  • I bought this Mamiya second hand! Already had the first results in. Absolutely beautiful pictures, such a shame film rolls are so expensive these days. I'll have to pick precious moments to shoot with it!

Probably the most satisfying camera I have to shoot with. It's completely mechanical so no batteries are needed. And the whole sound it gives is just perfect

That's the one problem I have with film. It's SO expensive

It can be just about affordable if you buy wisely, such as waiting for sales of film, developing yourself, scanning using a dSLR. But yes it's still not cheap!

If you have a chance, I still recommend try to find RB-26 DETT.

Anybody know why the viewfinder in my Mamiya RB67 is just blurry without any clear image whatsoever? :(

Whats that black screen inside the viewfinder ? Mine dosent have that

That's probably a drop-in mask showing the actual frame for both film back positions. My ProS has moving masks that show the vertical (if you don't see them, you're in horizontal and use the scribed lines on the ground glass); this one looks a bit beat up, so that might not be working.

That is mask for 645 format.

@@GertjanVanVooren i got mine about four years ago, paid just over US$400 for the body, waist level finder, 6x7 and 6x4.5 film backs, and a 90 mm lens, all 100% functional. Prices have gone up some since then, but you can still get one for under US$600.

for me... after the last line. then I realize I didn't advance the film...

You must be paying someone else to process your film. I can shoot Fomapan or Kentmere *and process the negatives* for under US$10 a roll -- or about a dollar a frame. Portra is only about US$15 a roll...
I have one of these, BTW. Along with five lenses, wide angle filter, 2x teleconverter, three viewfinders, and eight film backs that fit (formats 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, and 6x9, though that last only produces a 6x7 image due to the baffles inside the camera body).
*Magnificent* camera/system. Even though prices have almost doubled in the past three years, still the best bargain in medium format.
