteaks, one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had was in the nearby town of Girardville.

If you ever come across Moween (on the Westmoreland side of the Conemaugh) it would be interesting on how that name originated.

Noles... I love your videos... I love your presentation... but for the love of everything holy, please do whatever you need to do to get your volume levels up, irrespective of whether you're recording outside or at home. This should just be a setting in whatever software you're using to edit your audio and/or videos. Your videos are consistently the only ones I have to turn my volume way, _way_ up just to hear normally.
My computer's hooked up to my TV and for just about every video on TH-cam, good listening volume ranges anywhere from a 1 to a 10 or a 12 at the most. For your videos, I have to reach high up into the 20s or 30s. I know that's relative to equipment and not super useful as an objective metric of loudness. I'm only saying it to give you a sense of just how great the difference is.

The growing pains of a new TH-camr.

Oh, this is good to know. I have always struggled to get the audio from different sections to sound the same level, the overall volume being low didn’t occur to me as a problem. I will work on this!
