I was trying to rotate the door, but it rotated around far pivot center!

It is because maybe You didnt orient the door first in sketchup wherein the door hinge point SHOULD be at the ORIGIN POINT. that's why you got it wrong.
check it again

Tbh the more keyframes there would be the more complex the scene would become. Thus, you're skills in animating should also be on par. Probably start with as few keyframes as needed then get better over time before attempting a lot of keyframes
